  1. Of course it is, just like the Fort Wayne newspapers. Too bad they are all left leaning, it's costing them millions. Don't mix business with politics...........it's a death sentence. I would say so. I like the idea of using the ranking, but some coaches will abuse it when already up 35 points.
  2. Talk Jeff Sagarin into compiling stats from the first half only, then use his ranking.
  3. Carroll lost some studs. I'm not sure they are a program that is top level every year, but I think Dinan has them on the cusp. They certainly have the student body and facilities to succeed. The Chargers should have a fighting chance in Sectional 2. Homestead is probably the team to beat in the Northeast. They seem to be pretty good every year without fail. But Sectional 3 will be brutal with HSE and Fishers. Temp says: "SAC good." There ya go Temp, now you don't have to post it yourself.
  4. Doesn't matter. They'll finish in the Top 10. Take it to the bank.
  5. Transfers. Ben Johnson seems motivated to make a contender out of North Side. He's got some studs.
  6. Absolutely! No disrespect to those programs, I was stating that Fort Wayne needs representation. I fully expect Homestead to reach that level of play sooner than later. They owned the NHC. After being in the SAC for a few years, they achieved the top of the mountain a couple of times and are widely considered along with Snider and Dwenger as one of the top teams in the conference. After a few years of slugging it out with the likes of Carmel and Noblesville, I think the Spartans will achieve yet another level of play from their program. I'm still undecided as to where Carroll sits as a program. I think we all know they have a passionate coach who is above average in his field of work. They're just not at Homestead's level in my opinion. Maybe another strong year from the Chargers will change that perception, but they have some pretty big holes to fill this year. Won't be easy.
  7. One returning starter? Are you sure about that? That doesn't seem possible, but if it's true, then maybe the don't belong in the Top 10.
  8. All Indy teams at the top of 6a. Sad, but possibly true. Homestead and Carroll need to do something about this.
  9. Take it within a grain of salt. They will be Top 5 in 2a no matter what their record turns out to be in the SAC. Don't rule it out. Jason Garrett is a very good coach at a very good program. Interesting to say the least.
  10. The 2020 North Side team was decimated with injuries throughout the remainder of the season from what I recall. Being a neighboring district, North Side and Snider were once fierce rivals. To this day, the Legends always come out swinging when they play the Panthers. And with the information that we are gathering about North Side during this off season, Week 1 could turn into a war with huge SAC title implications.
  11. Just don't measure their success by how they do against Snider in Week 1 2021 Lost to Snider by 2...........finished the season 2-7 2020 Waxed Snider by 30...........finished the season 5-6
  12. They've always been tough at the front and middle. It really comes down to the secondary in this pass heavy conference.
  13. Good stuff DT. The Panthers will be solid this year.
  14. I'm not sure why Moore would want to compete with Carr at Notre Dame, too big of a risk in my opinion. Why not go somewhere where your playing time is a little more cut and dry.
  15. 1. It's really been the Snider, Dwenger, Homestead show since 2015. Carroll hasn't done anymore than Bishop Luers since joining the conference. That's not a jab at the Chargers, just the truth. All eyes are on North Side this year, but I've got to see it to believe it. Until then, the conference still belongs to the forementioned three teams. 2. If North Side can do it then so can we? Or do we commit to the kids who have been in the program from the beginning? I believe in the latter, even if it's at the expense of a few victories. Good question, just don't know the answer. 3. So you're going with Norwell? 4. It's very rare that the SAC doesn't have at least one linemen ranked among the states best. I think this is one of those years. 5. Eastside.........Luers worst nightmare. They've been a matchup problem for the Knights as of late. 6. Adams Central and South Adams own that conference. Plain and simple.
  16. I understand the overall picture. Suburban schools always have and always will dominate country club sports. It's an unfair fight. It's a complicated issue. But from a football standpoint? Warren could still schedule CG if they wanted to, but it's pretty clear they don't want to. So is it political or is it competition? The million dollar question.
  17. It has to be political. A can't imagine a program like Warren shying away from competition.
