  1. The first one on Snider. Was is celebration or something else?
  2. Agree. I had East Noble beating them in a close game the second time around. I certainly wasn't expecting the Knights to play catchup the for the entirety of the game. I know a good football team when I see one, and East Noble is good. So what's that make Leo? I'll say it again. Very high caliber 5A, mid caliber 6A. I really hope it comes down to Leo and East Central. I might show up for that one.
  3. Agree, you didn't use transitive property in your assessment of Westfield vs Crown Point. I think your comment about Penn getting hammered by Cathedral was flirting with it though. I do respect your opinion on how you think the game will turn out. You've got the Rocks by 14, I'm thinking 7 or 10.
  4. What were your thoughts on the personal fouls? I believe there were about four. There was one on Snider as the players were leaving the field. Was that for celebration? The replay didn't show anything. And if Brandon Logan's baseball career doesn't pan out, I'm thinking he could try for Hollywood. Certainly you saw that one.
  5. Agree, I think there is something to be said for transitive property, but not even close to the end all be all. Sagarin has it's flaws though, you have to admit. How do you explain them ranking Warren Central and East Noble ahead of Snider when the Panthers blew them both out? Maybe Snider's an outlier because of how their program is run when they get a lead?
  6. I'd say throw travel out the window. History shows that Indy teams traveling up north doesn't affect them a fraction of an iota. I also agree with Goldrush1985. Transitive property can go out the window as well. Using that as a gage could result in tragic mistake for Westfield. I'm thinking the Rocks by 10.
  7. I'm intrigued by Crown Point. I'll say it right here right now, I'm expecting them to give Westfield a run for their money.
  8. Sometimes football can be exciting, other times it can be cruel. It was cruel for five of those teams last night.
  9. I don't know enough about the south to make an educated rebuttal, so I'll just roll with your opinion on this one. Point blank, I agree. 6A: Ben Davis or Center Grove? The Westfield/Crown Point winner won't have a shot?
  10. Great post. Two of those games were just a few minutes down the street from one another. Six of those game could have been easily reversed.
  11. Which games was he out for? Looking at their schedule, they're just a few plays away from a seven loss season (five wins by less than a touchdown). Probably an unfair observation as good teams find ways to win in the end. Scores have been pretty lopsided over the last four weeks though.
  12. I never said Snider was outplayed. They absolutely obliterated the Mishawaka run game, they just got burnt badly on some deep pass plays. Snider also did a good job moving the ball down the field, just couldn't score touchdowns. The keys for Mishawaka keeping this game close tonight were their goal line stands and big offensive pass plays. I simply stated they deserved to win the game as much as Snider did. You completely took my comment out of context.
  13. Saw that coming. No one was talking about Merrillville. They're a dangerous team.
  14. Merrillville travels to Snider next week.
  15. As much as Snider wants another crack at Valpo, I think we'd all prefer the home game.
  16. On one hand I want to say Mishawaka deserved the win tonight, but both teams played their hearts out. For Snider, thank God that was the first and only game they'll play on natural turf. That ending makes up for the ending last year against Valpo...........unfortunately at the expense of a well deserving Mishawaka team and their fans.
  17. Again, can't punch it in from the 1 yard line. Kudos to the Mishawaka defense.
  18. Mishawaka 15, Snider 13 with 8 minutes to go. Snider getting some decent drives but no points to show for it. Mishawaka's ground game going nowhere, killing Snider through the air.
  19. Snider 10 - Mishawaka 9, halftime Ground game went nowhere for Mishawaka in the first half, so they're burning Snider through the air.
  20. I got to see Leo a couple weeks ago. They're good, really good. They look like a high caliber 5A, mid caliber 6A football team. Appear to be playing their best all of the season.
  21. It's common anymore. I'm not sure there's a team in the state that travels now as well as they did 20 years ago.
  22. Television and the internet play a part when traveling two hours. Back in the 80's and 90's, Snider would pack the house. Now anything over 50% capacity seems to be considered pretty good. That goes for other programs as well that used to travel well. Penn, Carmel, and Valpo for starters. With Carmel you're lucky to get 1/4 capacity these days. I'm thinking Snider will be in that 1/2 - 3/4 range tonight.
