  1. I’d expand that to the country. IU is not the most talented team but I’d be hard-pressed to find a team that is going to be better prepared heading into Saturday than the Hoosiers. There needs to be a blank check on Cignetti’s desk Monday morning.
  2. I'd put Brownsburg higher as they have much easier route out of sectionals.
  3. Big break for Cathedral as they essentially get a 2 week bye. LN should handle LC but LC did put up a fight against LN in week 1 giving them their closest game to date.
  4. I don’t doubt CP is a good football team this year. That being said, they’d still be a decided underdog against whomever from the South bracket if they are fortunate enough to get there.
  5. Because the poster I responded too bragged about Crown Point “only” losing to Ben Davis by 28 last year. Ben Davis was a good team and deserving champion, but wasn’t close to a generational team.
  6. Going to be fascinating watching the build up to the Nov 5 CFP initial ranking reveal. Texas is legit but I think the SEC as a whole is vastly overrated this year. Georgia is good but they appear interested in doing everything but playing football. Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, and Ole Miss don’t looking anywhere close to being top 10 teams but have remained as such due to lofty preseason rankings. If Texas beats Georgia next week, good chance all but one or two SEC teams have at least two losses heading into the Nov 5th reveal as a lot of the already 1 loss SEC will play each other by then. Are they going to be ranked over undefeated/1 loss teams like Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana?
  7. Aside from blowing out Pike in the sectional championship, Crown Point was BD’s easiest playoff game last year. Beat Brownsburg, Cathedral, and Center Grove all by 3 points each and believe had to come back to win in all 3 of them. I’m not sure Crown Point would have won a 6A south sectional last year.
  8. Cathedral beefing up their schedule and playing a modern game of football made them the more attractive school. Roncalli was about a decade late in that regard and for whatever reason decided to drop the two best programs on their schedule (Center Grove and Cathedral).
  9. These were neck and neck programs 20 years ago. One took off and the other took their ball and went home at the first sign of adversity.
  10. LN definitely has the “IT” factor but Brownsburg has beaten (and played) better teams according to your top 25. I’d still have Brownsburg at 1 but think those two have definitely separated themselves from the rest of the field.
  11. We’re going on more than half a decade of Carmel being largely irrelevant. They’re the 5th best team…in Hamilton County.
  12. LN’s win extremely impressive but Center Grove just seems to lack some juice this year. Defense in the two games I’ve seen is very prone to giving up the big play and just can’t seem to get off the field when it matters and the QB has been a turnover machine the last few games. LN’s athletes are scary good and LN’s QB puts the ball where it needs to be more times than not. They are susceptible up the middle defensively and I thought Center Grove got away from that the second they went down a score. Nobody is beating LN in a shootout this year I wouldn’t think.
  13. Heads need to roll at Carmel.
  14. Even though they're bottom half enrollment and have over a 50% F/RL program? Sorry couldn't resist 😄
  15. Must have been asleep that week lol.
  16. If Cathedral doesn't win by at least 3 TDs I'll be mildly disappointed. I have to wonder how much rivalry feel this game is actually going to have. First meeting in 6 seasons and the first time these two have played each other in the regular season since 2010. Roncalli's last win vs Cathedral game back in 2006 in a two-day affair.
  17. They'll only be a top 4 seed if they win the B10, likewise with Georgia and the SEC. Top 4 seeds are the highest 4 ranked conference champions. As it stands now it would be: #1 Texas #2 Ohio State #3 Miami #4 Iowa State
  18. With a mandated 2H running clock once the score threshold crosses 35 points, I'm guessing that's how 95% of these games go. You can count on one hand the number of teams who intentionally "run up the score" over the course of the season. Muda is the king of engagement farming.
  19. Think they could. Wouldn’t be favored. No issues with an undefeated Penn St team being ranked ahead of a 1 loss Georgia team.
  20. Rooted against IU… Own team lost.
  21. Pretty sure Temp had East Central near the top all last year.
  22. A team scores 83 points and it’s not even going to make @Muda69run it up thread? Travesty
  23. Center Grove had it available on its website for purchase. Cathedral wins a wild one 49-45. Two best players on the field were both sophomores, McClurg and Dangerfield.
  24. Cathedral 49 Center Grove 45 Final
  25. Center Grove throws an INT. Cathedral 49-45 4 min
