They have live-streamed all of Memorial games through Regionals over the last 2 years. IHSAA takes over when Semi-State happens. When I post the graphic later this week, it should have a link for the live stream. 17 minutes ago, TigerFan20 said: Didn’t they go for it on 4th and 12 around their last own 15 last week? I thought I heard they did. yeah, I was a bit shocked by that based o field postition. Obviously, VL was shocked too. 1 Quote
tango Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I'm kinda surprised HH gave up 14 1st half points to Lincoln... As for my thoughts on our game Friday night... I thought our D did exactly what we wanted, which was not take any chances and force SR to try to sustain long drives. While they had yards in the middle of the field, they didn't get into the red zone until the 4Q when the game was already over. I thought our QB was a little impatient in the first half and passed up some opportunities underneath. That was obviously addressed at the half because we were sue we were 4 of 6 on the two drives to open the 2nd half, and 1 of the incompletes was DPI. SR was showing a light box so we ran the ball. I also don't think we opened the whole playbook. I have not heard whether the Indiana SRN crew will be streaming the game. They do all our games. Since HH uses the HUDL production, we may not want to incur the SRN cost. Either way it should be on ihsaatv.org. I sure as heck hope so... I expect we'll see more guys going both ways this week. We really haven't had to do it much yet. Should be a great environment Friday. While Tango rarely misses a Tiger game by choice, I'll be in B-Town at Janko's Friday night so I'll be watching on the iPad. Quote

I might have find that play on the replay, I’m guessing there was enough room to make a run to convert. Quote

Both teams had some unexpected things in the semi....now what? Once I get the cool graphic that I believe Tango was talking about I'll post that, but for now: Common opponents Vincennes Lincoln- Evansville Memorial won 35-12 and Heritage Hills won 34-14. Southridge- Evansville Memorial won 24-7 and Heritage Hills won 43-14. 2008 Evansville Memorial 6 Heritage Hills 03 Slight corrections... 1 Quote

Might be off by a yard or two, but Vincennes had 106 rushing yards in the first half and total rushing yards at the end of the game for the Alices was 102. So thank God for halftime adjustments. Lincoln scored their 2nd td on a tipped pass in the endzone on 4th down so kind of a fluke their young qb impressed my quite a bit with his toughness and running ability Quote

If parking gets too awful or if you are there late, you can always park to the west of the field by the soccer field, bring your hiking boots. That is on the visitor side of the field. I expect quite a crowd, but like semi-state last year? Probably not. Quote

I don't know anything about either team, but I suspect whoever wins is probably in trouble in the Regional... Madison upset Scottsburg last week, and North Harrison has 3,000+ rushing yards on the season. That’s about as far as my knowledge is about those teams. Quote

I'd say getting out was a problem at SS, my son is a player so I didn't leave until later so I didn't experience that. It was standing room only and the field was circled with people. It was like the "glory days" at HH when the hill sides were packed with people. With our new bleachers that is a bit different than it used to be, a little more seating capacity on the home side. I'd park strategically if I were you. Quote

It has been literally decades since I was there for football. Where are all the entrance gates? I assume there is a visitor gate on that southwest corner now? My last recollection was entering on the north east corner and walking around. Quote
