I know the winner gets a bye but the conference title games just don’t mean much and the 3rd place team (whether 11-1 or 10-2) gets an extra week off anyway…and a likely home game, especially if they are actually 11-1.

Possibly....but I would say if IU tops out at #10 and gets to the conference championship, a loss knocks them out of the playoff.

Which is dumb. Let’s say OSU sneaks by PSU in two weeks and that is the Nittany Lions’ only loss…they gonna drop to 7-8 and then waltz into the playoff, with a possible home game to boot.

Conference title game losers gonna get screwed for playing an extra game.

Certainly if it’s OSU in this scenario though, Ryan Day will just get the rules changed immediately afterwards.

1.  It’s SHERRONE.

2:  Not there yet.  The term is derived from following a legend with an embarrassment of riches at your disposal in terms of talent.  Michigan lost 10 of its offensive 11 starters from 2023-24 and only returned 4 starters on D.

Would assume a blue blood program like Michigan doesn't rebuild...it reloads, right?

If not, guess they need to up their NIL game.....and focus more on the portal.

Nah, last year was a generational team for Michigan.  They aren’t able to reload as quickly as the Ohio State’s and Georgia’s of the world.

They are more so the Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame type of blue blood.

Then again, there is never an excuse to be this bad, especially on offense.

I guess...although Georgia hasn't been there that long...took Kirby Smart to get there, and work for awhile to finally get the Dawgs to the Bama level.  Teams fall from that level as well.  Look at Bama currently, and Florida after Urban moved on.  

The question is which direction is Michigan headed with Moore at the helm?

Gonna find out the next three years.  No way he gets less time than that.

Lots of positive momentum and juice on the recruiting trail right now and with NIL but I’ve heard it before so will wait and see.

Michigan should never lose a money cannon war but its philosophy is still anti pay for play.

I am sure die hard Rutgers fans appreciated having to stay up past 2:30 am eastern time to watch their team play on TV

Ohio State 21, Nebraska 17.  That should put a smile on Hoosier faces!  And the game was in the Horseshoe.  They are not unbeatable!

Lots of teams in the top 10 are not unbeatable.  Some have proven that already.

There are things I don't like about this. 

IU could end up in the B1G Championship and then play Oregon again 2 weeks later. 

There is no reseeding in each round....does not make sense to me.

Current state of the game....players are their own agents and can look for the best deal around.

So, we are almost through year 1 of what I claimed would not last for 5 years. 

I am curious...as great as this season has been for a team like IU, I am starting to wonder what some of these teams will look like a year from now. A guy like Cignetti, or even Deion now; how long do they stay? Coaches have to spend as much time recruiting their current roster as they do high school prospects/transfer portal players.

I read somewhere today that if 'Bama beats LSU tonight, they have a 79% chance of making the Playoff even with two losses!  That's just crazy!

I will be curious to see who gets left out of the playoff. For the B1G, Penn State is a team that needs help. The other 3 teams control their own destiny. Can the B1G get 4 teams in? I am not sure any conference gets more than 3 in. I do think IU needs to be osu to have a chance to stay in.
Interesting to see Miami drop so far, but I felt after their game against Va. Tech they were ranked too high.
