  11. I can't speak for Carroll. I can't imagine them taking a yellow bus that far.
  12. Thanks for all this content. I might ditch the Carroll/Crown Point game for this one now. Getting the popcorn ready.
  13. That's awesome, kudos.
  14. I don't really feel that way. I just said that because I knew it was your sport. Notre Dame, right? I would have been all in if it were a high school sport back in my day.
  15. None of that will change anytime soon 6A needs to drop to 16 teams. These mega schools are recruiting and theres nowhere for them to bump up. Instead, you have a school of 3500 kids bringing in talent from the outside to compete with that other program that has over 3000 kids. The victims are those smaller schools in the 2000-2400 range that stand NO chance to ever win a state championship. I mean damn, if Cathedral can't do, who in their right mind ever thinks that Columbus North, Zionsville, Harrison, or Portage will? Get better or get used to it? Bull shit.
  16. And that speaks volumes of the Cathedral program. I've suspected everything in your post. All I'm saying is that you can't compare Cathedral to a program like Adams Central, who truly is at the mercy of small community. It's not like the Irish are creating these football players from a random group of 600 boys. That's not even possible. Personally? I think kids should be able to go wherever they want to go to play football, therefore the need for a success factor.
  17. Dwenger, Luers................Snider, New Pal, East Central
  18. So what's Cathedral's secret then? How does this tiny little school of 1152 students compete with these mega 6A giants? Has nothing to do with Cathedral being a magnet school for football players? Or is the coaching staff just THAT good at getting the most of what they have. I mean damn, the teams they put together with an enrollment of 1152, I'm not sure Nick Saban could do that without a bit of help.
  19. I think it was intended as a result of private school dominance. It's been concluded that through socioeconomic factors and open enrollment, that private schools have a major advantage. That being said, there are even some public schools that have been bumped up due to success. And quite frankly, I don't know why any program would want to remain in their enrollment class if they win every year. Sports is about challenging yourselves. Go up and compete with the bigger boys. If you don't win, then go back down.
  20. Lol, I know what LaCrosse is. It' for kids who aren't quite tough enough for football.
  21. I just presumed it was a country club sport. I guess I really don't understand the definition. White collar comes to mind.
  22. I imagine in a community like that you have more parents talking their sons into playing more country club sports. Maybe lacrosse. I could be wrong. But I do know this: An enrollment school of 5200 should be Top 3 in the state every year.
  23. Maconaquah. Close.
  24. I think "bother" is a stretch, more humored than anything else.
