  1. It was rather small. It was on the west side of the parking lot. Most Irish fans didn't arrive until late because of the bad weather, I presume. There was also a gathering at a local bar in the area. You know I always have fun!😊
  2. The Irish didn't play their best, too many penalties and too many turnovers. New Pal had a lot to do with the latter. It was a hard hitting game. I hope that Seth Mencer isn't hurt too badly, as he limped off the field in the 4th quarter after a good night. He must've gained more than 100 yards tonight. I'm still amazed that New Albany beat Bloomington South. Now the Irish will have another home game next week. I presume it will be at Tech. I heard nothing official. Purdue basketball kept the Irish off the over the air broadcast, so there was no Irish post game show.
  3. I still have one. What do you mean, back when? I'll be there early and I hope to see a lot of Irish fans at the tailgate and the game!
  4. No autographs but some good wisdom. Not a bad call on the field the entire game.
  5. I had the distinct pleasure of sitting with Bobref during a St. Eddie/Cathedral game a few years back. Good company!
  6. That sounds like you're describing a certain head coach from Iowa,. Ferentz fits all the description in your 2nd and 3rd sentence.
  7. Tickets are bought and ready to go Friday night!😊
  8. My cardiologist told me if I didn't stop drinking, I was gonna die. Not a tough choice there. I was told to give up caffeine too, and that was tougher than alcohol to quit.
  9. I haven't had a drink in 21 years, but before that, yeah, I had my moments.😉
  10. In John Harrell's predictions, this game is listed to be played at Arlington. This game will be played at Arsenal Technical High School.
  11. Someone has to input information to the computer, so it's not infallible. I enjoy reading the rankings, but I don't take them too seriously, especially this time of the year.
  12. Besides Georgia, it's a toss up. IMO, the Irish aren't playoff worthy this season.
  13. I've been there, done that!
  14. All ratings systems are fun to look at and try to digest. And they are fine for starting a conversation.
  15. Coan is just not mobile! He's a statue at times, critical times. He does seem more like a game manager. There are two QB's on the sideline with more athletic ability and eventually more upside. The future looks good! That was the best defensive effort against the Navy in the years I've watched the series. it was stifling.
  16. It' hard to believe KC has regressed as far as they have. They were almost unbeatable two years ago.
  17. After yesterday the Irish may be a top 10 ten, but that's not saying much this season. I don't believe they're a playoff team by any means, but I still hope they can win out and get a nice warm bowl game somewhere nice. Again, yesterday proves that anyone can win on a given day. That's why they play the games. And Georgia seems to be the only legitimate contender thus far this year. Not sure 'Bama could handle them the way they're playing now. As we've seen though, that could change quickly.
  18. ?
  19. Spoilermakers 40, #3 Michigan State 29. Lee Corso is probably having another shot of Metamucil because he predicted this.
  20. Purdue 37, Michigan State (#3) 27. There is still 5 minutes left in this game however.
  21. I hope all stayed tune for the dual alma maters. That's what this series is all about, genuine respect.
  22. Honestly, there's no need for Sagarin once the playoffs begin. On the field is the rating system now.
  23. A couple of other plays that come to my old mind. I could not believe that 6'5" 260lb. DE Kendrick Gilbert made a tackle 10+ yards downfield. I can see why he's getting many D1 offers. I'm also glad that he's only a junior and will be back to anchor the defense next year. It seemed strange that the Irish scored no points on the four turnovers I don't know if that has ever happened but if it did it's been awhile. The DC defense was outstanding, in the first half, after the Irish took the opening kickoff down the field for a score.
  24. I'm sure Coach Peebs just looks at this game as another bump in the road. BTW, it will be played at Tech.
