Why on earth would he kick deep when he wasn't supposed to?
-
In your opinion, why did they fall behind 42-14 midway through the 2nd quarter? Much respect for New Pal. Let's resume Friday night around 9:30.

6A Tournament Discussion

I agree, and I have CP beating Carroll by 14. But........did someone say that pass coverage was CP's weakness? Wondering if Iowa commit Jimmy Sullivan can exploit that. -

Homestead falling asleep on the bus in 2019? Or running yardage being more important than passing yardage against HSE? No, I'm not sure which. -
6A Tournament Discussion

Don't forget that Crown Point beat the best team in the HCC last year and some are touting that they are even better this year. I don't think it's out of line to think that CP could get through the HCC with one loss as two other teams have done this year. I think this team is being underestimated.................again. -

Not a good example. The SAC is loaded with 3A-5A teams and Homestead still isn't the team they were a few years back. However, it is interesting that Noblesville running clocked them, yet they were an onside kick away from having a chance to beat HSE. Here comes Temp. -

So if they represent the north for the second year in a row, are you still thinking 6-3 at best? -
Chatard by 13. Feel better? I'm rooting for New Pal, that's who I want to watch play East Noble in the state championship. I'm not concerned with victory laps like you are (see Next Level), if my prediction is wrong it's wrong. It won't be the first time. I'll be the first to congratulate New Pal and say I'm wrong. I'd never discount, arguably, the best pound for pound program in the state of Indiana. Good luck to both.

And I just gave you a good example. They found themselves on the short end of a blowout down 42-14. What happened after that I can't explain. Good coaching? Adjustments? Did Snider get bored? Did New Pal wake up? Or was New Pal simply not ready at the beginning of the game having not seen a team that good all season long? Ask New Pal's coach I guess, I'm just telling you how I saw it. Fact of the matter is, Snider was by far the best team they faced all year and quickly found themselves down four touchdowns. You can call that coincidence if it makes you feel better. Let's continue Friday night, I'll be watching the fight and keeping track of the scores.

You're too much Temp. I'm trying to have a serious conversation with you. You need to stop with your BS.

I've always given Kyle Ralph credit for being, arguably, the best coach in high school football. I say arguable because there are a few other coaches out there that are pretty good as well. I remember those teams from 2018-2019, not so much the 2021 team. Ralph might be the best at getting the most out of what he has. Playing your best guys on both sides of the ball, which is what he's notorious for doing, is they only way they can compete with 6A programs.
-
I think SOS played a part in them finding themselves down 42-14 in the first half. The talent Snider had hit them like a ton of bricks. Once they got their bearings straight, it was game on.
-
As a top team in 4A/5A I would agree with. But they can't keep up with the top ten programs in 6A on a year to year basis. Not with their small enrollment. I agree, I think they are a very good team for sure. I can get on board with 15ish, but for now, that's about as high as I would give them. If they beat Chatard, I'll concede that they are a Top 15 team.
-
It mattered in 2015. Those were great teams, but not the kind of talent a school of 1400 can replace year after year. Those were once in a generation teams.

Noblesville Lions 24 C4 Lions 00

Is that eight man or eleven? I believe a team from Harlan (Fort Wayne) won the home school state title for eight man. -

Good article, it does state Great Lakes Christian Conference. It's just that no one on this forum knows what that is. Google. -

Let's not pretend that Crown Point's schedule is as easy as New Pal's. Stats don't mean anything to me. Crown Point is a 'run you over' type of team. I'm presuming New Pal is a pass happy team like they've been in the past. Do I want Crown Point to win state? Yes I do, anyone from true north. Do I care if New Pal represents the south? Actually, I'd love to see them in the state championship squaring off with hopefully East Noble. Chatard bores me. My only crime is making predictions without seeing either of these teams play. I'm solely going off of scores, historical facts, hearsay, and gut. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

I don't know about "significantly." I meant to put Hamilton Southeastern in front of Carroll (hard to ignore their head to head game). After Hamilton Southeastern, things get iffy, it's hard to say without seeing those teams matchup against one another. Time wiIl tell. Posters think I'm picking on New Pal, bottom line, I just don't like their schedule. If they prove me wrong on Friday, I'll eat crow and bump them accordingly. Right now, I think Chatard is more battle tested. I can't give the same gap you have between Carroll and Snider since I was at the game in person and saw it with my own two eyes. Snider could have easily won that game 24-21 exactly as I predicted. I'm way more impressed with East Noble's victory over Dwenger than you are, and you should probably defer to me on this since this is my region. They look better now than they did at this time last year, and that's saying something. I think fans assumed the Knights would take a step back with the coaching change (including me). How wrong we were.

I keep forgetting that Indiana is "unique", only state in the Union where everyone makes the playoffs. I guess it makes sense then why they broke it off. -
Beat you to it.

If saying New Pal isn't a Top 10 overall team means that I "trashed" them, then so be it. Great 4A program for sure, I'm just not sold that they'd beat Snider or Elkhart. Show me the receipt where I said Chatard was that much better.
