  1. McKim seems to have resurrecting RDP in just 1 season. Good to see! I was thinking Hanover Central had taken over that area and couldn't have been more wrong.
  2. Illinois is very hard to schedule with them starting a week later. The elite conferences in the Chicago area typically only have 2 openings for OOC play.
  3. Seems like he would have been better off to stay at Penn and the hype surrounding Elkhart's portal prowess was premature once again.
  4. Is Bardo playing yet for Elkhart? A lot of good story lines in this one. Elkhart continues to garner attention in the offseason for the portal achievements and are often talked about as a program on the verge of leveling up. Good chance for Penn to remind Elkhart who owns Michiana.
  5. Are you referring to urban areas like Hammond/East Chicago or small towns in the middle of corn country? I haven't looked up a school like Delphi, but I could see them as well with that massive meat packing plant.
  6. I would guess by a lot and I would also guess that more have relocated to the donut of Indy due to inflated property values and taxes in Illinois.
  7. Completely understand. Feel the same way about Portage.
  8. Other than Marsh retiring, what do you think has caused such a dramatic change in Munster? Demographic shift? Chicago Catholic League raiding football talent? Football no longer an importance? I am surprised Munster can't remain competitive with a majority of their Lake County counterparts.
  9. I hate to give credit to DT, but he could have been right about his Ridge Road rival. It's possible Munster's program was driven into the ground by letting a coaching legend stay on too long. Or, the end of the Marsh era showed that Munster was just not going to produce enough talent anymore for a good football program and he salvaged what he could with a lot of .500'ish seasons and no Sectional Titles.
  10. Lake Central is one of the biggest underachievers there is in Indiana HS football. No doubt about it.
  11. Frankfort has over a 50% hispanic enrollment the last time I looked, which is absolutely crazy for a small town.
  12. Oh geez. I have You Tube TV and never even think about picking up red zone. I hear there are now since ESPN is involved. How does that work this year?
  13. Nice. It appears Braxton was benched in the 2nd quarter and wasn't injured. Did Trapilo switch over to LT? I couldn't watch this week. The Indy CBS station went with Chiefs/Ravens and I was too busy to make it out to a pro Bears bar.
  14. I love what Byard said to the team in terms of changing the culture.
  15. And it's possible the Bears will come close to or outnumber Raiders fans in Vegas.
  16. Love the intensity this guy has!
  17. Great atmosphere. Complete domination by IU. I read last week that Mendoza could be the top QB prospect in the draft. He looks the part.
  18. Johnson called out Jones to the media on Thursday or Friday. He was asked how he felt about Jones, paused, essentially said that Jones preps well, starts well, and fades away in the 2nd half and that has to change. Seems like the door is open for Ozzie to take the job if he can adjust from playing RT at BC to LT in the NFL.
  19. Exactly. I had zero interest in listening to Flus' pressers. Just vanilla answers that never really go the point or gave you an idea of how Trus was handling the situation. Johnson is a breath of fresh air. I look forward to watching this team improve throughout the year. I do wonder who he was calling out on offense for they way they play when the play isn't going their way. My money would be on Moore.
  20. That's really surprising!!! The penalties create a negative perception, at least for me they did. Going back to Poles, does it not bother you that he hasn't drafted a single Pro Bowl player? I'm not throwing the towel in, but it doesn't feel like we currently have one of the better GM's in the league. Still penty of time left on the clock though for him to build a winner in Chicago with the extension.
  21. The times have certainly changed. I was at Purdue from '97 to '01 and knew a decent amount of Geist area kids who went to LC. I'm guessing nowadays it's those neighborhoods who are now going out of district to Mt. Vernon unless they go to Chatard / Cathedral.
  22. Then throw in Ralph was an All ACC OL at North Carolina and clearly knows how to build a dominating OL.
  23. C'mon Coach, how many NFL GM's draft a Punter in the 4th round when they have many more pressing needs on the DL and OL? I'm all for waiting and seeing how this turns out and I'm still positive, but criticizing Poles is certainly fair game. He's had a lot of misses in the draft and in free agency. Unfortunately, key defensive injuries are starting to pileup and Johnson is possibly now out for the year. It's going to be hard for Allen to run his scheme when going man in the secondary will be tough to do.
