  1. No, I wasn't aware of it at all. I just thought maybe Lutheran had a down tick this year in talent. Injuries are rough and, like college, depth is a major component when making long runs in the tournament. That's why I always implore the importance of getting second stringers into the game as early as possible. That time on the field is valuable. State titles don't care anything about margin of victory on the way to get there. I was pretty stoked for the Adams County community. Fourth time was a charm. Way too good of a program to not have a recent state title to their credit.
  2. It makes a difference for sure. But at the end of the day, only Adams Central will be remembered. No one remembers Snider's 81' (minus quarterback), 86' (minus quarterback), and 04' (minus running back). So yeah, I get it. I was honestly wondering what happened to Lutheran, so thanks for that bit of information.
  3. If I was trolling I'd have Homestead and Dwenger in my poll. Your poll is all inclusive, you're rewarding good records. My poll is just flat out who the best teams are if they were to square off against one another head to head. There's not 25 teams that would beat Ben Davis head to head. Take the compliment to your beloved Indy teams and call it a day.
  4. I still like CP using the eye test. I agree with @Boilernation, losing big to Westfield doesn't mean they'd lose HSE, Fishers, or even Center Grove for that matter. There was nothing stopping Westfield that night. I'd argue that Westfield wanted that game more than any other game on thier schedule after getting knocked out by Crown Point the year before.
  5. I can't get over Sagarin having North Judson ranked over several 6A teams going into the state finals. I only have two non-6A teams ranked ahead of Heritage Hills, New Pal and Chatard. Having them ranked over some HCC teams speaks volumes of their team this year. The size and speed of the bigger 6A programs is just too hard to overcome for most schools with enrollments under 2200.
  6. I don't think we're too far off: 1. Brownsburg 2. Westfield 3. Lawrence North 4. Center Grove 5. Crown Point 6. Warren Central 7. Fishers 8. Hamilton Southeastern 9. Cathedral 10. Ben Davis 11. New Pal 12. Carroll 13. Snider 14. Decatur Central 15. Pike 16. Chatard 17. Franklin Central 18. Columbus North 19. Heritage Hills 20. Avon 21. Zionsville 22. Noblesville 23. Roncalli 24. East Noble 25. Warsaw 26. East Central 27. Merrillville 28. Concord 29. Mishawaka 30. Elkhart

    Lol, he wasn't?

    IU 2024

    Lol, good grief.
  9. He wasn't far off on the Warsaw game. The Tigers moved the ball at will when they weren't turning it over. What no one saw coming was Warsaw's inability to make tackles. That's what made DC the better team. You're going to be really pissed when you see where I have Crown Point ranked.

    IU 2024

What's eating you this morning? I never said that he "said" anything.
  11. I'll have to take a look at that again. As strong as 6A teams are, they couldn't have been underrated by much. Pissed? Nah, it's all subjective. Hurry up and post your Top 25. I've been waiting to compare mine (already completed) to yours.
  12. 1. You also asked me if I thought East Noble was a Top Ten team and I responded "no." New Pal is very impressive for a team with 4A enrollment. But I've said it all season long and I stand by it.........6A is a different beast. If it makes you happy, nine of the ten teams I have in front of them are from the Indy Metro. 2. You seriously didn't see the sarcasm in that?

    IU 2024

He didn't say anything, but his hand jesture said it all when Day put the ball in the endzone. Very good teams? Those are few and far between this year? That's why I think IU was locked in with a 10 point win over the Boilermakers.
  14. When I hear that, I think of Jacob Runyan. He always said "winners win."
  15. In 1A, the North's quarterback was hurt In 3A, Luers abandoned the run for some reason. In 4A, East Noble got bored after going up 7-0 on one play. In 5A, Warsaw turned the ball over, was it 5 times? In 6A, the north just didn't have very good representation.
  16. No, we cannot agree on that. That would have backfired last year in the 5A title game. In 2A this season, Adams Central dominated the team that beat the Indy school. I watched the New Pal/Chatard game. How that game went to overtime was beyond me. I felt the whole way that the Dragons were the better team. I was rooting for Chatard. I sincerely felt that would be East Noble's easier path to becoming champions. At least the Knights gave New Pal an "oh shit" moment in the opening moments. I forgot all about the "Crown Point running the clock" comment. It was more to garner a reaction. I still have Crown Point beating New Pal, but I was very impressed with the Dragons. I have them ranked #11 overall, which is a compliment in my opinion.
  17. Sometimes you just need to listen to your wife. Especially when those receipts are mine.

    IU 2024

Ironic since he was so upset with what Day did last week, lol. Honestly, I think IU would have been in with a 10 point win.
  19. Wow, $10,000,000 for being lousy at what you do. Damn, I picked the wrong profession.
  20. Yes, this! And congrats to the Patriots. They came, they saw, they conquered. And they're a damn fun team to watch. Not sure I've ever seen a 3A program hit as hard as they do. They're a complete team, not just a quarterback show.
