  1. Can you elaborate a little bit? Kind of like the SAC and the Big Ten? Two teams and everyone else? Three teams in DAC's case?
  2. Those rankings don't mean a hill of beans to me. The project a matchup tool is 50% joke. I'm not sure why you're bringing them up anyway. You said Fishers was better than Snider based on the Homestead matchup. That being the case, then Snider's better than Ben Davis based on the Warren Central matchup. I've been saying it for the past three weeks, throw transitive property out the window, it's not the end all be all. If you want to keep going, we can move on to why Carroll is better than Fishers based on your scenarios. Won't know until the games are played. I'll tell you right now that Ben Davis isn't beating Snider 46-14, lol. Are you aware of the many flaws in the computer ratings? If not, I'd be happy to enlighten you.
  3. Agree, Penn's past speaks for itself. They are the winningest program in the state going back 31 seasons.
  4. Penn is still a solid program, they just haven't won state in awhile. When Geesman was at the helm, they reloaded every year bar none and were considered Top 4 in the state regardless of class. With Yoeman, they're more like a yoyo. Top 25 seems to be the new bar. If Penn wins state this year, there's no reason to believe they'll get out of sectional next season. It just seems like that lately for the Kingsmen. Seeing what CP's new coaching staff has done in a short period of time, I'm already sold that they're a player for years to come. Don't sleep on Dinan and Carroll, I saw how good they were in person. Warsaw clearly wanted it more than they did.
  5. You're the one that brought up transitive property, not me. IMG isn't part of the equation with regard to this discussion.
  6. Yawn. Chatard needs to bump up to 4A and voluntarily stay there.
  7. The DAC is weaker than Normal? Crown Point is way up. Merrillville is their normal self, which is overall Top 25, and Valpo is right up there with all time Valpo greats of the past. Is the rest of the conference way down? Don't let one game skew your opinion of Carroll. They fell asleep against Warsaw this year, maybe since last years game was a yawner, who knows. The Chargers looked pretty solid against Hamilton Southeastern, Warren Central, and Snider. And if you believe in "transitive property," then they are better than Fishers. I agree with Temptation, Crown Point is on the upswing.............regardless if they win or lose on Friday.
  8. No, I don't think you have. "Transitive property," throw it out the window unless you're prepared to rank Snider ahead of Ben Davis.
  9. Lot's of good games. Penn/Crown Point should draw a hell of a crowd.
  10. Jordan King, he's a beast. He'll do well at Purdue. Good luck to the young man.
  11. Didn't say North played any good. They were dominated. Just said they had some big kids and some athletes. No doubt Snider could have dropped 98+ on them if they wanted to.
  12. Interesting. I was also following on Facebook. Didn't know anything about the ejections. More wrapped up in the big upset.
  13. You haven't been paying attention.
  14. Lol, I mentioned one team in your entire Top 25. I think that's giving your Top 25 quite a bit of respect. Kudos to you for putting it together. With over 300 teams and a nine game schedule, I take the easy road and formulate my Top 25 at the end of the season. For the record, I chose Fishers as an upset pick. Had I been betting money, I would have taken HSE. And I like to take chances and be different from the crowd. I've got Snider just ahead of Fishers and Crown Point. Not much of a change in your Top 25. Again............kudos. I enjoy seeing it posted at 6am in the morning over a cup of coffee.
  15. Ben Johnson has the passion and the players. There were some dudes out there last night in the trenches that looked like D1 guys. I think he just needs to tweak some things internally. The game was pretty clean last night with the exception of a couple of personal fouls. Had some decent athletes as well. That quarterback could run.
  16. You had Fishers ranked to high anyway.
  17. Linton-Stockton goes down?
  18. I wouldn't call it an upset, just two very good teams going at it. Credit to Leo, it was the second time they beat them this year. First game was 14-7.
  19. 1. Warsaw @ Penn 2. Fishers @ Hamilton Southeastern 3. Westfield @ Noblesville 4. Cathedral @ Lawrence North 5. Mishawaka @ Concord 6. Harrison @ Decatur Central 7. Whiteland @ Terre Haute South 8. Evansville North @ Castle 9. NorthWood @ Northridge 10. Mississinewa @ Kokomo 11. Brebeuf Jesuit @ Mooresville 12. Evansville Reitz @ Evansville Memorial 13. Hanover Central @ West Lafayette 14. Tri-West @ Monrovia 15. Gibson Southern @ Vincennes Lincoln 16. Batesville @ Indian Creek 17. Bremen @ LaVille 18. Eastern (Greentown) @ Bluffton 19. Southmont @ Linton-Stockton 20. Winchester @ Eastern Hancock 21. North Judson @ Triton 22. Park Tudor @ North Vermilion 23. North Decatur @ Milan 24. Springs Valley @ Providence
  20. I'll take Fishers over Hamilton Southeastern.
  21. Unless they have a mammoth breakdown afterward. In fact, if the 12 team playoff started this year, I think the Irish would be dubbed as the team no one wants to play.
  22. Someone told me the other day that Oregon could be the team to beat. I never take west coast football too seriously.
  23. I honestly don't know, I lost interest in the CFP after Notre Dame lost to Louisville. I keep an eye on it, but probably not as tightly as you guys.
  24. So the eye test doesn't really count. Right or wrong?
