Shutouts and stats are great but a healthy team is more important when depth is a factor. NJ-SP will be a force in 1A for the foreseeable future. Even "coaches" learn things, and see teachable situations as time goes by. And that's a disparaging remark. I have always tried to suggest within a 'blowout' win, to think about the larger situation and perhaps the negative things that could happen within a contest that is well within control to a sideline. 54-0 would have been a moment for that to happen. 1 Quote
LB45321 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Will Judson remain 1A? With 4 straight SS runs and a State Finals appearance, how does the success factor impact them? Still not sure how that works….are there dedicated cycles or can teams move up/down each year?? Quote

You could appear in the Semi-State every single year of your existence, and you'd remain in your class. Semi-State runs don't earn enough points to move up. Quote

Need 6 points to move up in a 2-year period. I believe I heard success factor is a rolling 2 year period now. 1 Point - Sectional Win 2 Points - Regional Win 3 Points - Semi-State Win 4 Points - State Win 2023 won a regional, 2024 won a semi-state. 2+3 is 5, they will be 1A next season. If they WIN State in 2025, they would go to 2A the following season. 2024 Regional(2) + 2025 State(4) = 6 Quote

Yep, you're right. I accidentally looked at the 2023 regional as I wrote the 2024 part. They just need to win Semi-State in 2025 🙂 I fixed it below 39 minutes ago, Dolts said: Need 6 points to move up in a 2-year period.
