    Most all re-alignments involve travel headaches. Having Elkhart and Valpo or conversely Penn and Homestead play on a yearly basis won’t solve everything, improvement comes from within.

    I agree with your assessment. It has always seemed that Jeff was a basketball first school. I believe they and McCutcheon (not Harrison this time) are leading the NCC in hoops.

    Good point. We saw what happened when Tippecanoe County tried to rub elbows with the Hoosier Crossroads Conference and I do think Kokomo, Lebanon, and Logansport have more in common with Lafayette than Fishers and Westfield do.

    Perhaps, but with WL making the jump to 4A, they will need tougher regular season competition. I believe they were beaten by Guerin the first round back in November.

    Not necessarily. Most Hoosier Conference schools are 2 and 3A. WLHS needs to find tougher competition or they’ll always get bounced in the first round of the Sectional.

    Spot on. It’s an old boy’s network, I just wonder if and when simple economics will win out.

    I feel that way also, and so should Kokomo and Logansport. The NCC covers too much real estate.

    As I have said earlier, an East-West split is the most logical: 3 Tippecanoe County schools plus Kokomo and Logansport make out the west while Anderson, Marion, Muncie Central, Richmond, and Tech comprising the east. Expansion will be needed. Lebanon, Western, and West Lafayette to the west, and I guess the eastern division can poach whomever they want: maybe Yorktown, Delta, and Jay County.

    The Whiting-Frontier is a real head scratcher as Brookston and Chalmers is so tied to the Lafayette area. I do remember South Newton playing against Whiting in the early 1980s, though.

    The rivalry is very intense and do not see it as a 6A-4A tilt.

    Denying Brady another Super Bowl would be next-level awesome, but I’d rather go up against a banged up Brees and Kamara.

    The Rams made it interesting for a few minutes. Both NO and TB have better offenses the the Rams, so GB’s offense will need to be sharper. Should have been us!!!
