  1. Yes, the Lafayette schools need to be with Kokomo and Logansport. I can’t think of any better options.
  2. Could be a tough sell. I think that have schools in the same geographic footprint is a good thing.
  3. Hopefully this is the end, for Leach, BUT, he wins football games...
  4. It’s more than that. Players should not be coached to act like thugs. The UK-NC State game was a disgrace.

Bummer. But shouldn’t have Allen it used that for motivation?
  6. Tom Herman just got canned at Texas. Leach will probably be fired by MSU, or at least he should. Don’t be shocked to see TH coaching the Bulldogs next year. As for Tulsa, I hope they don’t make a run for Mike Neu.
  7. The Tigers are often overlooked, but their enrollment continues to rise, just the West Lafayette. I believe both schools could both me making the jump to 4A.
  8. Thanks for the clarification. I watched the game last night and didn’t think it was targeting. But ESPN’s announcers covered it well which swayed me otherwise. As it turns out, the guilty player, Swalski, has a history of this.
  9. Wouldn’t know the answer to that one.
  10. Good line-up, but name is off as all school are east of US 31. Maybe East Central League of Conference Frankenstein.
  11. I’ve been to many of them, Evanston is great in it’s on right.
  12. I didn’t realize this, but he’s the longest tenured B1G behing Kirk “Problem? There’s no problem here!” Ferentz at Iowa. Nevertheless, he just won the Bobby Dodd Award for best college coach. Will he remain in Evanston or dive into the much murkier waters of the NFL?
  13. All good. Too bad all of the Welsh kids live in places like Austin and Denver so that legacy family will probably come to an end.
  14. As stated earlier, I think athletics in the Lafayette area are on pretty solid ground.
  15. Fighting is never the answer, but given the hard-core nature of the game, it’s almost inevitable. I just hope we never see something like “Malace at the Palace” again.
  16. Elkhart Lions—the Den Angola Hornets—the Hive Lafayette Jeff Bronchos—the Corral (or house Bob Rohrman built) Logansport Berries—the Patch Fort Wayne South Archers—the Range
  17. Got it. I actually liked your Conference Frankenstein handle. Allow to to submit one: the Contraction League...
  18. I think all schools in Tippecanoe County will be just fine. I have never gotten the sense of any jealousy or acrimony as they all seem to come-exist quite peacefully.
  19. Agreed. Winning and losing streaks come and go, but these two leagues should stand the test of time.
  20. We all have our own ideas: he’s just not afraid to voice his. There are many different ways to view this whole dynamic and as other posters have said, he does bring about discussion.
  21. I think maybe Lebanon and possibly Western.
  22. But that’s just it, I don’t know where Jeff can go. They tried the Hoosier Crossroads, which didn’t really work out. That all but keeps them out of the MIC. Duneland? Nope. They’d just be an also-ran, being able to compete with Crown Point and Portage, but get housed by Merrillville and Valpo. Don’t get be started on Conference (Southern) Indiana. For their success, and ultimately Harrison’s and McCutcheon’s, is too stay in the NCC, but it needs to have its roster altered.
