    I'm going to say this again! Alabama doesn't deserve to even be in consideration after losing to Vanderbilt, 40-34 and a weak Oklahoma team 24-3! It'll be a shame if they are included, and I don't want to hear about the SEC and their exclusivity!

    Colts score a 4th down TD with 12 seconds left, and then go for two, and Richardson runs over the Pats for a 25-24 win. It was two, not so good, teams playing a decent game.

    Coach Freeman is only finishing his third year of Head Coaching. I think he knows he's not ready to consider a move "upward." I think he's quite happy now at Notre Dame, and he's doing a fine job, chasing after 18 years olds, and coaching them up once their under his tutelage.

    The defense played a lot at the end of the game. The two pick sixes put 'em back on the field in quick fashion. They also had a lot of injured players and some that played with injuries, so yes, the time off will really help that situation. Also, USC seemed to have an awfully good game plan against the Irish. They didn't run the same play twice very often. Anyway, the Irish won and are in!

    IU did what they thought they had to do. To paraphrase Jimmy Johnson, God I hate to, after a 58-7 thrashing of Notre Dame, "if you don't like us scoring, stop us."

    No surprise that Coach Walters got fired. You could see it coming when Notre Dame put 66 on 'em in the early season. IU's 66 point just put the exclamation point on the situation. He was totally overmatched in that capacity.

    IU is hammering Purdue, 52-0, early in the 4th quarter. So it's time to get to bed. It's been a good long day.

    I checked an alternate source, and Decatur Central is up 31-17 with about 4 minutes left in the game. I hope someone has a further update.

    The Hoosiers are up 45-0 near the end of the 3rd quarter. It looks like the state of Indiana will have two teams in the 12 team playoff.

    Honestly, I'm not sure the Boilers would win many games in 6A. That's one bad football team!

    The Irish had two of the longest pick sixes I've ever seen in one game. The first on was for 99 yards and the second was for 100+ yards. The Irish won, BTW, 49-35. USC scored a late TD for the final count.

    That's your opinion. I stand by my post. Maybe you need to reread it. In no way did I say that Doyel was infallible.

    You are correct and uncorrect! Kyle is a beat writer and Doyel is a columnist. You may not agree with everything that Doyel has to say, but you'd have to admit he's not afraid to take on the hard story and try to find the truth. His take on the Cathedral situation was a prime example of that. He actually delved into the situation and made his call. That's what a columnist does.

    This is not an ideal situation at all. It should be the 12 best teams in the nation and not be complicated with conference standings. But that's just my two cents.

    Georgia wins 44-42 in 8 overtimes.

    Georgia Tech drove almost the length of the field, from their own 4 yard line to inside the 10 and settled for a field goal. They are up 20-6. That drive ate up a lot of time!
