Vincennes leaving SIAC?

Yep. I have a feeling they're wishing they would have tried salvaging the Big 8 post Jasper. -
Crown Point Playing in Indy 2025
Boilernation replied to Bash Riprock's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I kow it'll never happen due to the longevity of the South Lake County rivalry game, but they need to drop Lowell. Regarding the Pike game, Crown Point is losing a lot talent from this year. Including a 4 year ( 2 at Hobart) starter at QB who is going to the MAC. We really don't know what Crown Point will look like next year. Regardless of who was actually avaialable to schedule around Indy in Week 2, playing Pike might be a better start to the season with an in-experienced group as opposed to going straight into the lions den with a Central Indiana power that just reloads every year. -
OH-IO!

I cringed last night. I hate Notre Dame. Hard not to like Freeman, Kiser and this team though. They're tough. Freeman as an NFL coach is starting to grow on me. He's a professional.

Really? What do you like about Campbell as a NFL HC? I'm slightly concerned Vegas fired their GM. Granted they have no talent for Ben Johnson; however, Vegas could be appealing to Johnson if he can bring in his preferred choice of a personnel guy. I get what you're saying regarding the secrecy of Pole's contract. But, him only having 1 year left (if that truely is the case) has to be a negative for a potential HC.

Sharing your beliefs on building culture for "free."

Thanks. I wasn't aware there was a feud between McAfee and the Colts. Which then leads to the question are there people inside the locker room who are fed up with the culture and are leaking info to McAfee? I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. I doubt Pat is just making stuff up for the sake of creating drama.

I don't think it's that deep. And maybe it's possible he is getting something out of it: a test run before interviewing with Kraft or possibly with Brady in Vegas. What do you think about Warren? He dodges every question with meat like a true politician. His response when asked by about Poles only having 1 year left on his contract was ridiculous.
-
Why would you turn down a chance to hear his opinions on how to build culture? Definitely not a waste of time to gather intel from someone who most consider to be a leader of men.

I don't watch a lot of Colts games and don't follow the local media. I mainly focus on the nightmare in Chicago. Two questions from an outsider. 1. Would the Colts have made the playoffs with a better QB situation than AR / Flacco? 2. Did Irsay force Ballard to draft AR?

Per Schefter on Chicago radio yesterday, the McCaskey's prefer Poles is given free reign on who to hire. Most, I included, assumed Warren marked his territory in December and was running point on the hiring process. This would eliminate the idea of pairing a new HC and a new GM together if Schefter is correct. Not sure how that would impact the decision of someone like Ben Johnson.

Not the biggest fan of this. But, at least a professional who knows how to win will be in the room.

How are the wings at Buffalouies? I keep thinking I want to try Buffalouies every time I'm there, but I never actually make in it. My wife and daughter always want to go to Mother Bears.

Is there any data published that breaks down how much ND loses/gains by dropping their lucrative NBC Deal to join the B1G?
-
Not sure how credible McNeil is though I'm sure he has his sources with how long he's been in Chicago.

Great play by Flus' #1 hater (Jaylon Johnson) here on the TD run by the RB from Avon...
-
Yep. He'll get picked up quickly in the offseason and be just fine.
-
THIS!!! Some of the ego's on the D had the loudest voices in the locker room when it came to knocking Flus and they give up over 300 yards of offense in the 1st half!!! LOL. Williams has now been sacked 56 times this season. The closest to that number is Stroud at 41.

Carmel Job open
Boilernation replied to Footballking16's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I believe Frankfort HS is 57% Hispanic, which is a completely crazy stat for a rural Indiana town. I'm not surprised baskeball and football are struggling there. -
Carmel Job open

I don't think there's much left to be developed in The Eagle Township portion of Whitestown unless the owners of the horse farms off of Hunt Club road start selling to developers. There are some wooded areas north of ZWest MS that probably can't be developed due to wetlands. The only new developments in the southern portion of Whitestown that I can think of would be going up around the Golf Club of Indiana and that's within Lebanon's district. The neighborhoods with entrances directly on Indianapolis Road are the only neighborhoods west of 65 that feed into Zionsville. The NW portion of Eagle Township that is within Zionsville limits is still getting developed and has one very large development planned. It'll be something similiar to the Village of West Clay in Carmel. I haven't seen any studies regarding expected future enrollment numbers, but I would agree that the recently developed areas in Whitestown will start pushing Zionsville's enrollment up at some point. -
I'm on the fence regarding Vrabel. I think he would immediately change the culture and take control of the locker room. A group of players, lead by Johnson and Brisker, just learned they can't their way if they squawk enough. But, like you alluded to, pair CW with a good OC and then the OC is likely leaving for a HC job. Great point on Johnson. I would say in comparison to Nagy he's actually calling the plays whereas Nagy wasn't with Reid. But, can Johnson take control of an entire team and look good without Detroits OL? Johnson is also reportedly very selective about who he would leave Detroit for. Maybe he's aware of some weaknesses that would get exposed in Chicago. Love Brady for his resume. No idea if the guy could actually lead as a HC. Out of the list above I'd be contect with either of them. Though I think Warren marked his territory in that presser and made it clear that he's running the show with Poles providing input. From what I've heard from Chicago media guys is that Warren commands attention in every room he's in. I have a feeling he's going to go the route of hiring someone like himself, which would point to a Vrabel or Flores type of guy. Honestly, the more I hear from Warren the more I feel like he sounds like a politician. He should stick to trying to build a new stadium and let Poles do his job as GM.

HOLD ON!!!! Did you just refer to CW as elite? You've come a long way, Bob.

That top bracket with Penn State, Arizona State and Boise State just seems......wrong. Oregon, Texas and SMU would all likely have a tougher game than Boise will get. Agree on Alabama. I don't think Miami's resume is the greatest, but Bama's loss to Oklahoma is a major blemish. Any of you guys seen SMU play? I haven't. No idea if they're legitimately good or feasted on a weak schedule.

2023 Purdue Boilermakers/2024 Purdue/ 2025 Purdue/2026 Purdue
Boilernation replied to PHJIrish's topic in The Next Level
Sumrall and Helton are both Southern boys with no background of coaching in the Midwest. I like both of them, but I would be shocked if they actually took the job.
