Don't make the mistake of showing up at Northrop for this one. The Bruins are hosting New Haven tonight. Game is being played on the south side of Fort Wayne at Wayne High School.

Good interview on Warren's twitter page with the head coach.

Found this interesting, haven't heard about this guy before.

I like most of his picks:

I think Carroll's offense will be on the field long enough to keep HSE from dropping 38 on them.

I think Concordia will be more competitive than he's giving them credit for.

Snider checks a lot of boxes, but offensive line isn't one of them. Warren's DL sports three D1 guys and one DII guy. If Snider wins, I would be surprised if it's by double digits.

I will be in attendance for this game to get a first hand look at both teams. This is almost a no win game for Snider, if they win, everyone will be saying Warren is overrated, if they lose, everyone will be saying last year was a fluke. Oh well…

Nah. Anyone with a morsal of a brain knows that outgaining a team 431-207 despite turning the ball over three times isn't a fluke. But one year can make a world of difference. Warren returns more than Snider does, hence the uphill battle Snider has. This OL vs DL thing is what could make Warren the victors in this one. Snider has athletes. Should be interesting. I can see why most people have Snider as a Top 10 team. And I can see why most people have Warren as at Top 5 team............regardless of what happened last season.

Just stop.  Its actually the exact opposite.

Not really, but ok. Just wanted to see if everyone was paying attention…. Lol

Regardless, even if Warren is not an elite team this year the name recognition of beating them (again) will resonate state wide.  A school of 3800 playing a school half (roughly?, too lazy to look up the numbers) is nearly an "everything to lose" game for the larger school every time.  While many might attempt to turn a Warren win into discrediting Snider's win last year, who cares?  Snider proved it belonged by waxing Decatur Central and winning 5A last year.

Sure.  Will it be archived?

I’ll be at another game myself.

It should be archived at summitcitysports.com. You can pick it up live on your phone. Just click the Live Video tab and several games will pop up. Might have to hit the "show more" tab after scrolling down.

Snider bad play calling at start of 2nd half IMO. Vance was getting some yardage on last few drives in 1st half and the wildcat to start 2nd was lame

Strange but true: this is the first season opening win for Warren since 2019.

Regardless of the “they should win, it’s Warren Central,” that has to feel good for Coach Kirschner and the team to get the job done to open up what really needs to be a big year.

Congratulations to both teams on a hard fought game. This game was dead even going into halftime, but WC made some plays on offense in the second half to seal the game.

I predicted a low scoring game in this one and felt that the difference would be a special teams or defensive touchdown. The latter never materialized, but the former did. Both teams have a Top 5 defense in my opinion. Warren Central features the best defensive line I've ever witnessed at the high school level. So I'm not surprised that this young Snider offense struggled to move the ball against them. They had a couple of opportunities to score in the first half, but just didn't capitalize. Hat's off to the WC defense.

I think WC will score a lot of points this year, but make no mistake, they faced a beast tonight in Snider. This Panther defense won't allow many points this year. I said it before, I'll say it again. Their D will keep them competitive in ANY game this season. I'm optimistic for both teams. The good news for Snider is that their offense won't see a defense this good for the next 13 weeks of the season. So they have 13 weeks to prepare to play this team again at state.

Warren Central can be proud of what they accomplished tonight. They took the two hour trip and defeated a very good football team and one of the best coaching staffs in the state. Snider can be proud of the fact that they went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the state despite having so many new faces on offense. I'm bullish on both teams. Again, Congrats to the Warriors.

True I'm sure it will help their mindset moving forward..can only imagine how the loss last year was demoralizing for them..possibly derailed their season 😏

Hard to derail a season that never got on track in the first place, thanks to Snider 🤪

Warren has had some humbling losses these past few seasons, especially at home. I think Snider last year takes the cake. And it’s a credit to Snider. Last year, to be a 5A team and walk into Warren’s house and blow their doors off was as impressive a performance I’ve seen.

Warren is seen as perennial state power as they should be. To split the series with the warriors is no easy feat..the panthers have a 6a heart walking in a 5a body...u speak of humbling losses..well this is one 4 Snider..we all know they can b good for the soul..

Watched this one passively as I was at another contest so I don’t speak out of turn.

But it seemed like every time I glanced down at my phone it was 3rd and long for both teams or one team was turning the ball over.

What was the final turnover ratio?

Bad vs. Worse..first game jitters? Maybe 4 to 2 in favor of Snider? The defenses both played well...lots of penalties for both sides....Warren did what they needed to win..yes cliché..

Warren had 3 interceptions, 1 running back fumble, and 1 fumbled punt, all recovered by Snider. Snider had 2 turnovers. Both offenses were bad, Snider’s was worse. It was a very ugly game…
