  1. Someone from Indy help me out. Recruiting is probably the reason the PP's, Ben Davis, and Warren Central are so good and teams deep inside the donut are so bad. I'm just not sure how Indianapolis teams can be as bad as they are without their best talent being raided by their neighbors. I'm presuming suburban schools are self sustaining based on their enrollment and resources alone and have nothing to do with the outright failure in Indianapolis proper when it comes to football.
  2. Outside perspective. Both teams have reason to be intimidated by the other. It's a wash.
  3. Unbiased opinion: Disclaimer: I root for all teams from Indiana first, whether it's Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Butler, or Ball State. I then gravitate toward the Big Ten, starting with our neighbors Ohio State and Michigan since I reside close to both boarders. I've recently thrown Ohio State out the window, their fans are just a different breed of arrogant. I'm starting to lose interest in Michigan as well, since my political views aren't in line with theirs. I still like to see Michigan's football team do well since most affiliated with the program couldn't care less about politics. I'm also happy for Harbaugh, who is a 7 on my scale of 1-10 in terms of likability, that he's no longer taking beat downs from the Buckeyes. That being said, is it just coincidence that Michigan was less than their standard during Harbaugh's first five seasons? Now all of a sudden they're a top team in the country three years running? Was there some incentive after the first five years to do something "different" to get over the hump? Let's face it, when big egos and million dollar salaries are on the line, 90% of these guys are probably willing to cheat. So by no means is Harbaugh alone. But not only that, Harbaugh rates as a 7 on my likability scale simply because there something about him that just screams "sneaky." I dunno, maybe it's just me. Just random thoughts, no dog in the fight.
  4. Disagree. Advantage Irish. I've been watching football long enough to know that inclement weather equalizes things when two teams of different caliber and strengths square off.
  5. Ben Davis by 7. The Irish keep it close, but the Giants show why they might be the second best team in the state.
  6. I think when Eric Moore is gone, Center Grove will fall to the lowly level of Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern, and Westfield.
  7. If that. They had a short drive that resulted in a punt I believe. Their only first half score was the kickoff return for a touchdown. Advice for Friday: Score every time you get the ball.
  8. They could do the same thing to Snider that Warsaw did to Carroll............chew up the entire first quarter. As much as Snider likes to get the ball first in the second half, I can't imagine them kicking the ball to start the game if given the choice.
  9. Eric Moore, Ben Davis, Warren Central, and Carmel will always be a tough hurdle to overcome. But top to bottom, it's a no contest.
  10. It better be, it would be embarrassing otherwise.
  11. Thought someone from your area stated that they were, that's really all I'm going off of. I hear they are a little less one dimensional on offense this year, so maybe being better is a presumption.
  12. Lol, we get it already.
  13. If Snider played Homestead again, they'd win by 21-28 points. Anything can happen on any given night. Damn, look at the Carroll/Warsaw game. This week Snider's playing a team that utterly dominated them for two quarters last year and some say this Caveman team is better. Snider better put their best foot forward is all I'm saying. I don't think this is going to be the 21 point game some are saying it will be. I'll be the first to eat crow if it is.
  14. No, I don't. I just think Mishawaka is better than what they are being given credit for. A good team like that plays motivated when everyone says they're going to get blown out. Stay tuned.
  15. Snider is good, everyone knows that. If it weren't for the generosity of the coaching staff, they may have been up 63-0 at halftime over North Side. But................it would be a MASSIVE mistake to underestimate this Mishawaka team. They're not North Side.
  16. Not so fast. This Cavemen team is good. We all had Carroll by 21 over Warsaw. Wait and see.
  17. Too many blowout predictions in this one. Mishawaka will take exception to that. I'll take the Cavemen by 7.
  18. Great night for the town of Mishawaka. Two great games within 8 minutes of one another.
  19. I appreciate your passion for high school football. It's the one thing we all have in common. But I think you're putting too much emphasis on these computer rankings.
  20. Was it 2017 when they manhandled Carmel? Just seems like a few years ago.
  21. It'll be awhile, Snider is locked in with East Noble and Warsaw.
  22. Penn winning three of the next five 6A state titles.
  23. Those Valpo teams were probably better, I'll give you that. But a running clock isn't happening , not even close. People tend to forget that Valpo won a state championship last year and returned 19 starters from that team. This year's team isn't flashy, but they have good line play, good running backs, an experienced signal caller, and good defense.
  24. I'll buy all your other points, but not this one.
