  1. Good luck to Warsaw facing that defensive line.
  2. Congratulations to both teams on a hard fought game. This game was dead even going into halftime, but WC made some plays on offense in the second half to seal the game. I predicted a low scoring game in this one and felt that the difference would be a special teams or defensive touchdown. The latter never materialized, but the former did. Both teams have a Top 5 defense in my opinion. Warren Central features the best defensive line I've ever witnessed at the high school level. So I'm not surprised that this young Snider offense struggled to move the ball against them. They had a couple of opportunities to score in the first half, but just didn't capitalize. Hat's off to the WC defense. I think WC will score a lot of points this year, but make no mistake, they faced a beast tonight in Snider. This Panther defense won't allow many points this year. I said it before, I'll say it again. Their D will keep them competitive in ANY game this season. I'm optimistic for both teams. The good news for Snider is that their offense won't see a defense this good for the next 13 weeks of the season. So they have 13 weeks to prepare to play this team again at state. Warren Central can be proud of what they accomplished tonight. They took the two hour trip and defeated a very good football team and one of the best coaching staffs in the state. Snider can be proud of the fact that they went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the state despite having so many new faces on offense. I'm bullish on both teams. Again, Congrats to the Warriors.
  3. Wow! Great job Irish!
  4. Regardless, you can't shoot people with paintballs for sitting on their front porch. Walz is a circus clown at best..........on a good day.
  5. It should be archived at summitcitysports.com. You can pick it up live on your phone. Just click the Live Video tab and several games will pop up. Might have to hit the "show more" tab after scrolling down.
  6. Enrollment is 1915. Looking forward to the game tonight. I have a link to it if you'd like to have it.
  7. This guy continues to rise up the "clown" meter. Anyone who votes Harris/Walz should be committed into a mental health institution. Probably a good thing I'm not a dictator.

  9. Nah. Anyone with a morsal of a brain knows that outgaining a team 431-207 despite turning the ball over three times isn't a fluke. But one year can make a world of difference. Warren returns more than Snider does, hence the uphill battle Snider has. This OL vs DL thing is what could make Warren the victors in this one. Snider has athletes. Should be interesting. I can see why most people have Snider as a Top 10 team. And I can see why most people have Warren as at Top 5 team............regardless of what happened last season.
  10. Yeah, but you have to admit, this guy takes the cake.
  11. I like most of his picks: I think Carroll's offense will be on the field long enough to keep HSE from dropping 38 on them. I think Concordia will be more competitive than he's giving them credit for. Snider checks a lot of boxes, but offensive line isn't one of them. Warren's DL sports three D1 guys and one DII guy. If Snider wins, I would be surprised if it's by double digits.
  12. He stated that "he" built a state championship team. Not "we", but he. He wasn't even the head coach. "I" is an awful word when you are part of something larger. Most HEAD football coaches wouldn't dare use the word "I", let along a defensive coordinator. I have no doubt that he coached high school football. I have no doubt that he was a good coordinator. But the way he said it completely dismisses the head coach and a the players who got the job done.
  13. Didn't he say "I" built a championship team? I'm pretty sure there wasn't a "we" in there. As a coordinator, he played a pretty big role and is probably a good coach. I don't like the word "I", but if anyone as the right to use it, it's the head coach. Once again, he's deceiving people into believing things about him that he is not. It's almost like he doesn't like himself and has to make things up.
  14. Don't make the mistake of showing up at Northrop for this one. The Bruins are hosting New Haven tonight. Game is being played on the south side of Fort Wayne at Wayne High School. Good interview on Warren's twitter page with the head coach.
  15. When will the polls be posted?
  16. So both quotes are accurate. Lost several starters but reloaded with some very talented kids. Thanks. They do seem to be on solid ground (reloading mode) under the the direction of Michael Kelly. Top contender in the North seems to be the norm.
  17. "HSE graduated a lot of players." "Hamilton Southeastern as the talent to win it all this year." Confused.
  18. I could come up with several games off the top of my head where Team A (north) was better than Team B (south) on "that" night. It goes both directions. I'm not accusing anyone of being biased. Never accused the IFCA of being biased. My only crime was saying it had "an Indy flavor." I'm actually good with the entire Top Ten being Indianapolis, although I think Crown Point and Snider have deemed themselves worthy. You also know that I've publicly given you credit for being the least biased poster on this forum. I honestly don't care what polls say, they are just for fun.
  19. So there were seven teams better than Westfield last year? At some point you do have to give Crown Point credit for beating the best team in the best conference in the state. But I agree with your first sentence. It's not like it's the Indianapolis Star's poll. It's the IFCA's poll, so bias shouldn't come into play. I'd be perfectly fine with Crown Point, Snider, and Carroll sitting at 13, 14, & 15. It's just a poll.
  20. I like Crown Point at #5. I don't care for Carroll at #15, but they did that to themselves against Warsaw. I like Snider at #10, but it's odd how they are behind WC in every poll despite bringing back some really good players from a team that easily took care of business last year vs the Warriors. I think the perception is that Snider's still a 5A program, which is OK. So yeah, an Indy flavor is fine. Just odd that WC isn't being judged for last year, but Carroll is. I guess who really cares, what happens happens.
  21. Lol, definitely has an Indy flavor.
  22. Speaking of.................. And it won't happen, take it to the bank.
  23. I absolutely do. I just have a hard time referring high school varsity players as "children." Prefer "young adults" for 18 year olds. "Teenagers" for the rest of the teenagers. "Children" 12 and under.
