  1. Thinking about donating $30 on behalf of ever poster that puts you on "ignore."
  2. I really don't know. I wasn't the one to brought it to the table. Not sure I really like the idea. The best team in the state of Indiana is normally narrowed down to three teams. So the other 5 teams are really playing for second place. I'm not sure that's fair to the 5A program who would have otherwise won the championship in their class. Doesn't really matter though, the IHSAA would never do that.
  3. Top 8 teams regardless of class. The rest would play in their respective class.
  4. Lol, you have nothing else to add. I obliterate you with substance and you attack my spelling. Let's have coffee sometime and compare portfolios.
  5. I get that these meaningless games don't tell the whole story. But teams like Alabama and Michigan have depth. And if that depth doesn't provide, then that says something for the as a whole. I honestly think Michigan still wins that game if both teams were at full strength. You're the Michigan, guy, tell me this team isn't MUCH improved from the beginning of the season. Hell, I'm thinking that if the season started over right now, Michigan might be a playoff team.
  6. I would argue that your juvenile spell checks are more on par with a 5th grader coping mechanism. Sad that's all you really have to offer sometimes. I find it slightly entertaining that certain people on this forum have MASSIVE grammer issues, but you fail to call them out. You know what I'm talking about. Your flaws are extremely illuminated. Stick around forever though, you provide me WAY too much entertainment value to ever put you on ignore.
  7. Maybe too much of a culture change in one season? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Easiser said than done though. It's not like the new coach is going to do it the old coach's way.........unless that coach brought him up as an assistant. Everyone expected IU to beat Michigan handily. No one knew at that point that Michigan was a far different team than they were at the beginning of the season. IU winning a close game agaisnt Michigan was less than impressive. Then OSU and Bama go down. IU's stock does continue to rise............about as much as it can in a season that is over for them.
  8. IU's stock continues to rise. Although I've been critical of Sagarin's flaws, his ranking of IU at #9 is starting to look pretty accurate.
  9. Find the receipts. I don't typically go around looking for faults, I have better things to do. How's my spelling been lately?
  10. Luers/Heritage Hills is a dead topic, ancient history, 98% of the state has forgotten about it. Rodney, I'll await your opinion to my post. I think what you're getting at is that there's a drastic drop off in the Northeast after Snider, Carroll, and Homestead. I can roll with that. There's more large schools in the Northwest, giving them some credibility.
  11. So you have NWI over NEI, just to clarify. Got it. Respect your opinion. I think the emergence of Crown Point is the deciding factor.
  12. Again, I'll defer to Dabo on this. I think you commit to the kids you invested in at the beginning. Having a multi million dollar salary on the line changes things though. It's a money driven world, certainly not loyalty driven. I do like your assessment of the ND offense, it's hard to debate. But I think you're being a little harsh on Angeli and Carr. Maybe it's Leonard that's not doing the receivers many favors? I'm not arguing that he isn't the right man to lead the offense, I'm just debating whether they should have brought him in in the first place. If Angeli went to a MAC school, he's be a draft prospect already.
  13. Good point. This Penn State team feels a little different though. Not "champion" different, but "better than Boise State" different. I wouldn't consider ND over Georgia an upset. And certainly not OSU over Oregon. So there's really only two choices to your original question. Boise State or Arizona State. The consensus seems to be more trust in Texas than in Penn State. I can roll with that. Boise State it is.
  14. 1. He's supposed to do what he has to do to maintain his multi million dollar salary. Money is what drives this world, not really "doing the right thing." 2. You can't say that for certain. I understand the point your making, but "there's no way" is over dramatizing a bit.
  15. Not sure I follow. I've got Indy and it's burbs as one region and far and away the best in the state. Southern Indiana isn't even on the radar unless were measuring teams pound for pound, then I think there could be a different argument. Regarding NEI vs NWI, it really comes down to this: Do you trust Carroll, Snider, Homestead, East Noble, Leo, and Dwenger? Or do you roll with Crown Point, Penn, Merrillville, Valpo, Mishawaka, and Elkhart? It's pretty damn close.
  16. Boise State huh? Care to elaborate more on that one?
  17. That's true. Clemson's backup only threw for almost 500 yard vs the Irish in SB a few years ago. And OSU's backup came in and obliterated the field, what, ten years ago? So you never know. I guess I'm just optimistic. I really want to see a statue erected in honor of Freeman. Kelly deserves it.
  18. Lol, I refuse to lose sleep over sports anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm Irish through and through when I'm not watching IU basketball. Just kidding, the only basketball I watch nowadays is ND women. But there's really nothing like waking up at 4am, brewing a pot of coffee, and watching a football game from the night before that you don't know the outcome of.
  19. So can I. It's a benefit that comes with working from home. I seriously hate these late night games. I'll probalby record it and watch it at four in the morning.
  20. 1. I'm not sold that the SEC is the best conference this year. How battle tested are they? 2. Hard for me to rebuttle that. 3. I kind of think so. I wouldn't place a bet on the OSU/Oregon game. I have it dead even. But I would put money on the Irish beating Georgia.
  21. Oregon/OSU is a pickem. As is ND/Georgia. The better question is whether Boise State or Arizona State is more likely to pull the upset. Answer: I have no clue.
  22. Really not sure how Georgia is still the favorite with their backup QB in the game.
  23. Notre Dame
  24. Overreaction? Sure. Just making a point that the transfer portal is BS and doesn't do much justice toward the kids who committed from the beginning. Call me old school.
