With all due respect to Bulldogs, Devils (both red and blue) Indians, Patriots, Spartans, Tigers, Trojans, and Wildcats; here are a few that aren't nearly as common:

1. Andrean 59ers

2. Cloverdale Clovers

3. De Kalb Barons

4. Eastern (Pekin) Musketeers

5.  Paoli Rams

6. Pendleton Heights Arabians

7. Rensselaer Bombers

8.  Speedway Sparkplugs

9.  Vincennes Lincoln Alices

10.  Washington Hatches

Yeah, yeah: I know there are more out there, so don't go aggro Benton Central Bison, Muncie Bearcats, and North Judson Blue Jays, et al.

Really tough to see the Rochester Zebras didn't make the top 10 or even an honorable mention 😉 Cool list though

They were up there...

1.  Frankfort Hot Dogs

With regards to Carmel Greyhounds, Hobart Brickies, Munster Mustangs, and the Noblesville Millers: not quite.

Good try, though.

Greyhounds?  Mustangs?

You have to be joking.  Both  are way to common:

https://masseyratings.com/mascots?m=MUSTANGS

But I'll give you Brickies, and maybe Millers.

I rest my case:  https://masseyratings.com/mascots?m=HOT DOGS

It has become apparent I have been disrespectful to many, so here are a few more:

Wabash Apaches, Crawfordsville Athenians, Penn Kingsmen, FW South Archers, South Adams Starfires, Kanakee Valley Kougars (with a K, one of my all-time faves), Lewis Cass Kings, Mooresville Pioneers, Winchester Golden Falcons, Rochester Zebras, Shelbyville Golden Bears, and Madison-Grant Argylls.

Not in the IHSAA, or are Slicers, Comets, and Lakers.

Carry on.

If you are going to go the misspelling route:  Kokomo Wildkats.  One of the best.

I'm not, but the Jefferson Bronchos are up there as well.  Thanks for taking the fun out of this...

BTW, I never said the best, but you do you...

How am I taking the fun out of this, by providing other unique mascot names?

And I did think about the Bronchos, but I had read somewhere that it is really a more archaic version of Bronco:  https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/252000/thrown-by-broncho-or-is-it-bronco-or-bronc

Logansport "Berries"

One I overlooked, don't know how as the school is less than an hour away from my office.  Then again, these all came from the top of my head as I fund them all unique to the IHSAA.  So, let's all recognize the Avon Orioles, Delphi Oracles, Franklin Grizzly Cubs, Garrett Railroaders, Greenwood Woodmen, Linton-Stockton Miners, Martinsville Artesians, Mount Vernon Marauders, and Plainfield Quakers.

There will be no awards given out as this particular thread was not started to be an act of one-upmanship, but just a little fun.

Not trying to one-up, but, just add to the fun a little.

Aren't the Laporte Slicers in the IHSAA?
