  1. A South Bend Tribune view of the game: https://www.southbendtribune.com/sports/high_school/football/top-ranked-indianapolis-cathedral-too-much-for-penn/article_7b1dbdae-ee57-11ea-8f13-83a12f1c6c1e.html
  2. Well, I would have been there if I was able to receive the code. I guess suddenly I'm on the outside looking in. I'm hoping someone will be able to help myself and my buddy before long. This is the first time I've missed two games in a row, or two games in a season, since undergoing colon cancer surgery in 2007. I understand the circumstances but I just hope there's a couple of seats for us before long. It's tough not being there. I did watch the game on the net and it was another outstanding effort! Both sides of the ball played with Irish passion! Nate McCahill must be a leading candidate for Mr. Football now. Barring injury, to Nate or any other of his teammates, he should have a big time season. He's the real deal, as are other highly skilled offensive weapons. AMEN!
  3. One week at a time is all you can hope for this season. I'm lucky I got to attend the Westfield game because I didn't get chosen to go to Carmel. It was nice to watch on TV, but it's nothing like being there!
  4. Real good for Wood! He's the most experienced OL we have. I've gotten to know his dad too. Nice guy!
  5. TD Brownsburg. 30-24 final! It's the first Brownsburg lead of the game. Way to represent!
  6. I still believe that OT should start from at least the 15. Brownsburg with a pick.
  7. Tied at 24 with 32.9 left. Brownsburg recovers the KO. Bulldogs throw a pick on the first play. The play calling has not been good all night.
  8. Brownsburg gave it up again, down inside the 5 yard line. They have gained a lot of yards but no TD's.
  9. I'm watching this game, in fact I'm about 6 miles from it, and Brownsburg has no problem moving the ball, but the play calling in the red zone has not been good. ST. X just tries to wear you down. They have a lot of quality players on the sideline.
  10. Brownsburg is down to Cincinnati St. X 17-3 at halftime.
  11. Thank you! If you find out the JV score please pass it along. Oh, did the Freshman and JV teams play last week?
  12. If the Irish stay healthy they have incredible potential! This is the best I've seen an Irish offense play since the 1996 undefeated season. All the weapons are there and the play calling has been impeccable! And the defensive coaches seem to be able to make adjustments on the sideline. I think some of us don't realize just how young this team is too. They should get better. Let's hope we can continue to play and hopefully we can get back to some kind of normalcy soon. BTW, I go back to the mid 1950's and I don't remember the Irish scoring 100 points in their first two games. And it was against very good competition also. It should be fun at Penn next week. I sure hope I get to see it in person.
  13. Does anyone have the Cathedral Freshman and JV scores from last week and this week? I can't seem to fine them anywhere.
  14. The Irish have scored 100 points in the first two games against good 6A teams. If they stay healthy it could be a really good year. Next up, hopefully, the Irish will travel to Penn.
  15. Cathedral 44, Carmel 28 final
  16. Cathedral 44, Carmel 28 final Yep, I wish I could have been there! TV's nice but nothing like being at the game!
  17. Irish up 41-13 after 3.
  18. Cathedral 41, Carmel 13 end of 3
  19. Cathedral 20, Carmel 13 at halftime.
  20. This looks like it could be a track meet. Not much defense on either side yet.
