  1. I was born July 3rd, 1943, so yes I'm 81 years old, not that it really matters except I've seen a lot in those years, some I can still remember.
  2. This was played at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati at the Holiday Hardwood Classic. I was unable to find a live stream so I have not stats except the final score, and the Player of the Game was Cathedral's Julien Smith.
  3. Racism seems to be rearing its ugly head. It's a shame!😒
  4. If I had a vote, it would have gone to Jim Brown, hands down. He was dominant, and his domination continued in his somewhat short NFL career. He wasn't a terrible actor either. I have always been a Notre Dame fan, but Paul Hornung was not the best player that year. You have to remember the time. 1956 was still quite eventful for people of color.

  6. I lived the 1950's and I know some things. Most folks of that era remember the "whites only" signs and the open hostility to those who were different. When I was in the US Army, one of my best friends was an African American and we were thrown out of a lot of places because of his color, and that was in the late 1960's Oh, he was a technical advisor for CBS News, but it just didn't matter in Louisville, KY. It lasted for a long time.
  7. JT Whitaker is the new head football coach at Warren Central. IHSAA football: Warren Central hires Brownsburg OC JT Whitaker as coach
  8. Obviously, it didn't matter to Purdue.
  9. Navy 21, Oklahoma 20 final! I've really enjoyed some of the bowl games this year. Not all are action packed, but some are just a lot of fun to watch.
  10. He's loyal, that's for sure!
  11. I sure can't disagree with that!

  13. I am watching the hilarious Paul Finebaum Show now. He and his minions are still whining about 'Bama being left out, but they don't have a lot to say ab out the inclusion of Tennessee and it's absolute sad showing. I watch Finebaum when I want a laugh. He provides hours of empty SEC babble. I don't understand his lofty standing in the SEC world. Oh and he has a true hatred, yes hatred for Notre Dame, along with almost any school north of the Mason/Dixon line.
  14. That's devastating for that young man! He's an outstanding player! I heard that news during Coach Marcus Freeman's press conference today.
  15. I'm 81 years old and I remember many players of color not receiving their just do just because of their skin color. It's history! The first player of color to win the Heisman, for example, was the great Ernie Davis from Syracuse in 1961. I lived through the era of racial divide. I know all about it. BTW, I was blest to have seen Ernie Davis play for the Orangemen at Notre Dame in 1961, and I can attest that he deserved the award! He was dynamite, and it's a shame that he died soon after from cancer.
  16. Despite their efforts to lose this game, the Colts hang on for a 38-30 win. They had a 38-7 lead halfway through the 3rd quarter and decided the game was over. They were lucky!
  17. Colts up 38-15 after three! Yeah, it's only Tennessee but they're playing at a high level for a change. Taylor has run for a bunch today. And he's held onto the ball!
  18. You must be a young person. It was common in the 1950's to bypass players of color for major awards. Just a sign of the times.
  19. Jonathon Taylor just ran for a long TD, and he held onto the ball past all the way!😉
  20. I enjoyed both night games. One is of course I'm a Notre Dame fan, and the other because the SEC lovers can eat whatever. I can't wait to hear Finebaum's excuse for the Vols! IU gave tOSU a much better game than the Volunteers!
  21. tOSU is now up 35 -10, early in the 4th quarter. And they're driving for more.

Thanks for being so prompt to reply. You seem to not like almost every team.

It seems you don't think too highly of Notre Dame.
