Bloomington North 42 Terre Haute North 6 (0:20, 2nd) I know I didn't screw this one up and the Patriots actually got their first points in three games which was set up by a long run. They went for two and got sacked, which will set up the running clock for the 2nd half.

Bloomington North 42 Terre Haute North 0 (2:36, 2nd) I screwed up on reporting this game earlier. TH North did not score earlier and it was B-North that scored on the long run. I was flipping between two games and heard it wrong. The Patriots are still looking for their first points in three games. The Cougars just extended their lead after the Patriots punted from their end zone and gave the Cougars a short field.

For Mule Driver. It looks like there won't be any streaming/radio coverage of the South @ TH South game. Indiana Sports Network - Terre Haute has their game of week being Owen Valley at Northview. Locally, WGCL is covering the TH North @ North game and the South Putnam @ Edgewood game is getting double coverage by WHCC and WCLS with both stations staying in town like WGCL. Maybe, just maybe, WVNI will make the trip back to Terre Haute to cover the Panthers' game, which they did for the South @ TH North game. WVNI still has their schedule for last season up and there is no help from the FB and X sites, but it wouldn't surprise me if they stay in town to cover the North game which promises not to be very close in what is probably an understatement. With WVNI, we probably won't know where they are going to be at until near kickoff of their game. The South football site still lists the streaming/radio coverage as TBA, and it's Thursday. -

Absolutely. There were many high snaps, especially in the 2nd half, and needless to say, when your QB has to go up to grab a snap, that slows down the play which allows the defense to read/react to plays. They stuck with the kid for the entire game, so I guess they didn't have a better alternative at that moment and time. There were zero issues with the snaps in the first three games, and I have to feel that the kid was pressed into that position right at the last time and like I said, it was like he was on on-the-job training from my observation of it. He did have quite a few good snaps, but it only takes a few of those to affect a game, which it did. btw, WHCC 105.1 covers South/North games also and that is an alternative if Joe Smith gets hard to listen to since he has lost a step or two as a play-by-play guy. WHCC is the flagship station for the IU radio network so they didn't cover the game last Friday because of IU playing that night also. I don't know if WVNI covered the game since they still have their old schedule up on their website, but they are covering games this season. -

I haven't seen the Bull Dogs play in recent seasons except for when they played South, but it seems that they have run hot and cold in games in recent seasons, and you never know which team will show up. I don't know whether they have a young or a veteran team this year. Their new coach Logan Haston (in his 2nd season at the helm) is 7-8 with the team so far. I'm certainly not qualified to comment on their program there since all I do is see the results of the games, but the program seems to have regressed from their previous strong seasons. Are the Bull Dog faithful having buyers regret over bringing in Haston or are they still patient with him and he is still on the honeymoon there so to speak? -

My picks for Week 5: Bloomington South @ Terre Haute South - The Panthers will have a bad taste in their mouth going into this game, but how that game went down against North kind of tempers my expectations going back to Terre Haute. The Panthers will certainly be working on snapping the ball to the QB this week which was a big factor in their overtime loss to the Cougars. The Braves got a taste of victory by beating their crosstown rival in a shutout win after flirting with a win the previous couple of weeks. I think this game will be competitive, but I'm sticking with my Panthers by 10 points. Terre Haute North @ Bloomington North - When Bloom. South wasn't shooting themselves in the foot, the Cougars played pretty good defense against the Panthers for the most part. The Patriots have not scored in two straight games, and this could be another game with a big goose egg. Bloomington North by at least five TDs. Indianapolis Chatard @ Columbus North - I thought the Bull Dogs would give Roncalli a better game than they did and they lost by four TDs, and the Bull Dogs had just 62 yards passing with two picks and 89 yards on the ground for the game. About the only advantage I see them having in this game is having home field advantage. Chatard is 3A No. 1 in both the coaches and AP poll and they have already beaten Roncalli. Chatard by 3 or 4 TDs. Southport @ Beech Grove - Southport lost big at home to a not very good Pike team. They face another not very good Beech Grove team which is 1-3 at this point. With the Cardinals not being competitive against a bad Pike team, I sure can't see them winning this game on the road. Beech Grove by 3-4 TDs. -
