  1. They were very close 2 years ago, yes, but I would suspect they will be closer to the 3a line after this year and as @DT stated the new school they will be building will be now pulling more kids IMO from northern Jasper/Newton counties along with Lake and West Porter county. Boone Grove has been a benefactor recently of Lake of 4 Seasons and Winfield sections of CP as many of those families rather send their kids to Boone Grove than driving 20-25 mins from that area to Crown Point HS. 500 some kids vs 2800 some kids. I do not blame those families at all and if I lived closer to Winfield I would think about it myself for my daughter, however, we are VERY happy to be in CP school district for obvious reasons. Eli Carden of KV will only be in his 2nd year starting. Wade Williams still was playing QB when Carden was Sophomore all the way up until I think the playoff game of Carden SOPH year
  2. You do not: Rensselaer, HC Chris Meeks, presented to our Region 4 an application 2 years ago for Steve Brandenburg, it goes through a process from each individual region and onto final step.
  3. the OT from Mt Carmel was there last year but hurt his shoulder in summer session and was out for the entire year, but he has been at Andrean now going on 2nd year I see a theme there of 3 of the 4 teams receiving "transfers" I stopped caring about where kids are going to school long ago. Look forward to the challenge of attempting to knock off the 59ers, last year was quite the track meet
  4. Bellmont has added an Assistant Coach posting on DOE that I added to IFCA board
  5. I think I saw yesterday that the big OL from Ft Wayne got offered by Arizona State yesterday, he will have lots to choose from
  6. FYI: @DK_Barons will be starting the process in next few weeks of getting ready for the upcoming 2020 GID "fiscal" year!! Thanks for our loyal Community Members throughout the last year and many years before CHEERS
  7. Head Varsity Coach, Oversees the entire football program, 2A school, 5-5 record last year and only graduated four seniors (that includes 1 senior that had a season-ending injury on the first play of the scrimmage), teaching positions available: HS PE/Health, MS History, HS English. If we choose to hire within there will be an Assistant Coach position available. Interested applicants can send me, Andy Brunner, Athletic Director, and e-mail at andy.brunner@tellcity.k12.in.us
  8. If they can protect the QB then you should see some serious offensive output as defenses are going to have to deal with either Bell or Moore 1 on 1 or if you quarter one side of the field and man up the other, then you are going to have 1 on 1 with some other dudes who can flat out play as well as Gipper mentioned Gotta protect the QB!! #1 on my concern list for Boilermakers in 2020, followed by LB play as #2.
  9. And DJ Johnson coming back to Indiana, should be granted the NCAA waiver and have 3 years left, played at North Central under Coach Oshea
  10. Makes sense with the timing of flipping QB to Purdue from Minnesota. Was hoping for McCulley in WL good looking player.
  11. Nice Flip for Purdue: Not sure if he sticks at QB, but sounds like they will give him every opportunity I wonder if that means McCulley is known to be announcing somewhere soon that is not Purdue. Either way, always nice to flip a 4 star from another B10 Team https://www.si.com/college/purdue/recruiting/naperville-qb-sam-jackson-commits-purdue
  12. Not that I am aware of Moving into administration
  13. Benton Central will have a new head coach this upcoming year

  15. still another clarification meeting schedule for Thursday, I want to wait to see what comes of that
  16. great news today with some more guidelines set forth from IHSAA to IFCA July 6th !! Smart progressive approach
  17. I would attend it is a sad day for IOWA, not sure why the entire big 10 gets lumped into 1 school transgressions
  18. They do at our school, because its an IHSAA contracted event, if any of our student athletes are serving any sort of academic or otherwise suspension the scrimmage is Game 1 of suspension. Athletic code violation of 25% at RCHS, kid sits until 2nd half of week 2 game, has been that way for years. Academic suspensions is 10 school days, so just depends on when we start school, but typically means they miss Scrimmage as well about 2 years ago I was at IFCA board meeting and we spent a quite a bit of time talking Scrimmage vs Jamboree and it was well stated in that meeting by executive board that the Scrimmage is indeed a iHSAA contracted event so teams should be making sure they are wearing jersey's with visible numbers etc etc etc
