  1. Bring me Joe Brady
  2. Strategy was for the RB on his own to do what he did, his boss, the Head Coach, chose to finish the game the way he chose to do so. I fully understand having negative reaction to Coach Day's choice, all I am doing is interjecting some opin purpose of doing so from the high stakes / high income world of the B10+/NCAA football is and will continue to become, the true minor system for the NFL with a sprinkle in online class or 3. Actually, the not EXACT scenario, you are correct, however, THIS IS pretty DARN close and this happened in the Calendar year of 2024, recently fired HC Allen ended up apologizing, and threw the entire team under the bus, since they did it on their own, but it did happen. I have no qualms with you fellas and having this feeling. Just providing another viewpoint on a message board to discuss. Without Bias mind you 🙂 Coaching lens viewpoint if you will.
  3. Nope, that's the analogy used throughout the nation wide experience that is known as what IU football in this Ohio State game became an actual National story for the first time in the history of that game being played and that's the credit to Indiana football this year and coach Cig They wanted attention like a puppy would want attention That is the national perspective of this game that was played. It has nothing to do with a Purdue bias If I had this bias, why would I be sitting here throughout the entire football season in his thread speaking highly of the product that's been put on the field if I held this meatball bias as you're choosing to portray me as And you're right as a high school football coach, I would not have done that As a head coach of a power 5 National contender maybe I would consider it different because it's a different ballgame in that world. Don't know won't be in that position I have spoken very highly of your beloved Hoosiers all year long and especially the head coach. Yet in this scenario you claim I am just becoming up. Purdue hater essentially which is just odd to me With that being said, like I said perhaps whether you like it or not. Coach day was sending a message that coach sig. You have a ways to go to catch him, whether you think it's right, wrong or in different and the high stakes game of professional football. I mean college football that's what's being done these days. So like I said before, welcome to the big time you guys made it. Now, let's keep it going and I hope the team that I support will eventually figure it out and join those ranks too. It's really a simple as that
  4. Oh I could definitely sign up for this
  5. More than fair to have that sentiment @Komets2727 Welcome to big time college football. This scenario is not something that just randomly happened to IU. Should Sean Payton face the same criticism by you IU folk upset at Coach Day? https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/sean-payton-on-panthers-saying-broncos-tried-to-run-up-score-its-the-nfl-play-better don't give me the its PROFESSIONAL sports..... open your eyes......College is not college anymore
  6. Yes, the IFCA HOF committee has the overall Board who gives the green light of all prospective applicants. For instance, Coach Chris Meeks went into the IFCA HOF 2 years ago. I filled out the application through Region 4, then the Region 4 HOF committee reviewed it with other applicants, his application made it pass the Region 4 committee and went to the Big Board of which they also gave it the go ahead. From there, the process of induction gets turned back over to the individual involved. In Region 4, we are fortunate to partner with the National Football Foundation Joe Tiller Chapter and many choose to go in during the honors brunch held in June every year. The last 3 Rensselaer Guys who got the nod, Coach Chris Meeks, player Danny Brandenburg, did that through Purdue, Danny's father Steve Brandenburg chose to get inducted halftime of a RCHS game 6 or 7 years ago.
  7. Assume to much my friend These are all things I consumed all week long from local to national media going into the game. I didn't say IU was that far off, I have CONSISTENTLY been supporting Coach Cig and IU season and turnaround. The Yappy Yorky has ZERO to do with my alma mater, again, for now the 3rd time, it was all over the weekly lead up across the college football landscape, the sentiment, Big Dog (OSU) vs Little Dog (IU). It's not that hard to see this all week long. Why do you keep bringing up Purdue to try to some how get my goat ( shout out to Momma Nowlin) it has ZERO to do with me or my MULTIPLE positive comments I have made all year long about IU and Coach Cig. Try something else my friend. So is Sean Payton wrong for what he did against Carolina ? Again , you are PAID ATHLETES and VERY highly PAID coaches. it's your job to stop them. This is not youth football, this is PAID athletes playing the game of football at what they are still calling College football. IU could have stopped them but they didn't . Wouldn't that have sent a strong message??
  8. Bottom line; Everyone EXCEPT IU fanbase (which is cool with their enthusiasm, and I dig it) thought that OSU was going to cover that 10.5 and control the game. OSU did just that, exposed IU weak Punt team and capitalized big time and won the game 38-15. I believe there was an intentional message sent, but IU was pulling the we are still being disrespected card all week long. When you talk, then you don't walk, be prepared for a touchdown to be punched in or other verbal jabs coming from OSU staff. It's what Big Time Semi Pro ( I mean college football) has become, it's been this way in the SEC for years.
  9. I think it was a little bit unprofessional of the Telecast openly suggesting PURDUE best players ie: KLARE look to the portal..... yikes
  10. Just don't get him HURT
  11. Zero Boilermaker in my statement, nice attempt however my friend Then I guess GET BETTER OR GET USED TO IT right?? These are PAID athletes and HIGHLY PAID coaches. Isn't it IU job to stop them? That is what playing with the big boys of college football is. Perhaps, Coach Day was sending a message to what he is perceiving as the yapping Yorky dog, and telling IU that they are not on their level, try again. Call it classless, your perspective Maybe,, just maybe, the coaches of the B10 may also have thought that Coach Cig comments were not earned yet, so Coach Day said to himself, I am going to remind this guy and his program he has a ways to go to catch this Lambo...... It's competitive, VERY HIGHLY competitive college football (semi pro) game played by MEN.
  12. decent fight against a below average team ....... blah
  13. So playing devil's advocate here: No problem of the Bravado shown by Coach CIG ( I am a fan as seen here) from the time he was hired all the way thru now, but if Ryan Day, says because we are OHIO STATE for the reason on scoring he is the bad guy here? There is NO DIFFERENCE in the 2 confident coaches from this game, unless you allow your bias to be the forefront of your comments about it. You may not like the individual personalities of Coach Day, but his comment is no different than "Google Me, I win " or the many other Coach Cig one liners and sound bites, the difference was the scoreboard was not on side of IU. And again, PLEASE give me ND vs IU round 1 !!!!
  14. Very happy for my friend Coach Stewart, we've had some great battles when he was at Western and very impressive in year 1 taking the Knights down to state !!!
  15. https://ifca-hof.org/hall-of-fame/nomination-guidelines/ @PHJIrish Process there: Best practice is go thru Cathedral Football, maybe Coach Peebles, who may still have connections to Coach Streif
  16. All starts and ends in Weight Room Culture
  17. Congrats to my friend Coach Lambert. Enjoy the week, Soak it all in, goes fast
  18. Especially since Andrean is not SENIOR dominated team this year. Wisconsin OL commit only a JR, list goes on and on on the others, very talented team.
  19. Andrean Grass Snow is gone Adams Central should love the conditions Andrean worked on getting the field ready yesterday and not letting snow sit on it, that should help overall conditions
  20. Only 1 I don't agree with is I think South Putt gets it done, I maybe bias however, as I like their HC a lot. 🙂 Garrett beat us in 2003 Regional under Andy Thomas Luers...well.. yeah.... So Go Garrett 🙂
  21. nor should they Personnel maters whether in school settings or corporate settings are not for public consumption
  22. North Harrison added to IFCA
  23. Been sitting on this one. Official now
