  1. sooooooo. New year's Day 6, right? lol
  2. So, if Bama puts up a couple more scores, does it knock Georgia out of the top 4?
  3. That game was nuts. Everything changed from the point Baylor went for the 4th and 1 on their own 36. Up 21-6, play the field position game. Nice to see them hang on to win.
  4. well, to compare, Holmgren and McCarthy only have a street and no statue in Green Bay. I even think McCarthy's is a street inside the parking lot and stadium area. lol This does make me think of Steve Fisher at UM though.
  5. Let's go Baylor 😁 opened a huge can in this first half.
  6. Why, yes....indeed he does. 😁, well, ok, maybe just a street named after him. That'll do.
  7. Quoting this to share again. The generalized comment by @DanteEstonia is exactly the kind of nonsense we will avoid here. It served no purpose in the conversation whatsoever. The guidelines were clear, as were the consequences. As far as Gonzo's comment, my first thought was that the pictures in the story showed other kids on the bus, and the fact that one other kid took the picture. I did not take his comment to mean that others did the black face thing. From hearing from others, I also do not believe that he implied the coaches or adults on the bus knew of it happening or allowed it. Every program has its share of knuckleheads. The hope for each of us is that our knuckleheads don't do something that ends up on social media. @Grover thank you for sharing the posts about the young men in the program. I have no doubt that Coach Moore and his staff do things the right way, and that this will be no exception in how they handle this teachable moment. What does get lost in the story is the response by Popeye Williams; a very classy response to a difficult thing to see. The stories about the CG players reaching out to him as well deserves to be mentioned as well; props to those young men.
  8. I will be curious to see how people approach this going forward. Will there be some type of performance clause attached to contracts? I think of him and Rattler, who also had a deal, but hardly played this season.
  9. The pressure of being a coach in the SEC may be weighing heavy on Kirby this evening. While we know that Kelly really did not have any significant wins, or at least won a game they were not favored in.....has Kirby? I don't follow Georgia, but nothing comes to mind. Does his seat get warm if they lose tomorrow? Or lose it the playoff if they stay in the top 4? I am guessing Saban knows the pressure is on Kirby tomorrow.
  10. It's unfortunate....life goes so fast and he passed up his senior year to be there.
  11. It's like the gift that keeps on giving
  12. McAfee is always good for some comic relief, and this is no exception...careful though the language may not be suitable for work
  13. More than likely though, coaches are paid out of the revenue the sport generates for a given school....in fact, that revenue also pays for a lot of other programs and coaches that really do not generate much revenue at all. I am willing to bet when you look at what the LSU program earned in revenue is far more than the coaches salaries.
  14. @Coach Nowlinhitting it out of the park with this one. 🤣
  15. I was going to post that too...lol Reminded me of HRC doing that in multiple places. He must be from South Boston
  16. I agree, but would add, it does not seem that the school wants to even take a chance on some borderline kids; or maybe we don't hear about the kids who become or are academically ineligible. It seems it has been a LONG time since they had a player like Tony Rice who had to get his grades up to be eligible. I think history shows, that was a risk well worth taking. Granted all risks will not succeed like he did.
  17. Hamilton Heights has a Business teaching position open immediately and looking for an Offensive Coordinator for the 22-23 football season. Contact Head Coach Jon Kirschner at jkirschner@hhschuskies.org
  18. Agree 10000%. On the surface LSU looks like a better job to a LOT of people, but the pressure to win, especially with his contract is higher at LSU than it is for him at ND. He could have continued at ND for several more years at the same rate he has been, and would have been fine. It’s not that the fans loved and adored him. It’s that they reached a level of competitiveness that had been missing. And most know too, as it has been stated, the recruiting limitations are a point to fall back to in seasons like the last few, when it has been clear they are not in the top tier of programs. They ARE on the next tier though. He might get 3 years at LSU before alumni get restless. And there are a LOT of coaches who are perfectly happy where they are and have been…..guys like Ferentz, Harbaugh now, Chryst, Swinney, Gundy, and several others. They are not really interested in the next big program. They have great support, and they compete well. Their kids graduate, and they run clean programs….as far as we know any way. 😁
  19. I saw a video on twitter of Rees telling the team he is staying.
  20. Posting here since he is no longer at ND; but Kelly has a pretty sweet deal. My guess is that his previous deal did not have quite as many perks. New #LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly has very interesting clauses in his deal. If he wins a title, firing him would cause an automatic payout of 100% of his remaining salary (LSU has fired Les Miles and Ed Orgeron after winning titles). He gets 90% of it the remaining balance if he’s fired without cause. His base salary is 10 years/$95M BONUSES INCLUDE: $75K for the SEC Championship Game OR $150K for winning it $500K “Longevity bonus” annually $500K for being bowl eligible + $100K for a NY6 Bowl appearance OR $200K for a Playoff appearance OR $300K for a National Title appearance OR $500K for winning it all $50K for SEC Coach of the year + $75K for National Coach of the Year Additional academic achievement bonuses of $25K each He owes $2M to LSU if he leaves voluntarily Kelly also receives: -Two courtesy vehicles and two vehicle allowances of $1,000 a month -Interest free home loan of 20% of the home price up to $1.2M -50 hours per year of private jet time on LSU’s jets
  21. Sagarin=games played…..got it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  22. Accessories for that Devils' look include:
  23. Made me think of this....I know it's not football, but I KNOW you will appreciate this: The Devils are taking a beating on social media with it too; and it is internets gold.
  24. I have not seen this quoted by the committee, but Acho says what I briefly mentioned, about Kelly's departure impacting their CFP ranking.
