  1. https://vucommodores.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball Lost 19 in row Valpo's own Byrce Drew, not a good start, granted some top caliber players getting hurt hasn't helped.
  2. I just cannot fathom, even if Money is more, Coach Painter leaving to UCLA. Its a different breed out there and not sure those folks would appreciate his honestly in recruiting and playing time. IE: He does it his way and not the shoe companies way!!! I wish I had some extra cash, Friday Night: Tickets were like 50 bucks, or 100 for right behind the basket 4 rows . Scary 1st game for Boilers: Penn St is as HOT as anyone right now with talent and Minnesota has been a matchup nightmare for Boilers this year, lost in the Barn and also if you remember, was down 14 in 2nd half in Mackey as well
  3. my good friend @CoachDurham was a great pal and brought me BACK a round of wings !! They were delicious no doubt, definitely in my top 5, probably top 3 if I was at the place to eat them as well, but there have been some dandies in my belly over the years
  4. Region 4 does that as well last few years as Coach Stewart just outlined it. The biggest frustration being part of the process myself as well in 2015 was having guys no show or back out last minute. Sometimes injuries happen from selection to game week and we all get that, but if the player says he is going to play then just says NAH, its just bad form and a deserving kid then has to scramble to try to make it. One our better LB's was from Lowell and we got him down there Monday Night and first practice was Tuesday, he ended up tearing his ACL in the game, just brutal, great kid, went onto to ST JOE and played there after he healed up. IFCA wants kids who are of great charchter and will represent themselves in a way that will make their family, school proud. Each North and South must have 5 1a kids and 5 2a kids.
  5. yes they were which makes WL run last year even more impressive: Home win vs Andrean, Home Win vs Brebuef, Road win in an interesting field conditions at Luers and beating VERY good Memorial team for State.
  6. it was a baller move by Lynch and SF Respect that .
  7. Rensselaer has sent 5 I have to go back through: Document says 11!!! I recounted on my fingers: Forgot a couple, but 11, I must not know of any in the 60-70s.
  8. that game in the Barn, went exactly how I thought it would go. Bummed, but getting a share works as well!!
  9. Good stuff Muda Happy to see Kyle Long restructure his contract: I get a feeling that he will be retiring after that contract is up. Guy has put his body through the ringer. Much Respect
  10. Oh that would be fun, KV to Marion or Mississinawa Yes please!!! because I am not paying bus fees !! Probably only about a 30-45 min difference then what they have been typically sent, KV that is, over to South Bend, but more easy road travel there then to Gas City or Marion love this time of year !! Cheers friends
  11. hey the state put TIPTON in the SOUTH the last 2 years, TIpton is farther north than TRI WEST
  12. I know of one up my way that has been very good and led by retired teachers/coaches who own the business.
  13. I think it's a unique situation that was created with Elkhart consolidation, which created such a large new school that they couldn't leave in 4a or 5a. I do not see this as a norm going forward as it was just an odd year. On top of that how would SF work in just 1 year cycles? Just my two cents yea what he said below
  14. I was shocked to see North Newton only 14 kids away from 1a Andrean also 20 away from 1a Luers found themselves back in 2a River Forest: HUGE JUMP, to 3a
  15. looks like by MAP, Bombers go back to Central time zone Home up in NWI.
  16. http://www.ihsaa.org/Portals/0/ihsaa/documents/quick resources/Enrollments & Classifications/football schools 19-20.pdf
  17. anyone: I believe NN students have utilized it. I believe still under $400 for program as well
  18. See attached: More info in the Coaches Forum 2019 Region Clinic Speakers.pdf Region IV Clinic STD.pdf
  19. How places still offer on site classrooms? I know at Rensselaer, Coach Meeks has continued the traditional Drivers Ed course as it was made for in the 80s. Full on classroom, videos, discussions, but what I think really is good is he brings in County/City/State police who come with the pictures of what fatalities look like, not from a movie, or cheesy video, actual photos from crash scenes and stories of HOW and WHY it happened. It is powerful stuff. He runs a session in Winter and Summer. How many families choose to have their son/daughters take it online?
  20. I would suspect the same thing, when I saw the minutes of the executive session last week and not any mention, figured it would be next month. IFCA Board of Directors Spring Meeting next Friday, probably have some insight there
