  1. Lol IU has never had a short term fix to have that problem. Give me a guy that wins 7-8 games a year for 3-4 years and gets hired away than a guy who wins 2-3 games over 3-4 years and lets the new guy start from scratch. IU football history the last century in a nutshell.
  2. If Fitz is hired away because IU is winning 7-8 games a year it’s money well spent. IU has won 7+ games twice in the last 30 years.
  3. Hearing IU AD (and he sucks) has targeted Pat Fitzgerald (would be a great hire) but facing a major hurdle getting clearance from the university president and BoT. Jason Candle or Paul Chryst the other rumored candidates. Won’t need to interview outside that pool.
  4. Agree as well. But they have the athletes to match Georgia step for step. Not sure Michigan can say that and Ohio State lacks firepower from the most important position on the field.
  5. Oregon is a top 4 team in my opinion and they solidify that with a revenge win against Washington. Maybe the only team I can see beating Georgia.
  6. If that’s the deal breaker he should immediately be ruled out. Have to have a coach in place before the portal opens. Need first crack at incoming entries as well as the possibility to re-recruit the current roster. There’s some young offensive talent that IU would be wise to keep.
  7. Didn’t know his name until 3 weeks ago (and that’s probably on me). I’m sure IU could do worse and that’ll probably happen.
  8. I liked Dickert up until he lost 8 games in a row. Would take Campbell in a heart beat, not sure he’d come. I could be talked into Jason Candle at Toledo and possibly Tom Herman or Paul Chryst. If they hire Antwaan Randle-El like I’m hearing is a serious possibility, just play intramurals and use the money to buy the best basketball team possible.
  9. IU and Allen are going to reach a negotiated buyout that allows him to gain employment elsewhere immediately. The next check that needs to be made out is in the form of a new AD. Cannot let Scott Dolson hire the next football coach. Two years overdue. Just fired per the IndyStar
  10. A one loss conference champion Oregon would absolutely get in over a one loss Ohio State who didn’t even win their division. Yes absolutely. Georgia has better wins than Ohio State.
  11. Should edit, a Georgia loss may not end their hopes. 4th team would come down to OSU or Georgia.
  12. Not necessarily, there’s just other very good teams at the top who don’t play in the SEC. I think Oregon is going to kill Washington in their rematch and be one of the 4 teams. I think there are only two guarantees right now: -Michigan is in regardless of a loss -Winner of Washington/Oregon is in Georgia is obviously in with a win and Florida State is also in if they go undefeated. I think this is the most likely scenario. If FSU loses and both Texas and Alabama win, Texas gets in by virtue of beating Alabama earlier this year. If FSU and Texas both lose and Alabama wins, Alabama is the 4th team bumping Georgia. If FSU, Texas, and Alabama all lose Ohio State gets in.
  13. Swap Oregon for Alabama and it’s a good list.
  14. They (FSU) weren’t any less impressive with a back up QB than Alabama who needed to convert a 4th and 31 to beat a team that lost to New Mexico St on their home field by 3 TDs last week. If an undefeated FSU gets left out just burn the entire system down and go back to no overtime’s and mythical titles.
  15. How many of the state champions played their toughest postseason games 5-6 weeks ago? Fixing the postseason format might make for a better and more competitive Thanksgiving weekend.
  16. Back on topic, didn't mean to derail the thread with an innocuous Tom Allen joke. CG has been there done that these last few seasons and I think that gives them a slight edge. I got CG 34-28.
  17. Might be the 3 biggest wins of Allen's coaching career 😁
  18. -Dick Dullaghan and Bud Wright are no-brainers. -Rick Streiff has to be on there too I would think -Eric Moore, Chris Geesman, Matt Lindsay, and Bruce Scifires all have legitimate cases.
  19. Seeing Cathedral play Brownsburg, Center Grove, and Ben Davis this year, Brownsburg in my opinion was the best of the 3. They were very balanced both on the ground and through the air. This version of Center Grove isn't as good as some previous teams in my opinion but still good enough to win the next two weeks. Honestly expected more out of BD. Their defensive line was very good and gave Cathedral all sorts of problems but I wasn't wowed with their speed and offensive play-calling.
  20. Huge break. Far-side line judge is having a terrible night.
  21. Looks like it's more than just the NCAA after Harbaugh. Barred from the sideline for the rest of the regular season. Hopefully Scalions didn't retire the disguise Ray-Ban's. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38864724/sources-big-ten-ban-michigan-jim-harbaugh-field
  22. I would be shocked if Cathedral laid down Friday night.
  23. Put the bong down. Private schools will likely only win 1A and 3A. The rest of your post is pure nonsense.
