  1. Another sloppy game, but another win nonetheless. Have to play much better to have a chance against the Lions next week. It will be interesting with Willis getting the full week of reps at QB with Love injured.

Pretty cool to see that Corso still has this sweater.
  4. Possibly....but I would say if IU tops out at #10 and gets to the conference championship, a loss knocks them out of the playoff.
  5. Good question. It's been a long time since I have seen the bell in person. The only thought I have is maybe those years are on another part of the bell. Maybe @FastpacedO can verify?
  6. The Northside KofC Trophy
  7. Cathedral vs. Sacred Heart>Chartrand>Roncalli The games against Roncalli, although not played every year, date back to 1969 The Knights of Columbus Bell
  8. And IF Army and Navy finish undefeated going into their last game, they will play each other 2 weeks in a row.
  9. Man what a FUGLY game....but it still counts as a win. This division is unreal.

As far as the eye test goes, having seen plenty of both teams, IU is better than Notre Dame.

  12. This Officiating Forum is actually a sub forum of it. And here is the topic I referred to.

    The Pat MacAfee effect
  14. This was already discussed at length on the main forum. It is actually a lone topic. The gist is the white hat blew the whistle after the block. The play is dead at that point. Because it was a loose ball at the time of the whistle, the down is replayed. Everything that happened after the IA was correctly handled.

This team is much better than the one that started this season. The o line is much better. The biggest difference I see though is they have cut down significantly on missed tackles, especially open field tackles. It's great to see a big drop in penalties as well.
  16. Interesting notes: 1. Crowley was the head coach at Fordham when they had the 7 Blocks of Granite offensive line. Frank Leahy was the O Line coach. One of those Blocks was Vince Lombardi. 2. When I still lived in Indy, at the church I attended, I was an usher with Michael Layden helping out from time to time. Michael played at ND when his brother was a Coach. he was quite the character, even in his 90's. 3. While teaching in Catholic schools, I was at a school in the Broad Ripple area, and had a family of students that were the great grandchildren of Stuhldreher.
  17. Disappointing to say the least. Per site guidelines, an official release has been sent and can be posted here. So, the topic was opened again.
  18. So disappointing
  19. You mean something like tweaking the Cluster system? Bigger clusters/divisions/conferences?
  20. It's a step, but I also think add in what happens at the high school level; a 15 yarder for illegal participation. Had that been in place, Oregon never thinks about that 12th player as it would have put OSU in FG range.
  21. This is awesome
