  1. I know that sucks, but it is what it is. Can we agree that Alabama is a better team now than what they were when the played Texas? Honestly? I think this is the worst field since the playoff started back in 2013. This Alabama team wouldn't even be Top 7 any other year.
  2. So it's not about the four best teams? I'm confused.
  3. It's not Ohio State and Alabama's fault they play in a good conference and Florida State doesn't. It's not a money grab to me, it's about the four best teams. You know as well as I do that Florida State wouldn't beat the Buckeyes or the Tide. Let's be honest. Florida State wouldn't beat Notre Dame.
  4. Understood. But if I'm on the committee, I really don't want Florida State, Texas, or Washington in there. Hopefully the weekend turns out in a way the committee isn't faced with tough decisions to appease the masses.

Coming out of Grand Valley State, Brian Kelly would have had this same Kent State team in the Top 15 had he been there 5 years. Who am I trying to kid. IU should just take anyone willing to accept the job.
  6. I thought it was about picking the best four teams, maybe I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure conference championships are more about the money than a launching pad into the playoff.

Lewis isn't the guy for Indiana. He couldn't win at Kent State, no way he'd win in the Big Ten..............unless we have another covid shutdown. There's a reason I'm loosing touch with college football. I didn't know a scholarship could be revoked once handed out.

Didn't know that. I didn't think Deion cut any of them. I thought it was more of "I really don't want any of you, so just leave."

That would be like winning a lottery ticket for Mike Hart.

No thanks, they need to throw the farm at Jason Candle.
  11. Tragically, yes. It's an utter mess. I think we all know that Ohio State is one of the top four. Let's stop kidding ourselves. The best four teams in the country right now are: 1. Michigan - if they don't beat Iowa, then I give up 2. Georgia - regardless of what happens Saturday, they are one of the top four 3. Ohio State - top four, end of discussion 4. Oregon - playing pretty good football, I'll take them over Alabama right now I think Oregon and Michigan win their games by multiple scores. I think Georgia wins. Neither Florida State (lol) or Texas should jump Ohio State (although it wouldn't hurt my feelings) The playoff should be Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, and Ohio State. But the committee will find a reason to jump either Texas or Florida State over Ohio State.
  12. Georgia just needs to win the game, or we're going to have a mess on our hands. If Alabama wins: Michigan, Texas, Alabama, Washington/Oregon winner. Undefeated Florida State left in the dust.

Players entering the transfer portal dominating the headlines. It's absurd. Total fail for the NCAA to allow this to happen. Universities should now be able to eliminate a player on their own accord if said player doesn't perform up to expectations. Tit for tat.
  14. "Backing out," after already committing? I can't imagine that's the case. If it is, I'm sure there's a legitimate reason.
  15. It was a woman that said that. She was referring to Luers teams of the past. Probably those Jaylon Smith led teams.
  16. At Center Grove in 2024. Host Center Grove in 2025. Replace them and renew with Warren Central in 2026.
  17. The team that's 20-42 over the last 6 seasons? I get it, they have a tough schedule, but "destroy?" They'd lose to Crown Point. I don't see them beating Merrillville or Valpo by much more than a touchdown.
  18. Agree, but I'm not going to fault programs like Merrillville and Valpo for staying down in 5A. It will be their only chance at a state title. Class 6A isn't a level playing field. In fact, it's lopsided as hell. It's no coincidence that three 6A's four state champions are by far the largest enrollment schools in the state. To be fair, "by far" doesn't apply to Warren Central. But the gap between Carmel, Ben Davis and everyone else is an entire school's student body. If you're not in the top twenty in enrollment, you don't have a prayer at that level.
  19. Nineteen students separate the smallest three schools...............Northrop, Warsaw, and Jeffersonville. The gap between Jeffersonville and Arsenal Tech is 23 students. Then comes Lafayette Jeff, but they'd have to lose about 75 students. Using these classifications, Snider bumps up, Northrop bumps down. Harrison, Valpo, and Chesterton are the most likely to shift in population enough to bet a bump up. Of course the forementioned schools would have to lose population. For now I think we just roll with Snider and Northrop switching spots.
  20. If you look at this program historically, I don't see Homestead being average for long. Unless something else is going on over there, I'm sure there's a run on talent coming.
  21. Harrison bumping up? That's three. Jefferson, Warsaw, and Northrop coming down? I was going to take a stab at this, but not now. Too many unknowns.
  22. Would be easier if we knew whether or not Valpo is bumping up or down. So there will be one or two teams coming down. Do we know who those teams will be?
  23. Not sure what I would have done there. I went into that game glass half full, hoping for a good contest.
  24. I'm willing to bet that it did. Football can be cruel. A high school quarterback could head into college as the "golden boy", the resurrection of a program. Unfortunately, there's three other quarterbacks at the same school with the same lofty expectations of their own careers. Case in point.............Tyler Buchner. Had he chosen to go to Indiana he could very well be an NFL prospect. It's also about development. In some cases, a quarterback comes out of college worse than what he was in high school. Massive decision for a kid.
