Two late Plainfield TD's has tightened the score.

Plainfield vs. Decatur Central is live on channel 23 in Indianapolis and also channel 81.

Actually watching the replay of the game does give one an advantage. I do believe that this case is closed however. I attended the game and watched the replay on tv. I was just telling Bob, who I consider a good friend, to not waste his time trying to defend the crew. Now let's put this one to rest!

No it was not. The only Cathedral game with a lot of penalties was the Bishop Chatard game and that was not the same crew either. I have seen all nine Cathedral games this year, including 3 in Cincinnati, and there was no problems with any personal fouls or unsportsmanlike conduct in any of them. I only complain when a complaint is due, and this time complaints are due.

Yeah, CG didn't run much wingT last night. Mostly a spread. I was surprised because they were very successful with the wingT for quite a few years. I guess they didn't have the personnel this season maybe because of the inexperience of their young QB. He threw the ball quite well last night, btw!

Now it's onto the real season, the season where you're playing hardware and rings. Normally I would want Cathedral to play through and not be a bye team but this year they can really use the week off to get healthy. The Plainfield at Decatur Central game leads off this sectional next Friday night and could be a very interesting match-up.

But Shelbyville did score in their last game.

Center Grove had a 42 yard drive for a field goal in the third quarter and there were 45 yards in penalties on Cathedral on the drive. The officiating was far from being acceptable! Just watch the replay! I was told it was down because of Fall Break. It was sparse.

143 of those yards were against Cathedral. (and those were just the penalties that were accepted)

Cathedral overcame 143 yards in accepted penalties to win 14-9. The Irish are not an undisciplined football team, and this was by far the most penalty yards they have accrued this season. Probably another 50 yards or so were declined by Center Grove. There may have been more personal fouls called in this game, most all on the Irish, than most basketball games. The game is now being shown on a delayed basis on WHMB, channel 40, in Indianapolis. I would advise anyone who wears officials stripes to skip this one. More later.

Doesn't seem to be as much discussion for this game compared to years past. The weather should be better this week and this should be another outstanding game on both sidelines.

There are a few programs on that list that have had great success in the past!

This is nothing more than deja vu all over again. This is the annual, let's discriminate against "unworthy" teams. How about we just leave things alone and let things play out. A seeding wouldn't be a bad idea but it's not totally necessary. You're going to have to play the best somewhere along the line.

Please, NO CLUSTER! We tried it and it didn't work out at all! Just let everyone participate and things weed themselves out!
