  1. The improvements under Woodson are noticeable, especially at the defensive end. But someone help me figure out what the logic is with turning Xavier Johnson loose late in games. As a point guard, he is good at getting the ball to scorers, but it seems late in games, he feels the need to shoot EVERYTHING. a HUGE and dominant lead blown at Wisconsin is unacceptable. There is not much offense on the team any way, but 17 points in a half seems to be a new low.
  2. 1. correct 2. mmmmmmmmmmaaaaaayyyyyyybe....who beats them?
  3. While Bama exposed him more than others, I have seen them play a few times and have not been impressed with the Georgia offense as a whole.
  4. I wonder why this never caught on. 🤣
  5. Glad to have seen this move back to its own weekend a couple years ago. So much to love and appreciate about this game. I have said it before but John Feinstein's book "A Civil War" is a must read about this series. Go Navy!!!
  6. I do think Michigan can beat Georgia.....I was not impressed with Bennett against the Bama defense. I think the Michigan defense will dominate. If they can pull it off, they are back in Indy; close to home; a slight advantage having just played in that building. Cincy's offense might be able to move the ball, but I do not think they have the defense to stop Bama.
  7. We have a common friend that is a Packers fan though. I would love to go, but with finals this coming week, I don’t want to use a day
  8. I have not heard a name. Freeman did say yesterday that BK offered it to him initially.
  9. hmmmm https://www.si.com/college/2021/12/07/texas-offensive-line-nil-deal-nonprofit?fbclid=IwAR19J5MYJa6OYx_6Qr4rLBICIZv8zVaQGg4Q99p9G8k2Xez6hor9fDh4OVY
  10. This has to be some kind of omen for the Flyers....like the black cat was for the Cubs in '69. 🤣
  11. Cost to the U $8 million to buy out Manny Diaz $9 million to buy out Mario Cristobal at Oregon $8 million for Cristobal’s salary Had Cristobal won a National Championship or two, mayyyyybeeeee. Miami is taking on the win now or go bust mindset apparently. I am not sure that college athletics can sustain this; throw in the NIL money players will be getting as well.
  12. Looks like some interesting games......on paper any way.
  13. I would say in that crowd Hutchinson. That may be the d line coach in me, but man is he a game changer
  14. Best of luck to the young man.
  15. The rule has been waived for a handful of basketball games over the years. I get the issue with the rule, but there are inconsistencies in it. Angola HS could play a game in Northern Alabama, but a team in Evansville would only be able to go the same distance in that direction. I could see adjustments to it. About 15 years ago, Cathedral was in the Herbstreit Classic at Nippert Stadium. There was a team from Mission Viejo, CA that was part of it as well. The people in charge wanted the two teams to play. Even though MV had traveled to Cincinnati, the rule still applied and Cathedral could not play them. Things like that I do not get. Maybe someday we will see changes, especially considering a team could potentially travel 300 miles and stay in State to play a game.
  16. Crazy that A&M was ranked 5th.....otherwise, not too shabby if I must say. 🙂
  17. So, no rule for this in the college game either, but Clawson is right. I do believe it is something that needs to be addressed. It is a huge advantage to QB's if they are able to do this. If a QB in one game does this a couple times, and their is a 3rd that gets to this point and a guy on defense hits him, and gets flagged for that.......just seems wrong. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32794482/wake-forest-coach-dave-clawson-says-ncaa-review-rules-fake-slides-following-td-pitt-qb-kenny-pickett
  18. If the Michigan offense that beat OSU shows up, they have a good chance of beating Georgia. I do like Michigan's defense to limit Georgia's offense. In the other match up, the Cincy offense can move the ball on anyone, but the question is will they be able to stop or even slow down the Alabama offense. I was impressed with that offense and what they were able to do against what I thought had been a good defense in Georgia. The Way Bama played, I think they are better than the others.
  19. Ok officials; do you call something here? QB fakes a slide and goes in to score a TD. It does appear the defensive player held up because he saw a slide coming.
