  1. Absolutely. Santa is off limits. And them cheering Irvin's neck injury. And the 2 guys from Philly who I was friends with at Purdue. Oh, did you recently see the video that went viral of the Eagles fan harassing a female Packers fan? In my head that's how all Philly fans are. Seems like they take pride in being the worst.
  2. I wanted the Bills to win, but I hated see the game end like that. Would have been fun to see Allen lead a game winning drive or to see OT. My prefered list of Super Bowl winners: Buffalo Washington Kansas City Philly Very, very rare I'll pull for a professional Philly sport team.
  3. Daniel's is a solid QB. And as you said a replacement in ownership brought in a good HC and a good OC. Daniel's also has a solid OL blocking for him. Caleb played behind a garbage OL, had an OC who grossly overcomplicated the offense for a rookie QB and then another OC who didn't change the offense. To try comparing the 2 at this point is about as pointless as when people compared RG3 to Luck after their rookie years. They're both very good QB's and have a lot of ball left to be played. Ironically, that same HC is who the Bears infamously flew middle seat coach to Chicago when he was up against 'Flus for the job.
  4. Dare I saw Kingsbury has a lot of Wade Phillip in him? i.e. Great as a Coordinator. Not great as a HC. I am definately intrigued by Brady and Monken. Monken is a "Chicago" guy as well. He's from Wheaton.
  5. I heard a brief clip of him talking about the NFL on someone's podcast (possibly RG3). He didn't sound like someone interested in the NFL. Mentioned he only spent 1 year in that world and what he knows is College ball. I'm assuming money will never be an issue at Notre Dame, but you never know when a coach will grow tired of NIL + Portal + Recruiting and decide to embrace the challenge of the NFL.
  6. Meh. I'm sure he'll be good. Just not believing he would be "wow" good. High winning percentage and high amount of 10+ win seasons. Everything I'm hearing from the talking heads indicates he's a perfect fit based on the following: Demands accountability in the locker room while still being an easy guy to get a long with Players love him Works well with QB's and helping them understand the right reads pre-snap (i.e. get ball out quick) Plays nice with ownership It seems like he is the safe pick for Poles. Personally, I prefer to go the unknown route with someone like Ben Johnson and hope you have the next McVeigh. That's if Johnson wanted the job.
  7. Good point. I forgot the downfall of the Big 8 started with Illinois briefly deciding to go to a District format and Mt. Carmel bolted.
  8. PAC big school division seems more desireable than the WIC.
  9. Yep. I have a feeling they're wishing they would have tried salvaging the Big 8 post Jasper.
  10. I kow it'll never happen due to the longevity of the South Lake County rivalry game, but they need to drop Lowell. Regarding the Pike game, Crown Point is losing a lot talent from this year. Including a 4 year ( 2 at Hobart) starter at QB who is going to the MAC. We really don't know what Crown Point will look like next year. Regardless of who was actually avaialable to schedule around Indy in Week 2, playing Pike might be a better start to the season with an in-experienced group as opposed to going straight into the lions den with a Central Indiana power that just reloads every year.
  11. OH-IO!
  12. I cringed last night. I hate Notre Dame. Hard not to like Freeman, Kiser and this team though. They're tough. Freeman as an NFL coach is starting to grow on me. He's a professional.
  13. Really? What do you like about Campbell as a NFL HC? I'm slightly concerned Vegas fired their GM. Granted they have no talent for Ben Johnson; however, Vegas could be appealing to Johnson if he can bring in his preferred choice of a personnel guy. I get what you're saying regarding the secrecy of Pole's contract. But, him only having 1 year left (if that truely is the case) has to be a negative for a potential HC.
  14. Sharing your beliefs on building culture for "free."
  15. Thanks. I wasn't aware there was a feud between McAfee and the Colts. Which then leads to the question are there people inside the locker room who are fed up with the culture and are leaking info to McAfee? I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. I doubt Pat is just making stuff up for the sake of creating drama.
  16. I don't think it's that deep. And maybe it's possible he is getting something out of it: a test run before interviewing with Kraft or possibly with Brady in Vegas. What do you think about Warren? He dodges every question with meat like a true politician. His response when asked by about Poles only having 1 year left on his contract was ridiculous.
  17. Why would you turn down a chance to hear his opinions on how to build culture? Definitely not a waste of time to gather intel from someone who most consider to be a leader of men.
  18. I don't watch a lot of Colts games and don't follow the local media. I mainly focus on the nightmare in Chicago. Two questions from an outsider. 1. Would the Colts have made the playoffs with a better QB situation than AR / Flacco? 2. Did Irsay force Ballard to draft AR?
  19. Per Schefter on Chicago radio yesterday, the McCaskey's prefer Poles is given free reign on who to hire. Most, I included, assumed Warren marked his territory in December and was running point on the hiring process. This would eliminate the idea of pairing a new HC and a new GM together if Schefter is correct. Not sure how that would impact the decision of someone like Ben Johnson.
  20. Not the biggest fan of this. But, at least a professional who knows how to win will be in the room.
  21. How are the wings at Buffalouies? I keep thinking I want to try Buffalouies every time I'm there, but I never actually make in it. My wife and daughter always want to go to Mother Bears.
  22. Is there any data published that breaks down how much ND loses/gains by dropping their lucrative NBC Deal to join the B1G?
  23. Not sure how credible McNeil is though I'm sure he has his sources with how long he's been in Chicago.
  24. Great play by Flus' #1 hater (Jaylon Johnson) here on the TD run by the RB from Avon...
