  1. I think I saw an IU player get drafted, not sure if he played high school ball in Indiana though.
  2. Any adjustment will affect another sport. Maybe football starting in January?? Doesn't really get that cold here in winters anymore.
  3. I'm hearing "strong" rumors that school will start with remote learning in August. Maybe play the football season in spring?? China really messed up the whole world with this one.
  4. Thought Kevin coached at North Central?
  5. As I think we are seeing, most of the general public is ready to get back out there. All jobs are essential to that person and/or family. The protests are starting to gain traction and the states will need to start opening up soon. The U.S. government can't keep writing checks and printing money, it will be devalued further, need to get economy going again.
  6. Maybe not a bad idea. Question, can I still wear a mask and dark sunglasses when I go banking??
  7. The numbers reported as deaths due to COVID-19 are not all documented as that specific virus being the cause. Numbers are inflated.
  8. I've heard talk that the college football season could be canceled or pushed back to start in February. If either of those happen, I would assume the high school football season will be cancelled. Hope that is not the case, though I think this thing is getting overblown, the season may be in jeopardy. I'm also hearing talk that new school year my start at home.
  9. There is too may "ifs" every time you wake up in the morning, go for a drive, go to store, etc. Need to adept the best we can and move forward. Can't live your life in a case of "what if's".
  10. I feel a lot of people have already been exposed and have "fought" off the virus. I know these replies are all opinions and you know what they say about those. I respect your position, just don't think it is realistic to have to wait for vaccine to open schools and other places or businesses that require gatherings. I guess we will see. JMO 😀
  11. From my understanding, a vaccine won't be available till the end of this year at the earliest or early 2021. I doubt our society will be able to handle shelter on place/home restrictions for another 8-10 months. Vaccines have been available for decades but people still get that illness. So, I assuming you feel these restrictions need to go on at least till end of the year? That will be hard on schools and other business and may cause a "societal collapse. At some point this needs to be managed. By that, I mean slowly open up and lift restrictions, monitor and adjust as needed.
  12. I feel this shelter in place/home needs to stay on until end of May. Opening back up to soon will have same result here as what Japan is seeing. Another 5-6 weeks can be tolerated as opposed to getting back to soon and having a major set back and having to do this again for another 2-3 months.
  13. Out of curiosity, are there different pad styles for different player positions? I would assume a QB would not wear the same shoulder pads as a O or D lineman??
  14. That's is really interesting that they would re-open schools after all the "belly aching" Cuomo was doing about how poorly the Federal Gov't (insert Trump if you like ) was handling/supporting them on this.
  15. So, when do you (anyone) think the latest date would be for teams to start practice and still be able to get season in. The way I see it, limited opening up looks to be by end of May/early June. if not until mid or end of June, is that still enough time?
  16. In some cases, not sure what the percent is, but the "star" rating will adjust after/during senior season. He may be a 3 star when all is said and done. These ratings are mostly useless, seen many 4-5 stars flame out and many 2-3 stars excel.
  17. One wild card in this is I think this has been here in U.S. since November/December and we really didn't know it. The statistics really lag behind the reality of this outbreak IMO. I bet a lot of people have already built an "immunity" to this virus from undetected/unknown exposure. JMO
  18. IMO, as soon as the daily death rate in U.S flattens (guessing mid May) and then starts to decline (early June) I think we have 4-6 weeks of this and then it will start getting better.I can see things starting to try to get back to the new normal in 8-10 weeks, putting us towards the end of June.
  19. Well, I'm just saying no difference. I hope he does go to IU, ND can get other players when and where needed, I like IU getting these high end in state kids.
  20. Well if he lives in Valpo, I don't think SB will be any colder ???
  21. Per 247 sports, ND is not listed as interest or has an offer. I'm assuming you think if they go after he will change mind??
  22. Isn't the end goal of a game is to score more points than your opponent??
