  1. I've always rooted for Luers to get their first 3A crown. But how do you root against a community who's never been to state and is 0-2 at the semi-state level against Fort Wayne? Gotta give the Railroaders some props though for being the best team Concordia faced in 2016.
  2. Lol, gotcha. Seriously looking forward to Saturday morning.
  3. Not sure of their age, but some coaches go into their 70's.
  4. Carroll reloads at the QB position every year and offense is Dinan's specialty. I think Carroll will still be Carroll. I agree that Snider's offense will be better. They lose some dudes on defense, but the defensive coordinator is pretty darn good. 6A is just an uphill climb for a 5A school. Crown Point has improved every year four years running under Buzea. They'll be tough to beat.
  5. Meh. I think Crown Point has a stronghold on the north. Carroll will be Carroll, and Snider will just struggle to survive 6A with their tiny enrollment. Jeff? Aren't they 5A now?
  6. Help me out with the correlation.
  7. It's the Indy guys who keep bringing up "transitive property." I just like to throw it back at em when warrented. I think it's a little overrated if I'm being honest.
  8. If memory serves me correctly, at one point it was 28-14 in favor of HSE. To me that equates to 'Carroll hanging in there.' There was none of that against Crown Point. That was a man handling plain and simple. But yes, looking at the stat sheet, it's hard to conclude that they weren't dominated against HSE. At the end of the day, Carroll always overrates themselves by their performances against Snider. Dinan was an assistant coach there for 10 years, so he knows the inner workings of their program. Carroll, like Homestead, just can't seem to get it together against anyone outside of Allen County. And if you want 100% honesty? Carroll was outgained by HSE in 2022 by a 2-1 margin. They benefited by playing in a snowstorm. HSE suffered the same fate that night that Snider did. Any team playing in Fort Wayne that night who's sideline was facing the west was basically screwed.
  9. Carroll had a pulse against HSE. Against Crown Point they were just flat out embarrassed. Let's not pretend the final score wasn't deceiving.
  10. Does anyone REALLY think this year's New Pal team measures up to 2018 & 2019? C'mon.
  11. And it was pretty obvious that CG didn't take them lightly, right? I don't think I was too far off the 21.5 mark last year. I'm not sure what I said the last two seasons that qualifies me as an idiot.
  12. Hmmm, did I make those claims in '22 & '23? I don't recall doing that.
  13. I'll provide a list of grief counselors, therapists, and psychologists in the Indy area after Crown Point wins the whole thing.
  14. I personally don't think New Pal or Chatard beats Carroll having seen all teams play. Crown Point manhandled Carroll. Center Grove and HSE beat the Chargers, CP manhandled them. As Sir Charles once said, "I may be wrong, but I doubt it."
  15. No, 6A is a beast, sorry. That shouldn't take much to convince you, I mean, you do believe in transitive property. You know what I'm talking about. Could the Knights be much better now than they were the first couple of weeks? Sure. But damn, 6A is a different monster.
  16. I never said New Pal wasn't a good team. I said they're not one of the best ten teams in the state. I stand by that. I think CP would running clock them. No disrespect. I still think the Dragons might be the best pound for pound program in the state. It's just that........they're 4A.
  17. Chatard/New Pal was a coin toss, someone was going to be right and someone was going to be wrong. Contrats on guessing the flip of the coin. You'll defer to me moving forward after Friday night.
  18. Crown Point is the best team in the state of Indiana. And that includes Lawrence North. Crown Point 24-14. Center Grove is on a roll. They beat Jeffersonville, Franklin Central, and Warren Central. Now they're the greatest thing since sliced bread? Not buying it. Brownsburg 28-17.
  19. To be fair, like a lot of teams, they had a down trend in talent after they bumped up. That's the main flaw in the success factor. A run on talent typically gets you to state, then the lessor skilled kids are stuck playing up.
  20. Agree. Hell, Cathedral will never win 6A. What'st that tell ya? Jeffersonville, Northrop, Portage, Harrison, Columbus North, and Zionsville are nothing more than sparring partners.
  21. Only one to call it, congrats.
  22. Final Center Grove 23, Warren Central 15
  23. East Noble 52, Huntington North 17
  24. New Pal wins in overtime, 28-21
