  1. I think you meant to say "Snider doesn't belong on this list."

Buy far your best post ever.
  3. I miss the old Rodney. I vote for leniency in the future.
  4. Just saying Snider's offense kept the defense on the field the whole game. But yeah, total domination by Carroll. The Chargers are 4-1 against Snider since 2020.
  5. They seemed to have success running the ball north and south. They just never stick with what's working. I get mixing the play calling up, but damn. Kudos to Carroll though. Jimmy Sullivan put on a clinic both in the air and on the ground.
  6. Snider's offense didn't do the defense any favors. Should probably drop completely out of your Top 25.
  7. Not saying they wouldn't win, but I'm not I'd agree with "easy." All teams match up differently with one another.
  8. Nah, drop that number to 20. Snider didn't play their best game against the Cavemen. We can go back and forth on this, but lets just call it for what it was............a great game.
  9. Looking forward to your next big project. Or at least a response in the Bud Wright thread.
  10. On the surface, it does make one wonder if there's similarities between Knight/Brand.
  11. You really think he would have made a difference? Snider's always good against the run, but when one of their best defenses of all time over commits to the run, they're pretty dangerous. I really don't think it would have mattered. The only way Mishawaka was moving the ball that night was through the air.
  12. Like I always say to the Indy guys, I'll defer to your region. You know the area better than I do. It just seems to me that Concord might be a pretty good team this year, so Elkhart's one point loss isn't looking so bad. But again, I'll defer.
  13. I'll take Elkhart over Franklin Central.
  14. Someone's taking notice. He has a profile on 24/7sports, no rating yet though.
  15. He doesn't bother me. It's like Coach Nowlin said, he provides content. And what fun would the forum be without a little bit of drama? I don't have drama in my life, I have to come here to get my fix.
  16. Rodney? Thoughts? DT provided 50% of the content here. Would love to have him back.
  17. Hey now! I don't mind calling things how I see it. Welcome back Rodney, where've you been?
  18. Last year I felt like a few things went Mishawaka's way to allow them to still be in it versus Snider at the end. The deeper I dig, the more I'm coming to terms that Mishawaka, more than likely, was the second best team in 5A last season. I have a hard time with DC being "not better" than Merrillville and Valpo. The Merrillville/Valpo game went to the wire and could have gone in either direction. Merrillville and DC played Snider with equal toughness in my opinion. The only difference is that DC mustered two scoring drives against Snider compared to Merrillville's zero. Both games were relatively tight midway through the third quarter before Snider imposed their will in each game. After consideration, I'll give you Mishawaka at #2, but 3-5 could go in any order.
  19. I'll take Brownsburg and Noblesville by double digits.
  20. Hard to argue that. One might even argue that the north had the top four teams last year. But I'm not going to get into a debate with someone if Decatur Central wanted to argue that they were on par with Merrillville, Valpo, and Mishawaka. Those were your Top 5 in my opinion, no particular order after Snider.
  21. My top three teams are from the north right now. I've got Warsaw ranked 5th in the north behind Jeff, Concord, Merrillville, and Valpo. I like the north's top five in a head to head battle right now against the south's top five.
  22. Temp and Sagarin are on the same page with Elkhart with Sagarin having them at #20. It's really hard to judge Elkhart right now since they don't have a win against a quality opponent. But as I said before, losing to Concord by 1pt is nothing to be ashamed of. I probably have Elkhart in the Top 25, but I wouldn't bet on them beating Ben Davis, Pike, or Noblesville.
  23. But a one point loss to Concord isn't looking so bad anymore, don't you think? Concord is 4-0 against four programs that are pretty good. Concord is #2 in my latest 5A poll, Sagarin has them at #3. Not arguing your point about Penn and Concord being on the same level, I just think Elkhart's 1pt loss to Concord (who also beat Mishawaka by 1) is better than Penn's 20pt loss to Mishawaka. For what it's worth, I do have Mishawaka at #1 in 4A. Was it Mishawaka or Northwood that lost two top tier athletes to Elkhart? If it was Mishawaka, kudos to them, they haven't skipped a beat and look to be even better than they were the last two years. Sidenote: Always have and always will have admiration for Penn and will root for them when they're not playing Snider. I'm a bit of a fan of Mishawaka now too now that they aren't in Snider's class. They lost two heartbreakers in a row to Snider and this is their year to shine in my opinion.
  24. North Side @ Northrop – North has had glimpses of both good and bad this year, but the Bruins don’t stand a chance. If the real Legends show up, we’ll have a running clock to start the first half. Legends by 42 South Side @ Wayne – South catches a bit of a break after a brutal two week stretch. Wayne showing grit against some tough opponents. Generals by 14 Luers @ Concordia – I think this will be a good game. Concordia is drastically improved from a season ago. Luers is typical Luers. Knights by 7 Dwenger @ Homestead – Both teams are solid, but neither seem to be on par with their programs of the past. This is the battle for “best of the rest” in the SAC. Low scoring game. Spartans by 7 Snider @ Carroll – This is the SAC championship. I think these teams are equal in strength, but Sullivan will catch the Snider defense sleeping on a couple of occasions like they did last year. Snider’s offense is still a work in progress, so they’ll need help from the defense and special teams to garner enough points to win this game. Chargers by 7
