  1. Agree with point 1. Would Michigan players ever let OSU plant a flag in AnnArbor regardless of how they acted leading up to the game?
  2. I doubt we could find it documented. Seems moreso hearsay from Chicago radio and former players who go on Chicago radio that the McCaskeys don’t want an alpha coach.
  3. Why put a blemish on your resume for an owner who holds you accountable for results while tying one hand behind your back? The next hire has to be 100% Poles’ choice. It’s his job as GM.
  4. LOL. Yeah, that’s trashy. Still don’t think Ohio State players should just let the Michigan players plant TWO Michigan flags in the middle of the O. Would Michigan players allow the same in Ann Arbor?
  5. Victory Lap. And it was just me. Not multiple guys. And you continue to miss my point. Sack up and actually tell a coach from Crown Point, Penn, Carroll, etc while reffing one of their games that they’re just playing for a red ribbon. Nobody is disputing that is how history has played. You condescendingly said they shouldn’t actually believe they have a chance. Nothing will change for Crown Point or Carroll’s of 6A North if they just accept your defeatist attitude.
  6. Seriously? YOU suggested all young men playing 6A ball North of 24 should accept the fact they’re playing for participation trophy’s, doubled down on the take, and then made a victory lap post after Crown Point lost. Glass houses.
  7. Supposedly Poles wanted to fire Flus after the New England game and couldn’t get approval. He should walk if he can’t hire HIS guy and doesn’t just have to placate to George and Kevin.
  8. Can't fault Ohio State, imo. They can't let Michigan try to plant their flag in the O.
  9. Will Ryan Day be told "We're Ohio State" and don't tolerate multiple losses to Michigan when he's fired?
  10. Part of me wants a solid offensive mind that can be linked with CW for his career, but then a part of me thinks the only answer is someone like Vrabel. We all know he'll come in and hold everyone accountable as well as create a culture similiar to the HC in Detroit. And Poles should be given the approval to hire someone like Vrabel or he should walk. Harbaugh was probably not a realistic option last year due to his feud with Warren. The rumors have long been the McCaskey's don't want another Ditka and would rather have a "yes man" as HC.
  11. Haha! My favorite scene from that epidose is when George interviews with Steinbrenner and unloads on him. I hope Poles had the some convo with McCaskey. I truly hope Poles has been handcuffed all along by Warren and/or McCaskey. I listened to Flus' 9AM presser yesterday and couldn't believe he was having to answer those questions regarding his future while McCaskey, Warren and Poles were in discussions to fire him. What a complete disgrace of an organization to let Flus go through with his normal 9 AM zoom when they knew they would be having a meeting to determine his future that same morning.
  12. Is that X handle reputable? I wouldn't mind pairing CW with one of the main minds to mold Burrow at LSU. Not sure if he has the chops to lead an entire team of men and not just the Offense. But, someone who could, Vrabel, is likely too much of an Alpha Male for the McCaskey's to handle.
  13. It appears Heritage Hills has much larger lines on both sides of the ball than Luers while comparing the 2 deeps and rosters posted in the Finals Preview.
  14. CW with the 3rd highest QBR against the Flores D this year + another L for Flus = progress.
  15. Understood. I hope he stays in West Lafayette. Wouldn't blame him one bit for hitting the portal and finding a better opportunity.
  16. Kudos to you @PHJIrish. I can't stomach watching this team play and havne't tuned in for weeks.
  17. Yeah, and based on location of downtown Indy, Center Grove is closer to Monument Circle mileage wise than Brownsburg HS and Westfield HS.
  18. Crown Point also stopped at Purdue for a walk thru on their practice field. Not saying that played a factor at all because it didn’t. I just find it interesting that teams with long trips choose to play on Friday night.
  19. Not enough juice. Only a few of those schools have the enrollment and talent to even think about competing with the HCC, Cathedral, CG, Ben Davis, Warren, etc. And they'll still be at a sizeable talent mismatch when actually on the field against one of the aformentioned teams.
  20. This one broke me. I so badly want a DAC team to break through in 6A. Truly demoralizing that one of the most talented and well coached teams the DAC has put out in YEARS was thoroughly dominated. Oh well, at least my new conference and the one where I spend most of my Friday nights will be taking center stage at LOS. Not that it really mattered one bit and it was just a run on joke about teams taking yellow busses across the state in 2024, but I saw another post that had a picture on the inside. They have chartered bus seating in them.
  21. Yikes. Total domination by Westfield DL. I love the HCC. I hate what it does to my also beloved DAC.
  22. Looks like Crown Point had their own chartered busses and did not take the Indian Express. I drove by Riverview Health about 30 minutes ago. Lights are on. Field looks perfect. Go ‘Dogs!!
  23. Valpo and Chesterton don't have Westfield's lines. IF Crown Point can win I would be shocked if the margin was more than 7 points. Heart says Crown Point. Brain says Westfield by 3. I have a feeling both teams will burn a lot of clock on the ground and keep the score somewhat low. Go 'Dogs!
  24. LOL. Very true. I can understand being bullish on this years Crown Point team; however, he's gauranteeing something will happen that hasn't happened since 1977 (A DAC team winning the largest class in Football). Tomorrow night should be interesting. I drove by Riverview Health Stadium earlier this morning on 31. It's covered in snow and we should be getting more snow this afternoon. I'm guessing Westfield or Mother Nature will have the field cleared by kickoff, but the conditions may not be great for offensive football. We could be looking at a 17-14 type of game where the team who killed the most clock running the ball will win.
  25. Oh, the irony of this coming from someone who represents the state of Alabama in DC and used to coach at Auburn. You know, the same Auburn that very likely bought themselves a National Title if you believe the smoke surrounding them landing Cam Newton. Like you said, if anything, NIL has made life easier for the SEC. I remember heearing a story Ross Dellinger told on a podcast after he attended an Ole Miss NIL collective gathering last year. Multiple attendees were confused and asked if they were actually allowed to pay players now and didnd't have continue keeping it under the table.
