  1. Against LCC a couple of weeks ago, he put up over 220 on 25 carries and a pair of TDs, 10 tackles, and a pair of picks.
  2. Even that's going to be tough. West Lafayette averaged just under seven TDs a game, with almost 3 TDs a game passing and with a total of six INTs for the whole season. Chatard held them to a 61 yards passing, a field goal, and had five picks.
  3. @Rodneywas born with his tongue permanently attached in his cheek. Between games, take a look at a couple of his more famous/infamous postings. A couple of good ones to start with:
  4. Looked bad in real time and looked even worse in slow-mo ... I'm surprised that kid got up as quickly as he did. Note to MD coach: Even if you excited, don't hit your player on the head after he's taken a shot like that.
  5. I only hit my head lightly. I have to go with the Sectional of Death survivor in that 3A game.
  6. Pioneer and LCC. The years that Adams Central could have been SF'd they ran into two teams that got SF'd. In the last six seasons, AC's season has been upended by a team that visited LOS ... and three of those times it was Pioneer/LCC and both of those teams bumped up to 2A. Lutheran;s likely to be the third.
  7. Going to make one change in this one and take Mater Dei over Andrean. It's the only way to come from behind. 4 Point Games New Prairie vs East Central Valparaiso vs Whiteland 5 Point Games Carroll vs Center Grove Adams Central vs Lutheran 6 Point Games Chatard vs Lawrenceburg Andrean vs Mater Dei *5 Point bonus if you pick ever game right

  9. Grew up in Texas and was an officer in FFA. My fellow Future Farmers barely tolerated my album-rock tendencies, but parachute pants would have killed my barnyard creds.
  10. Holy Paid Tuition Batman! What's interesting is that some of these don't play football, but they are decent size for their class. For example, Faith Christian, FW Blackhawk, and Christian Academy are all larger than both Indy Lutheran and Traders Point ... matter of fact, Blackhawk is almost twice as large as TPC.
  11. I think what @Bobref's getting at ... and by the way, he really does need to get that "Law of Unintended Consequences" copyrighted as it plays out so much in Indiana football and someone is bound to steal it and make a t-shirt with it ... is there's plenty of stuff that tends to be done that seemingly fixes a problem and/or, probably more importantly sometimes, "sticks it to someone" only to see another bigger or similar issue pop up.
  12. Well you guys are going to have to get SF'd ... or just F'd as some might refer to it ... so you can get up on that 4A Sectional of Death action.
  13. Oddly "strange" how that looks like Sectional 28 ... with Roncalli in the role of Guerin.
  14. The impetus for the start of the youth program was the 1983 season ... 0-10. I don't know if it started directly in '84 or '85. As I piece the info together, I believe that dads from LCC, West Lafayette, and I think McCutcheon and one other school formed the dads' league and started the youth program. It was well established by the time I arrived here in the area.
  15. They did pick up a state title in 1999 and then promptly turned around and had a pair of back-to-back 5-5 seasons. I think what folks don't realize is that, prior to LCC starting their youth program, LCC overall win percentage was a bit under 54%. In the time that the first group of youth players were seniors to this year, that percentage is a bit over 71%.
  16. LCC was 91-133 over that time. 7 winning seasons, 14 losing seasons, and one tied season ... one sectional title in 1989.
  17. Don't recall the amount, but I think I paid cash earlier in the season at LOS parking for the Harrison-West Lafayette game.
  18. Yeah ... the previous time it happened with public schools in 1A was ... wait for it ... the four seasons right before LCC had their four-year run. Sheridan went to LOS for four consecutive seasons, going 3-1, from 2005-2008. LCC's run was 2009-2012. Interestingly, Sheridan bookended their run by ending LCC's season in 2005 and 2008.
  19. Ahhh ... the days when a trip to a record store actually meant something ... and the fact that they also sold concert tickets made it even more special!
  20. Yes, it was something called the Texxas Jam aka the Texas World Music Festival. Pretty cool shows and well worth the money. Went one year when Ted Nugent, Triumph, and Sammy Hagar were there and, during Hagar's set, Emmett from Triumph and Nugent came back out on stage and played Zep's Rock and Roll. I only attended when the shows were in Houston as they held them in the Astrodome which made all the difference in the world vs. the Dallas shows which tended to be outdoors in the Cotton Bowl in the summer in Texas. I recall ticket prices being much less in the late-70s when I started attending concerts. I think Boston was around $10 on the Don't Look Back Tour in 78/79.
  21. Paid $17 in 1981 to see REO and Heart along with Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult.
