  1. His masterpiece was very early in his career: Zulu Check it out On Demand.
  2. Absolutely. Manufacturers can’t keep them in stock. Perhaps this would be a good time for a refresher on inadvertent whistle administration? 😆
  3. And that’s a good reason to refuse to comply?
  4. That probably isn’t the worst analogy you’ve come up with ... but it’s got to be in the top 3.
  5. And the death rate of any disease never tells the whole story. It’s like you either die, or recover like it never happened. Not at all true. There are a significant number of lingering, perhaps permanent, effects. Respiratory. neurological, cardiac, renal ... and likely some we don’t know yet, since this is so new.
  6. It’s not always about you.
  7. Are you kidding? We still have far too many chest-thumpers who are not going to let anyone tell them to wear a mask.
  8. Is there any reason to believe things will be different in the weeks to come from what we’ve seen in the last 3 weeks?
  9. A true son of Notre Dame. There are some extra candles burning in The Grotto tonight. 😢
  10. Joey Tanona commits to Notre Dame. So much for the SEC. https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/BREAKING-Four-Star-OL-Joey-Tanona-Commits-to-Notre-Dame-149384172/
  11. So does body armor. But you don’t see people volunteering to get shot.
  12. Could you expound on your conclusion? Say I am the referee. I spend all night with Team A’s QB. Saturday he exhibits symptoms and tests positive. Is it part of the school’s protocol to even notify the officials? What should I do? Am I now obliged to go get tested?
  13. Sad, but true.
  14. As always, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  15. I’ve defended Dr. Fauci against @Howe and others ... but that stops now. This is indefensible.
  16. Of course not. Just saying that anecdotal experiences are not a substitute for conclusions drawn or opinions formed after legitimate scientific study.
  17. While these experiences are interesting, they are only anecdotal evidence. And anecdotal evidence is worse than no evidence at all. When there’s no evidence, people don’t draw any conclusions. But with anecdotal evidence, they often draw the wrong conclusion.
  18. That, of course, leaves open the possibility (or virtual certainty) of inconsistent treatment from county to county, team to team, etc. Going to be interesting.
  19. Question: Kid starts and plays the whole game on Friday night. Saturday he exhibits symptoms and tests positive for the virus. What do you do? What do you do if you’re the opposing team? Describe the quarantine procedure.
  20. They simply could not afford any more bad public relations, given recent history.
  21. Wabash and Depauw have canceled all Fall sports. For the first time in 108 yrs., there will be no Monon Bell game. The slippery slope is getting more and more slippery.
