At the minimum, they should be one of the Top 5 teams in the state every year. But if their coach is one of those guys who is required to teach all day, coach for pennies on the dollar, then go home and tend to his family, then we could have an issue. Some good coaches actually do do that, but I wouldn't blame a guy for putting family before football based on their pay scale. In simple terms, if you took one coach and cloned him to coach every team in the state, Carmel should come out on top 50% of the time and hit Top 5 status 100% of the time.

If Valpo is banged up like you say they are, they may have trouble getting past Merrillville. They barely did it last year healthy. Hate to speculate on North Side. See Komets post, he doesn't mince words.

I just don't if this Luers team scratches the Knights Top 15 of all time.............which is what it would probably take to win state. Someone from Luers would have to chime in on this one.

Luers were down at halftime to Churubusco. I'd bet they don't reach state, too inconsistent.

I've got Hamilton Eastern putting up 49 against Northrop in the first half. They call off the dogs and let the clock run out. Royals 56-0 Fisher's will be too much for Homestead. Indy teams normally put their best foot forward when they come to Fort Wayne. They know they can't sleep on Homestead or they'll suffer the same fate Snider did. Fishers 28-7

That would be easy. Outside of Snider, Carroll, and occasionally Homestead, the SAC isn't very good this year. North Side self destructed, Dwenger is way down, and the rest of the teams are 1/4 the enrollment of Avon and Zionsville.

I just had to laugh at the "at best" part. You're implying that Westfield, Hamilton Southeastern, and possibly Lawrence North are all better than Snider as a fact. Sorry my man, that's not fact. It's probably best to revisit this conversation at the end of the season.
