Okay...I missed Andrean. Still, the “Region” is the 2nd largest population concentration in the state of Indiana (roughly 820,000)....yet a school in St Leon, Indiana (population 671) has been featured at LOS more times than any school from the “Region” over the last few years.

Going to be honest. Not trying to be nasty....but puzzled by the general overall uncompetitive nature of the area. If I were some dude from outside the State and I had to go to Indianapolis every year for the last 15-20 years for Thanksgiving and my in-laws insisted we go see the Indiana HS Football State Championships all those weekends, I wouldn’t recognize any single name of any High School listed in the above references (I would recognize Lowell...but they weren’t mentioned). None....nada. I would know the names of a LOT of teams in Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, South Bend and the Evansville Area. Hell, I’d know the name of a school in Southeast Indiana who’s town is the equivalent of postage stamp (East Central). Why is the “Region”, almost alone, simply not competitive? Unless you folks want to claim Rensselaer along with Lowell.

So far, I am not seeing any evidence of this. It’s not listed as playing on IHSAATV or affiliates. Chatard did webcast the East Central home game on Facebook a couple of weeks ago but I’ve seen no announcement regarding this as of yet, either. In theory (note....”theory”), this is a game between No. 3 and No. 5 per Maxpreps/Calpreps and should technically (note....”technically”) constitute the premier game this weekend in Indiana.

I thought you were being infiltrated by Athletic Directors when I saw this topic. I keep picturing this:

Thumbs Up: East Central defeating Moeller 21-6. This Indiana HS win over an historic GCL powerhouse has gone largely unremarked. I’m not sure there has been a bigger EIAC victory ever outside of East Central and Lawrenceburg’s prior State Championships. It seems like every corner of the State loves to b!tch and moan about being disrespected but there is nowhere in Indiana as overlooked as Southeastern Indiana. Congrats to East Central.

I was out of town last week and, for whatever reason, couldn’t sign onto the GID all last week until just yesterday. I have stated previously, that I have no qualms with schools charging for video feeds....and I get why the IHSAA is doing it more often than in the past given their likely decrease in income. That said, I was surprised that WHMB TV-40 charged $10.00 this past Friday night to watch their Game of the Week (Chatard/Roncalli) on line. Just 2 weeks ago and in all years past, I have been able to watch their Game of the Week live online at no cost. Not sure why the change of policy on their part but it does seem to be taking a bit of advantage.

Think I’ve asked this previously elsewhere (while, well deservedly, expressing my absolute snail-level disdain for WRBI’s Ron Raper) is the Chatard/EC game going to be carried on broadcast or radio....other than Chatard’s Facebook? If so, where?

Just kind of my personal gig. I always figured that if I really disagreed enough with someone enough to give them a downtick I, at least, ought to talk it out. If not, then they just weren’t worth the time to give a downtick to anyway. Again, that’s just me....

I probably need to explain first principles for me. I haven’t given a single downtick in the 12-13 years I’ve been around here. I gave Muda a couple when he p!ssed me off and then withdrew them 5 minutes later. I’ve always figured that if I really have a disagreement with someone, I’d argue it out. Otherwise, I just like being smarmy. But then....that’s just me. Hell, I’ve given Muda upticks in the middle of vicious disagreements just because he made a semi-good point...or made me chuckle (obviously accidental....since Muda has no sense of humor....waiting, waiting).

Not sure why you received a downtick for this (at least the first paragraph...I can’t verify the second.....mainly because I’m lazy). The first paragraph was a quote, though....I found it pretty easily (which means anyone could). The last thing one is allowed to do these days, apparently, is report the truth....you must have missed the memo. But hey, its not like you’re writing for the New York Times or anything.....

Anybody know if this is going to be webcast/broadcast anywhere? I don’t think SEI sports is covering it. I did see something on WRBI about a webcast, though. Can’t believe Ron Raver apparently must have a show on WRBI, btw.....I don’t know any adult not currently serving time that I have any lower regard for.
