  1. Sad to see him leave the State, and REALLY sad, but nowhere near as much as @temptation to see him go to osu 🤣. Staying out of the Mr. Football conversation completely. Best of luck to Mr. Curry.
  2. I agree about the ripple effect.....I think that effect will be much bigger if Carmel ends up being independent. It may motivate other schools to do the same. It may be more work in the short term for AD's, but could pay off in many ways down the road.
  3. This is great...seeing the guy on TV during the game was great

  5. Robert Irsay did the same thing when the Colts were in Baltimore.
  6. Which goob? there are PLENTY of goobs hangin around here. 🤣Oh, and welcome back
  7. I would add that a move on this level is something that was needed, something to stir the pot. I am excited to see how all this plays out.
  8. Possible fallout from this…….in other conferences where a couple teams at the top seem to dominate in terms of ALL sports, may decide to go independent as well. I think the possibility of Carmel just being independent is a very real one. It allows greater flexibility in scheduling……think beyond just football though folks.
  9. What if.......Carmel does not join a conference and stays independent? Or; maybe people in the SAC can confirm; but I believe Carroll and Homestead are only in the conference for football and basketball. The other sports are independent. I can see something like that happening for Carmel and CG.
  10. Think “Country Club” sports. similar thing happened on a much smaller scale when Homestead and Carroll were voted out of the NHC. The conference title tally, while low in football, was insane in those other sports.
  11. I have a feeling the ripple effect this causes throughout Central Indiana is going to be significant.
  12. I would have to think from a geographic standpoint, that Carmel may be accepted. CG may have to look closer to home.
  13. Thanks.....the last link is not working though. I am curious about the 149 schools without athletic training services though. My thinking is the insurance providers would require them for schools they cover.
  14. I believe the point of the post was actually that it is just a rumor as far as the job being filled, to show what would not be allowed hereWe all know there is more to a hire than just a name. The standard here is a news article, or some notice of board approval, Football Guru; as others have said, feel free to talk about who your ideal person is, but please read my post in the pinned topic as to why we don't get into actual speculation or rumors. Thanks
  15. I am not a fan of Collinsworth either....have not been for years now. It was as bad as listening to Nance and Romo gushing over Tom Brady. This was a funny moment in the game....and the dude realizes he is on camera makes it funnier. https://twitter.com/packers/status/1470245495138402304?s=20
  16. 14 plays and 8:38 off the clock; yep, great drive.
  17. The start to the half has been great. Getting that turnover was HUGE.
  18. Bears came out aggressive and caught Green Bay who seemed to be going through the motions early. Packers are lucky to be within one score. They get the ball to start the 2nd half. Offense needs to find its rghythm and the defense needs to commit someone to spying Fields.
  19. Great game.......seeing 54 after the game saying he had no idea the snap was coming to him on the fake punt......great stuff.
  20. Or Steamers.....thank you Bob Kevoian. 🤣
  21. Changed the title to other stuff, because there are some really cool things that happen from time to time. Last night, Marc Andre Fleury recorded his 500th win as a goaltender. There are only two other goaltenders in the history of the game to reach this milestone; Patrick Wah ( 🙂 Roy) and Richard Brodeur......funny that all 3 are French Canadians. What makes this moment cool is that it was in Montreal. While I am a Habs hater.... @Yuccaguy understands that too 🙂 , I can respect the fans in this moment. I can say, their fans know the game well, and understand moments like this. The video does not show it, but a few Habs players stayed on the ice to honor the moment as well. And as the clock ran out Matthew Perrault flipped the puck to the Hawks bench to be saved.
  22. and the fake slide is now going to be whistled a dead ball. https://www.si.com/college/2021/12/10/ncaa-rules-committee-outlaws-fake-slide-after-kenny-pickett?fbclid=IwAR2FQbZ52p9pltUcwP9kDUzy9IvQD8B8nHlVVd5D8uhGnt7dzmq-OkR4xVU
  23. Packers need a number though....so they can make sure they stay just under it. 🤣
  24. There is a pinned topic for assistant openings as well 🙂
