  1. Look no further than last year. Squeaking by Mishawaka is no easy task. It actually screams that you're a pretty dangerous team.
  2. For the first time in several years, EVERY game is intriging for a change. But yes, I'm intrigued by this one as well.
  3. Quick to forget that this is the first time in three years that the HCC's best team was able to get past the North.
  4. Now, for the honest answer. All it would take is two DAC schools. Combine Crown Point and Merrillville with Buzea leading the way with Seiss as associate head coach, and they'd win state every year.
  5. Indy teams that compete in their own weight class are just as human as anyone else. Eleven of the top twelve enrollment schools are from the Indy Metro, and that includes six HCC programs. The top three enrollment schools..........drumroll.............27 state titles, lol. The rest of 6A are just sparing partners for the Indy schools to stock their trophy cases. Trolling.
  6. It's the same everywhere. Fans are streaming. Twenty five years ago there wouldn't be an empty seat to be found.
  7. No, no. I celebrated my Brownsburg prediction with it.
  8. Probably at the game. They had reason to be proud of their team. They did humilate the best team in NE Indiana.
  9. The last sentence seems to be an understatement. Outsidethehuddle.com has Luers and AC playing in 2026. Damn good opportunity for Adams County to showcase what they have.
  10. I didn't know AC had down years.
  11. Pretty solid. Hell of a story if both teams make it down to Indy. When are the Adams County teams going to pick up some of the small division SAC programs? I'd love to see Luers/Adams Central or Concordia/South Adams. I think South Side would be a could pick up for the Adams County schools as well.
  12. Wright at Carmel or Warren Central will give Center Grove a run for Central Indiana Supremecy.
  13. Good to see you back. You're not around much these days.
  14. I also have to agree with Bobref's assessment. His description of Merrillville is exactly what I saw last year at semi-state. I want to say the offense was young, so many of those players are probably seniors.....going off memory here. I have a hard time believing that Concord and Jeff have the kind of speed Merrillville does...........speculation. Again, sitting this one out. I just know Merrillville has their hands full.
  15. I simply made an observation that holding and pass interference are the two calls that seem to get coaches and fans riled up the most. Thank you for your insights.
  16. Yeah, you're not really telling me anything I don't already know.............common sense. You're really making a mountain out of a mole hill.
  17. Forgot that he was the AD also, but what you said makes sense. They shouldn't have any problem attaining a good coach being that they're rich in resources.
  18. I've got about an hour, then I gotta go.
  19. Wonders if that was Kirschner's decision or the administration. Massive mistake if it was the latter. It's hard to build a program in a window of just four years. If anyone can get away with it it's WC with their enrollment and the talent roaming the halls.
  20. It just seems more prevelant at the high school level. Look, I appreciate those guys going out there on a Friday night. If they were REALLY good, they'd be at the college or NFL level. No one's asking for them to be perfect, aint gonna happen. Just stating that those two calls, sometimes bad, can have a major impact on the outcome of a game. That being said, the officiating at the semi-state level and state level is pretty top notch.
  21. Holding calls and pass interference calls are the ones high school refs seem to struggle with the most.
  22. You're an encyclopedia of football facts, you almost take the fun out it. But I do admire your passion for the high school game. I still think you're from Indy though, most of your posts gravitate toward that area.
  23. Bud Wright is 84 and Russ Isaacs is 72. You never know.
  24. I find it very difficult to predict games involving Warsaw and Mishawaka. Sitting this one out.
