    We have switch to all Riddell Combine Pads. Low cost pads with rip cord, as a safety feature. Skill players can come with a back plate already attached. Use at 2 different schools, and players love them.

    I know, most people hated that rule.

    Just read in the IHSAA Minutes, that they are thinking about passing a rule that will allow sub varsity games to be shorten in all sports. I guess that means that if both teams agree, your JV and Freshman games could be 1 half instead of 4 quarters. Could help teams that have smaller rosters, or whose opponents do not field sub varsity teams.

    Let’s do like other states and put all of the private schools in their own division. Public schools go back to 5 classes and Private schools go into 2 classes.

    There is now way that Hammond Central will be 3A and Hammond Morton staying in 4A, unless the IHSAA has no common sense.

    So were coaches asked for nominations? I don’t remember the IFCA asking for nominations from coaches.

    1A, 2A, and 4A all have the longest drive from the North, let them travel and play on Saturday. Indy schools don’t have to travel so let them play on Friday.

    I know that their fullback is out, and last week they used #15 at fullback.

    The IHSAA said that 8 man football would be seen as an additional sport, just like unified flag football. They stated this when the IFCA proposed 8 man football back in the summer to the IHSAA.

    Title IX will stop 8 man football in Indiana. In order for the IHSAA to sanction 8 man football in Indiana they would have to sanction another girls sport. The only one that is close is women’s wrestling to being a sanctioned sports.

    I keep telling the IHSAA and other coaches that the watch parties on Sunday with players and coaches is a violation of IHSAA By Laws.
