  1. Mark Zachary is this old fan's choice. And he'll be Irish next season.
  2. 👍
  3. Arizona State whips up on Iowa State, 45-19, and they will be joining in the CFP.

Some people aren't taking into consideration that the Hoosiers were losing to the same teams they were waxing this season, in the near past. It was just last year that they lost to Purdue, for example. This is a huge turnaround no matter who was on the schedule and Coach Cignetti must get credit for that. He actually helped put fans in the stands!
  5. Jaron has received offers from Wake Forest, Minnesota, Georgia Tech and Louisville so far, among others. He's also open to return to Purdue if he's comfortable with the new coaching regime.
  6. Not always!
  7. In other words, some team is going to be SOL because of "brand." I understand, but times they are a changin.!

    Nice post!
  10. Like!!! How about losing 24-3 to a pitiful Oklahoma team?
  11. Since we're throwin' around of names for the next Boilermaker's coach, how about Urban Meyer. He's about due to get the coaching itch again and maybe he'd like to build a program from scratch. Just a thought.
  12. Oh , I agree with money and eyeballs on TV have a lot to do with "Bama being on the cusp.
  13. How about three losses, two of them to weak teams!
  14. Cathedral beat Bishop Chatard 31-7, at BC. New Pal also beat Bishop Chatard but had to scuffle to do so. 6A is a tough go. Oh, and we'll get to see the New Pal prowess in 5A next year. I'm sure they'll be their normal best, but Cathedral has a lot of good players returning. We shall see.
  15. I'm going to say this again! Alabama doesn't deserve to even be in consideration after losing to Vanderbilt, 40-34 and a weak Oklahoma team 24-3! It'll be a shame if they are included, and I don't want to hear about the SEC and their exclusivity!
  16. Oh, he's not being tic! That's the whole idea of the "success factor" to penalize Private Schools that win too much.
  17. Colts score a 4th down TD with 12 seconds left, and then go for two, and Richardson runs over the Pats for a 25-24 win. It was two, not so good, teams playing a decent game.
  18. Coach Freeman is only finishing his third year of Head Coaching. I think he knows he's not ready to consider a move "upward." I think he's quite happy now at Notre Dame, and he's doing a fine job, chasing after 18 years olds, and coaching them up once their under his tutelage.
  19. I believe someone is just throwing excrement at the wall in this article. Why would Marcus Freeman leave Notre Dame, a team on the rise, for a chance for a big check in the circus. Marcus Freeman Named as Potential Chicago Bears Head Coaching Candidate
  20. The defense played a lot at the end of the game. The two pick sixes put 'em back on the field in quick fashion. They also had a lot of injured players and some that played with injuries, so yes, the time off will really help that situation. Also, USC seemed to have an awfully good game plan against the Irish. They didn't run the same play twice very often. Anyway, the Irish won and are in!

IU did what they thought they had to do. To paraphrase Jimmy Johnson, God I hate to, after a 58-7 thrashing of Notre Dame, "if you don't like us scoring, stop us."
  22. No surprise that Coach Walters got fired. You could see it coming when Notre Dame put 66 on 'em in the early season. IU's 66 point just put the exclamation point on the situation. He was totally overmatched in that capacity.
  23. Don't bring Jason into the conversation. He's in a different situation at Cathedral. And I'm proud to be a "you guy!"
