  1. Elaborate.
  2. Then they need to start playing like it.
  3. There's light at the end of the tunnel with an enrollment of 3500. Penn is a dream job. Is the pay scale on level with Indy suburban schools? Or do the coaches make peanuts like they do at most programs?
  4. Lol, that's a true story? Grown adults saying "we're not playing you next year because you beat us 49-7?" No, that can't be right.
  5. Chatard by 3. This is where strength of schedule is important. New Pal won't know what hit them in the first half, but I imagine they'll make it close after adjusting.
  6. Mishawaka's stock has gone down a bit since the beginning of the season. I think I may have had them #1 in their class for a few weeks. I'm not super impressed with their close win over a Northwood team that's clearly down from years past. But still a stout program, for sure. Maybe I'm off base since I underestimated them the last two seasons. I really like the way East Noble is playing right now so I'll take East Noble by 10. Disclaimer: I haven't seen any film on Mishawaka.
  7. My guess is several. Unless his model of success has changed, he used to be notorious for playing his best players (several) on both sides of the ball. That's how the 4A school competes with 5A and 6A competition.
  8. You're going by the score of the game, I get it. If I wasn't at the game last night, I'd have the same gap between Carroll and Snider that you have based on the 21-10 score and the 30-6 drubbing weeks prior. But I did happen to be at the game. I saw a Snider team that was better than Carroll both offensively and defensively, they just repeatedly shot themselves in the foot. The last drive of the game stalled at the 1 yard line. Down 14-0 in the third, Snider drove the length of the field only to fail to get in the endzone (interception on 4th and 1) with a 1st and goal from the one. Then reeled off 10 straight points, utterly dominating the game at that point. First drive of the game stalled at the Carroll 30 yard line on a fumble by the quarterback. Then in the second quarter, another drive stalled at the Carroll 20 with another fumble by the running back. Snider played their hearts out last night, but really beat themselves if I'm being honest. Coming up with these polls is hard work, kudos to you. Side note: Brandon Logan (Notre Dame) didn't play. About all we can do is see how the season plays out. East Noble just seems to be playing at a high level. No one expected them to blowout both Leo and Dwenger.
  9. But you have them higher than Chatard nonetheless. You've overrated them all season just like Sagarin did. Anyways. Crown Point's schedule is the greatest, we all get that. But there were some "pretty good" teams and they blew them out. One of us is going to look smarter than the other after semi-state.
  10. Just simply come on here and apologize to me after Chatard beats New Pal.
  11. Lol, you guys LOVE Sagarin. That's the reason I used it. I'm trying to make a point.
  12. Would you rather I cite your poll? I don't discriminate. I said ALL POLLS are pretend.
  13. Crown Point didn't play Mishawaka or Elkhart this year. So let's roll with Penn, Valparaiso, and Merrillville. What is a legit program? Top 6 in the state? Okay. Can we agree that Penn(29) , Merrillville (10), and Valparaiso (39) are pretty good football teams? Crown Point 46, Merrillville 13 Crown Point 41, Valparaiso 7 Crown Point 35, Penn 0 I'll concede that Crown Point would finish in the top half of the HCC with no way of knowing if they'd finish 1, 2, 3, or 4. I'll tell you what, I'll keep my opinion on CP's place in the HCC until after they dispose of Westfield for the second season in a row. That proves nothing to me. Crown Point's blown out every opponent they've faced.
  14. I can kind of get on board with this. But if Brownsburg and Westfield can get through the HCC with one loss, then I don't see why Crown Point can't. So let's say one loss is the ceiling for CP in the everyday grind to grind of the HCC, not two. One thing I've learned, is that last year's team doesn't determine how well this year's team does. For better or worse.
  15. To Komet's defense, he's not the only one predicting 6-3 or 5-4 with an Indy schedule. A lot of that has come from Central Indiana themselves. I agree with you on this, Crown Point is solid, well, more than solid. They proved that when they played Westfield last season. Yet, here they are, still being doubted.
  16. Great season. Snider came up a little short last night. I love this defense, what they've done over the last two seasons will be forever remembered. Offense is young this year, but they fought hard with the resources they had. To anyone associated with the Snider program who might be reading this, congratulations on a hard fought season. Aaron Vance is a fighter. MVP goes to Landen Fry. It' hard to ignore how he helped the offense late in the season, his defensive accomplishments speak for themselves. Best wishes to Logan (Notre Dame) and Kolagbodi (Delaware), both players were a joy to watch. Blakley is a beast and will succeed wherever he ends up. Congrats to all the other seniors for making their mark on this program. Thanks to the Snider program for bringing another exciting season to the Snider community.
  17. Crown Point goes does no worse than 7-2 with an all Indy schedule this year, maybe 9-0. Keep the receipt. It's a shame we won't get to see Elkhart vs, let's say, a Noblesville or Zionsville.
  18. Yes, please, pull them. Dwenger played some really good football late in the season. Impressive win last night for the Knights. If New Pal beat Dwenger 38-0 you'd anoint them as the seventh best team in the state. Why the double standard?
  19. I have Crown Point over Carroll by 14+ because I think they are the best team in the State of Indiana. East Noble's 38-0 trouncing over Dwenger on the Saints home field is utterly eye popping, admit it. More impressive than Brownsburg's home win over Dwenger 45-13.
  20. Nah, they'd beat Mishawaka. I gave you three good transitive property examples, you gave me one, and that was 11 weeks ago.
  21. Great post, but let's not pretend that Elkhart isn't good. They might not be a Top 10 team in 6A, but that doesn't necessarily make you "not good." With regard to Crown Point, I'm more of a believer in Craig Buzea than anything else. He is to Crown Point what Eric Moore is to Center Grove. I'm struggling to think that Carroll's going to make the three hour trip and come out victorious. Snider moved the ball pretty well against Carroll all night long with a young, small offensive line. What's Crown Point going to do with an experienced, big offensive line? Carroll's only prayer is that Crown Point doesn't have a strong pass defense as some have stated, but something tells me they'll put the necessary pressure on Sullivan to help the pass coverage. Crown Point apparently didn't open anyone's eyes last year when they beat the HCC's best team. Apparently they didn't impress anyone last night with their drubbing of Penn. They'll open some eyes next week against Carroll. CP by 14+.
  22. That was Week 2. You're a promoter of "some" teams being better in Week 12 than Week 2. Could East Noble be one of those teams?
  23. You're underestimating East Noble right now. They're a freight train that no one wants to play. You like transitive property, right? Carroll 31, Dwenger 3 Homestead 17, Dwenger 14 Snider 17, Dwenger 6 East Noble 38, Dwenger 0
  24. Interesting that I don't think Crown Point will get "thumped" by Lawrence North? I'm more intrigued by the "injuries suck" comment.
