It seems like some programs go through phases where they are not as powerful as they were perceived. In addition it takes the right coach and personality to deal with kids today. Elkhart seems to have hit it in the current one. If he can continue to get he kids to buy in and work hard a traditional power. No ICCL football this year could hurt both Marian and SJ. But how many schools do not have a freshman team this year? South Bend needs to combine/close a high school or 2 like Hammond has done. It is hard to be successful when a team like Clay has 19 kids on varsity. Until they make the tough decisions nothing is going to change inSB

I agree on Lynch when he played early he looked like something special.

Bremen - I like in week one and not sure how Jimtown lost to Glenn after what I witnessed the week before Knox - because of Radtke influence and not sold on Glenn Marian - due to their offense, athletes. After seeing Adams not sure what they were trying to do but it did not work. They may try to drive it down the field to keep the ball away from the Marian O Elkhart - being at home and I like the coach. But they have to play as a team and be disciplined Riley - If they play after the bus ride. Clay/Washington - Can the Clay 19 players stay with the Panthers? Toss up New Prairie/St Joe - NP has lost to 2 parochial schools will this be the 3rd? I am hoping after this game I can get a better take on SJ. This is the 1st of 3 big hurdles in a row

Many times in the past people thought Elk Cent had a chance with Penn and it usually ended up not being a game. Penn will probably be ready to play Elk. I do not see a blow out right now. While Elk. is a favorite I sould see Penn making it a battle especially if they control the ball and clock.

Few thoughts SJ - Adams 2 fairly even teams. I do not get the game plan of 95% if not more of the plans were direct snaps to the QB or RB and they ran. Adams never tried to get Jeffries in the game. Very strange game that had some strange decisions by each school but SJ gutted it out After seeing Glenn last week and they beat Jimtown this week I am scratching my head. I did not see that coming Not surprised by Marian and not sure anyone up north can compete with them until Chatard Rest of the game went as I expected

I know 3 grade school children who have it who have not given it to their Mother. The kids are running high fevers. You are talking about something that is hard to put a handle on because we do not know. People have gotten it and not sure how. I see what too many people with families under 40 in stores without a mask and with many A-symptomatic you never know. There is a lot of trash talking in piles and who is to say droplets do not fly when that is happening. Be grateful we have gotten into week 4 and hoping for many more. But one never knows what happen in a week or so.

Adams is 3-0 but weak competition. Last year SJ beat Adams bad. An interesting neighborhood battle. We will find out about these 2 teams this week. I have no idea who thought John Glenn's defense was the "real deal" after playing Boone Grove and Riley, but what I saw Fri night was not a real deal. Awful tackling and no speed meant many big plays Next 4 weeks we will see if SJ has turned the corner or play a team not very good like the end of last year

I have read this may be one of the better teams in quite some time. Be a good game to watch and see

I work in health care - not direct though but have worked and worn a mass daily. All you have to do is follow the guidelines. Wear a mask in public. Do not cough or sneeze where particles go into the air/cover it. Wash your hands and sanitize. But too many do not feel they need to do this. And will people who have symptoms report them?

So, Notre Dame has rented apartments and hotel rooms to keep the quarantined students in. So today it was reported ND has hired security for every entrance 24 hours a day Why? These kids were going out into the public (bars, stores, friends etc) Consequences: You can be expelled from ND

So, schools play 6 regular season game You can opt out of the state tournament and just play a regular season game until early November Their state tourney will be over before Thanksgiving The governor will be paying people to monitor games and see all virus rules are in force

I think after one week it is hard to determine who will end up where. Besides the schedule and injuries there is another factor. What is a team ends up with positive virus cases and shuts down or loses key members for 2 weeks. There are so many intangible things this year one never knows. But I will say this by 2 weeks after Labor Day we should have a good sense of the virus and where teams are heading
