Yes Sir. The flow of the offense looked much better on the last drive of the 2nd quarter as well as 2nd half. It's clear they can move the ball if the OL can hold a pocket and Swift can run down field. I do have to throw out a negative though and wonder why CW and Moore are still having chemistry problems. That route Moore gave up on near the EZ could have possibly been a TD if he was in sync with CW. He lilved up to the hype today. Wow!

I noticed that yesterday when I was looking at the box score. Saw quite a few who had JMU listed in their previous seasons for prior stats. I was in Bloomington yesterday. Was very surprised by the fan turnout despite awful weather. Like you said, culture is huge. Easy to get young kids to buy into the culture you’re creating when it’s backed up by W’s and they’re having fun. Took my daughter to Mother Bears after the game for wings and pizza. Right now my money is spent in Bloomington on Saturdays while I ignore the crap show in West Lafayette.

For some reason it really rubs me the wrong way that you're a fringe Region guy who commutes to The Loop everyday as a Packers fan. 1. The Pac 12 put a lot of DB's into the NFL. Not really sure why it matters who he played against. But he was solid at Oklahoma and solid at USC until his last year. His OL sucked his last year in USC and his numbers dropped 2. Allen being hurt sucks. Moore is getting most of the focus from defenses. It's freeing up Odunze. Not really sure where the inconsistent play comment is coming from. WR's can't do anything if the QB can't throw the ball. 3. Roschon Johnson is good. He's not fully healthy though. The Colts game was the first time he saw good action this year. Herbert is a serviceable RB. Swift was a wasted FA pickup. Should have spent that cash on IOL help. 4. Defense has been solid. What are you talking about? 5. Agreed. The downtown stadium likely isn't happening. The state is currently not interested in financing and the Bears would have to go to war with The Friends Of The Parks to get it built. This is a majoir undertaking. There would be a lot of infrustructure changes as well to make it easier to get to and from Soldier Field. Right now it's not even close to be pedestrian friendly as you have to get over the Metra Lines and LSD to get to Soldier Field. Not really sure why building an entertainment distict you own in Arlington isn't the first option. 6. I think the McCaskey's have made improvements here by hiring Poles and Warren. That's a MASSIVE change to how the organization was previously ran (a McCaskey as President and the Financial CFO as GM) Everyone just needs to relax. It's 3 games. The clear broken part of the team is the OL and they're holding back the offense. Poles should deservedly take heat for not fixing the line if they season progresses as it's currently going. But, like @Coach Nowlin pointed out, maybe the focus all along was to get the high end offensive talent in while it was available and fix the OL for next year with picks / FA pickups.

I was way off last week. I will say for probably the 150th time in this topic that Noblesville has to figure out how to throw the ball. The run offense is Elite. Just find a f'n balance that works. A 6A team shouldn't look ridiculous when they're trying to go 60'ish yards in 35 seconds to send the game to OT. FIshers @ Avon: I don't get it. I keep looking at the Pike game and thinking it's a sign that Fishers isn't elite. Maybe it was just a fluke. I fully expented Brownsburg to win comfortably. I'll take the Tigers over the Orioles by 17. Franklin Central @ Noblesville: Perfect bounceback game for Noblesville. FC hits the busses again to come up to Hamilton County. Not been working out well for them lately. Millers by 6. Westfield @ Brownsburg: Should be a great atmosphere. Big stadium with no track around the field and Brownsburg fans fill it up. 'Dogs by 7. Zionsvile @ HSE: Royals get back in the win column. Zionsville will put up a fight but the Royals will pull away for a 17 point win.

Some good games this week involving Top 25 teams. Friday: Virginia Tech at Miami: The ultimate bandwagon fandbase should be rockin' Hard Rock Casino on Friday night. MIami is must watch TV this year with Cam Ward. Hurricane games are funner to watch when their fans show up. Saturday: Louisville at Notre Dame: Rare opportunity this year for the Irish to get a Top 25 win. Brohm looking for an early big W at Louisville. Oklahoma at Auburn: Good chance the Sooners start out SEC play at 0-2. Wisconsin at USC: Yikes. I'm starting to understand the knocks on Riley. Fickel's goal for now has to be getting to the top of the 2nd tier. Mississippi State at Texas. I mean seriously. Ewers AND Arch at QB. Personally, I love when Texas is an Elite team. Illinois at Penn State: The Illini were impressive in Lincoln last Friday. Bilema has a real good, not great, team in Illinois. This is a sneaky big game for Franklin. Georgia at Alabama: Not many brands bigger than these in the modern era. A chance for the fresh fish to go knock out the bully very early and send a statement to the SEC. Washington State @ Boise State and Arizona @ Utah: Late night hangover option to loosely watch 1st Round NFL talent with the RB from Boise and the 6'5 WR 'Zona WR.

Yeah, here's the problem: Braxton Jones and Tevin Jenkins seem to have degressed. Wright might be the only lock for next season to start. Nate Davis has basically quit The patchwork guys that were brought in have been completely busts It's a nightmare scenario and the GM failed. Can't really give him a pass on this one. His very first move in FA was to bring in Swift with a nice deal. He's not even needed this year. That first move had to go IOL help. The kids can play. Rome is very good. CW will be OK. Once again he showed he can process well and hit his reads with accurate throws when his OL gave him clean pockets against Indy. I'm just worried this OL will drastically increase the ramp up time on CW's development.

From what I've been hearing lately it sounds like Waldren wasn't well respected in Seattle. So many knee jerk reactions which just only 3 weeks played. Obviously, a lot can change as the season progresses. But, right now, King Poles isn't looking so Royal with the hiring of Waldren and failing to fix the OL in the offseason.

He's finally in a good spot now in Washington. Very good QB and an offense that is ready to produce. I watched most of that game. The Commander's OL gave Daniel's a lot of clean pockets.

LOL. I think that was the infamous 4th & 1 Pistol Speed Option. They should own it. Each one of them should have that picture pasted to their locker until the OL figures out how to play NFL football. I can't believe Chris Morgan is tolerating it.

Yep. Players have to know they can't celebrate and need to be ready for the 2pt conversion. They also wasted a TO when the Colts were on the goalline. Not sure what the point was on that one. I listed to Briggs and Brown last night and they were roasting Waldron for that goal line sequence. Similiar to you, they said Roschon has to be in considering he was moving the pile all game when he had the ball. They laughed about the speed option out of the pistol as being way to easy to defend. To make matters worse on that play, someone mentioned in the post game presser that the Colts D didn't even give them the look they preppred for when running the speed option in practice. That concerns me. Did Caleb not check off or do the coaches not give him a chance to check off? I'm sure Flus will be asked about that today on one of his Chicago radio stints. At least we saw some progress from CW. He can find the open WR when he has time to throw. Needs to continue figuring out how fast windows close though. Odunze was briefly open on the INT that bounded off his hands/chest into the Colts DB hands. The Colts safety closed that window quickly. Probably something a rookie QB isn't used to seeing. What really frustrates me is the strip sack fumble late in the 4th. Odunze was wide open for a big gain at a minimum and that's who CW was targeting just before getting hit. This OL is just the gift that keeps on giving. Seemed kind of odd to kickoff and not attempt an onside kick with 2:01 left. Of course, the Colts handed the Bears a TO by not returning the kick.

I've read his buyout is a little over $12M, which isn't much of a financial contstraint. I agree 100% with your last sentence. Personally, I can't picture Purdue's AD being willing to publically admit he made a bad hire and needs to cut ties before it sets the program further back. Maybe after year 3 I could see it, but after year 2 seems too agressive for a program like Purdue. I would have more respect for the AD in this situation to pull the plug after year 2.

IMO, that's tacky on the Colts. They're playing in a taxpayer funded stadium with a sweetherad deal on rent/revenue. You can't criticize the season ticket holders for taking advantage of a good resale market. I was in LOS yesterday. There were A LOT of Bears fans in attendance. Seemed like somewhere around 40-50% Bears fans.

Why did Walters bring Harrell back as OC? Walters needs to be fired after the season assuming there is no turnaround happening this year. He's reaching Hazell levels of incompetence. Bad investement.

Good question. Unless I missed something, I don't recall there every being issues with his character at Bowling Green or Utah.

I'm sure a lot of the Subway alums who truly only care about ND winning at an Elite level and not the actual reputation of the school would be in favor of Urban going to South Bend. Do you strongly feel those actually inside the picture (Alumni such as yourself, Boosters, ND leadership, etc.) wouldn't touch Urban with a 10 foot pool?
