This week’s game (week 12 - sectional championship): #3/#2 Bloomington South (9-1) at Seymour (6-4) Notes: -Bloomington South is #3 in the media poll and #2 in the coaches poll. -Bloomington South beat Seymour 47-0 in week 9. -Bloomington South leads the all-time series with their fellow former South Central Conference member, Seymour, 12-6 and has won the last four games. Seymour’s last win was in 1990. -This is the first ever postseason matchup between Bloomington South and Seymour. -
I’m glad you understand where I’m coming from because I didn’t want to sound like I was knocking your team. I just have to be honest because there’s two things you can almost count on with Bloomington South every year and both are negative. 1. They’ll amass a lot of penalties. 2. They’ll fall apart in the postseason at some point (whether they’re favored or not) and it’ll keep them from getting to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Nah. They had sat for too long. They didn’t have a week 9 game and then got a first round bye. I expect things to look more normal starting this week. -

Here are the final scores for the other two games not mentioned. Greenwood 43, Jennings County 12 Castle 35, New Albany 17 Seymour is our only hope now, although they lost at Bloomington South 47-0 two weeks ago. Seymour is the only HHC team in the last two years to advance to a sectional championship. -

I knew your dad coached high school football in Texas but I didn’t know you had an interest in Indiana high school football of all things, Dr. Sheldon Cooper. -
I don’t trust Bloomington South in the postseason. In the last nine years, they’ve lost several games in the regional that they were favored to win. Castle upset them in 2015 and last year. New Albany upset them in 2021. Until I see something different, I can’t pick Bloomington South.

Still need week 11 picks from @Owls2005, @billybob, @Fkfootball, and @mamasa -
I believe it’ll be Snider vs whoever wins sectional 13.

Neither Bloomington school will make it to Lucas Oil Stadium

Bloomington South wins by 10+. The game earlier this year was a classic. This one won’t be.

I hate not having faith in Floyd Central given the year they’ve had but once bitten, twice shy. -

I definitely hope Adams Central wins it all because I don’t want to see Lutheran beat them three years in a row. However, I’m not feeling very confident it’ll happen. I hope I’m wrong but Lutheran just looks too good. -

Bold statement -
I could but I don’t think I’d be as nice about it the second time around. It’s better for me to just keep quiet. 😂

I have quite a few connections to Jennings County. Would’ve been nice to see Buening build something there but I don’t think he had the support needed to do so. Luckily, he was able to find some success at Southridge.

I doubt it happens but here’s to hoping Jennings County advances to play East Central for the sectional championship. The Panthers have only played for a sectional championship one time and it was the fourth and final time they played East Central, a 35-0 shutout loss in 2000. The Trojans are 4-0 against the Panthers.

Yikes. Just noticed I fat-fingered this one. Evansville Reitz is the #2 team in both 4A polls, not #1. -
