  1. It hard to believe that Cathedral would be favored against Bishop Chatard! The Irish have had serious offensive problems in their first three games. Oh well, it's always a good one, and this will be at Butler.
  2. The Irish have the same record that they had last year at this point, 1-2, but they have scored on TD and two field goals so far total in the 3 games. No passing offense at all. It didn't help that TE Own Peterson was injured in the Brownsburg game, and he's probably done for the year. He was the only Irish to score a TD. With a 2nd year QB, Cameron Koers, two returning running backs and a more experienced OL, you would think they could score some. It seems the receivers have a difficult time getting open, and then when open, they have trouble catching the ball. I look for that to improve. Of course, the schedule hasn't been too kind either. What happened to playing an easier opening game to get momentum going? Bishop Chatard won't be an easy opponent this week wither.
  3. Notre Dame needs to play seriously in both halves, not just the 2nd one! Maybe they took the 'Canes a bit lightly. Oh well, on to the home opener with Texas A&M. I just listened to Coach Freeman's presser and he didn't back down from the fact that they have to play 60 and not 30 minutes.
  4. The Colts just need to replicate yesterday's game, 16 more times! Nothing much to dislike about that game!
  5. Wait a minute! Am I having my normal late day hallucinations, or are we back?
  6. Quite comprehensive! Lookin' forward to the season starting!
  7. The Colts just named Daniel Jones the week one QB starter.
  8. I guess it's a done deal! It's good to get back!
  9. It's good to be back! Friday it all begins again!🙂
  10. It's almost here! Our beloved game is only a few weeks away now! It can't wait!
  11. It's amazing that it took Dave Parker this long to be included in the HOF! He was an outstanding player for years.
  12. Mark Zackery looked mighty good with the Indiana basketball All Stars Saturday night. Maybe he can do the double for the Irish.
  13. Game three of the NBA finals, downtown Indianapolis, IN! A lot of folks have jumped off the bandwagon, but we'll know a lot more after Wednesday night. It's been a long while since the Pacers have lost two in a row, and hopefully that's an omen for tomorrow. The Cubs are still up 4 over the Cardinals, even after losing a three game series in Detroit. Some nights they hit the ball, and some nights they don't Pitching has been quite steady lately, even after some injury problems. Also, high school football season begins the month after next!😊 I hope all are doing well. I'm gearing up for my 82nd birthday next month, and hoping to make a trip to Stoll's Lakeview for some blackberry cobbler!
  14. The Pacers sure are fun to watch! And you don't ever give up on 'em!
  15. Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay dies at 65 - ESPN
  16. I don't know if it's more severe, but it is coming more often.
  17. I hope all have survived this vicious storm and with no loss of property. It was a big one!!!
  18. I truly appreciate that!
  19. Nah, you're a lifetime coach! I think my time has run out. I hope to see everyone in August, the Good Lord willin'!
  20. GOOD!
  21. Well, I hope Brownsburg gets softened up a bit for week two.😉
  22. I always remember the remark by Duane Thomas of the Dallas Cowboys, many years ago. "If this is the "ultimate game" why are they playing it again next year." Not a direct quote, but close enough. The SB has become another overblown event, imho.
  23. The better team won and if I had a vote for MVP it would go to the Eagles defense. They were outstanding all night. The one stat that the entire TV crew didn't mention, or mention much, was the Chiefs had only one first down the entire first half! But, of course, the MVP normally goes to the winning QB, and Jalen Hurts was equally outstanding. It was no fluke, as the Eagles scored 95 points in their last two games, and you're not going to lose much scoring 47.5 ppg. Halftime was mediocre, and the commercials were not the quality of days past.
  24. Has the Super Bowl pre-game started yet?
