  1. While I agree in large part, it just seems the conference got a pass this year. It felt like there was a LOT more focus on IU< when 2 ACC teams in the playoffs got beat far worse that IU did.
  2. The ACC is 0-3 in playoff/Bowl games so far. 9 more chances for a win though.
  3. You have been here just 13 days.....Curious how you know he is a lawyer.
  4. You get the feelin he knew all this?
  5. Kamara announces he is returning for another season.
  6. Not a fan of talking about guys taking over a team when they have a head coach in place, but I have seen and heard this a few times now.
  7. He even included the line at the end "Enter at your own risk" as his take on the old Pine Lakes commercials.
  8. Laugh all you want. It was actually in the description that TA wrote for the OOB.
  9. You give yourself WAY too much credit. Backed into a corner? Really? 😂 As far as that topic goes, YOU are the only one who has brought it up on this high school forum, still the main forum that drives this site. The other forums have different standards. The next level forum and the other clubs were actually ideas TA had. The initial OOB was a name he came up with and assigned one moderator to that forum to discuss other topics and have less strict boundaries. That said, let the people from this conference/area have their topic back. There were very specific reasons DT was brought up here, and from the point you inserted yourself into the conversation, it has sidetracked from that and the original conference discussions.
  10. I cannot disagree with anything here. But would add that while I support coop teams, I am just not sure it would be as popular as some may think. Indiana school districts have been consolidating for decades now. I think the schools not having football are mostly rural schools, where students already have a long drive to and from school. I am curious how far some would have to drive to be on a team that does coop? I can still support the idea of it though along with adding more 8 man teams. I think there is a lot of support for neutral sites and I would like to see it move to that. Interesting idea for seeding after sectionals. Travel is already an issue when you reach that point. That has been a key issue with seeding on a larger scale. I think California does an open division as well.
  11. Sorry you cannot comprehend rhetoric. 😆
  12. I did not ask anything. 😆
  13. Well this is pretty funny. You complain about a guy who inserts himself in threads, and actually inserted yourself in a thread to do so. 19 pages of conversations prior to this post. 🤣 The only reference I have seen about that topic is your post here. So, what do you want done to people who post about that topic? Or maybe DT was not onto something.
  14. There was a point where he did try to take over the site as well.
  15. There were actually no phone calls. He had a list of questions and emailed the coaches. Knowing a few of the coaches, I have seen the emails. Decent questions and all, but he often tried to make it appear he was doing a LOT more work than what he was. He even asked to be paid by this site for his work.
  16. nah....30 years in coaching in multiple programs, 35 years in education.... Experience is a great teacher.

    IU 2024

Which will be the main reason the playoff expands to 16 teams next year.
  18. You love living in the ideal world, don't you? Yes, they may have A parent......a parent who more often than not is working a job that does not pay well, and has limited education or knowledge of such things.
  19. Just came to mind that Saban also said this is something out of the hands of the NCAA. It will take an act of congress to fix it, because every time the NCAA tries to do something, they get smacked in court. And after the lost income settlement the NCAA is dealing with, they cannot afford to keep going to court. It likely leads to a league setup like other pro sports leagues. I am fine with that, but remember we are talking about teenagers instead of NFL players. You tell a 17 year old kid he could make $2 Million, he is not going to even think about commissions. He just sees the dollar signs.

    IU 2024

It would likely save a subpar ACC conference.
  21. It's still only one aspect to fix. They need to reign in the agent side of this. The NFL has very strict controls on agents, including limiting the percentage of a player's salary capping it at 3%. Stories are out about agents taking 20% of NIL money a player is getting. There are some where it is even more than that.
  22. You may be right, just tough to see Indiana kids going out of State to start as well as kids they get deciding to leave. I guess the same could be said for Donoven McCulley. I was really hopeful both of them would do well at IU.
  23. Yep. Gillis took multiple shots......Saban was clearly pissed. I also heard Saban go on a soapbox about the future of the game. He mentioned that contracts need to replace scholarships.
  24. I am aware. Just stated that the opinion that it should be is all. Even later in the post, I said it would expand to 16.
